I really wish that pond would re-open for us to go swimming in but all the broken glass from the drunken people in the months of the winter kept throwing beer bottles on the icy pond plus water rats were at the bottom of the lake. After about a year at this gym, I made the decision to withdraw my child following an experience…read morethat I found extremely unprofessional and upsetting. I was called into the lobby area at the end of practice (8:45pm) where concerns about my child were addressed publicly in front of other parents and children rather than privately and respectfully. Regardless of whether a child needs correction, embarrassing and berating a young athlete in public is not appropriate coaching conduct. It most certainly does not build confidence or correct the problem. There had also been previous comments made toward my child that I overlooked at the time, but this situation made me realize the environment was no longer one where my child felt comfortable or supported. Gymnastics absolutely requires discipline and structure, and I fully support accountability for children. However, there is a clear difference between coaching and humiliation and border line bullying. Management did respond to my concerns via message through the parent portal however it was the same woman that was working at the front desk to witness it, and said my story was different from the one Coach Sean told. No one else has reached out to me concerning this. The determining factor for me was last night when he yelled at my child in front of me and many others about her "behavior" during practice stating she was "terribly behaved" and "didn't focus at all". I was left so stunned at his tone of voice and overall way of handling things I immediately called when I got home telling them I am withdrawing my child. unfortunately our experience left us uncomfortable continuing with the program. Hopefully this doesn't happen to another gymnast. Pre teen years are so fragile I'm just so disappointed in how the matter was handled and then later brushed off.

Raises, opportunities and treatment was based of personal relationships instead of performance. What concerned me most, however, was the lack of professionalism around children. One adult staff member openly discussed personal views about not wanting children while saying she "loved helping raise other people's kids," (I have this on video) and this was said without parent permission or awareness. As someone who worked there, that felt inappropriate and crossed a boundary. Additionally, there was an older male staff member whose behavior toward teenage girl coaches made me uncomfortable. While I can only speak from my own experience, I personally would not feel comfortable trusting my child in an environment where that behavior was tolerated. Overall, this gym did not feel like a safe or ethical place to work or learn. I strongly encourage parents and potential employees to trust their instincts and ask a lot of questions before getting involved

A field hockey field, basketball court, soccer field, and even football. They run both youth and adult clinics. There is a concession stand, bar, and vending machine. It's pretty clean and well kept. They have evolved over the years. I've been playing here for years and wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

During the process this Melissa suggested my sister in law change what she wanted for the center pieces to something simpler, when what was chosen was something that Melissa was advertising she could do. My sister in law paid extra for the centerpieces to be delivered by a specific date. When trying set up delivery Melissa was very evasive, wouldn't not respond in a timely manner if at all, and had an excuse for why she could not deliver them. She would not answer phone calls and several times forwarded the phone calls when we tried to figure out delivery. Delivery was supposed to take place on a Saturday then she gave an excuse for why she couldn't and it became that the delivery would take place Sunday. Sunday came and no surprised she had an excuse for why she couldn't deliver the center pieces on Sunday and it became she would do it Monday. When discussing a time for Monday she attempted to suggest Tuesday for delivery until my sister in law became firm on wanting the centerpieces on Monday which was two days after the original date of delivery which was paid extra for. Melissa showed up to do the delivery after 7pm and claimed there was confusion on the delivery date rather than taking accountability for not having the center pieces done on time. Once my sister in law received the centerpieces they were given in poor conditions. NOTHING like what she advertised. Centerpieces done in difference materials for example some of the characters on the centerpieces were laminated, paper, and on styrofoam, making all the centerpieces look different rather than one order. The characters were claimed to have been cut out with a "machine" but looked as though a toddler had been given scissors to cut them. The boxes at the base of the center pieces were not all the same. There was styrofoam sticking out of the boxes. In the box in which she delivered said centerpieces she left "extra" materials so that we could "fix what we wanted." When everything was discussed including the fact that extra money was paid for the pieces to be delivered by a specific date she refused to refund anything. This was overall a very poor experience and very unprofessional. I would not recommend her to anyone.
