    Aforementioned corn on the cob.

The meats are good, the brisket twisters are great, but most of the side are meh. I'm mostly here to complain about the corn on the cob. I'm not sure if they are over cooking it or if it's just second hand cobs that they are getting from behind the local Golden Corral after they close.... Either way it's truly awful. But like an abusive relationship, I just keep coming back in hopes that it's changed. P.S. The burnt ends are bomb. P.P.S. The staff is always wonderful.

UPDATED REVIEW: Returned for a 2nd visit with visiting family. Only compliments on the quality and flavor. Pulled pork was moist and delicious. Brisket, jalapeño pineapple sausage, and sides were even better. Turkey was very moist, some of the best we've ever had from a BBQ restaurant. And this comes from a visit that was roughly 1hr before close.

Excellent food. We had a little bit of everything and the Mac and cheese was delicious. My boyfriend loved the sauce. The ribs fell off the bone. The chicken was also great! Highly highly recommend

I wanted to love it, but I couldn't. The BBQ, except for the sausage, which is awesome, was just a step off with the flavor. Service was fine although they meticulously weigh your meat portion which is odd.

Brisket, pulled pork, 3-cheese sausage Okra and potato salad.

My family and I stopped in today, and everything we ordered was outstanding. I had the three-cheese sausage with baked beans, my wife had the moist brisket with okra and potato salad, and my son enjoyed the pulled pork with mac & cheese. Every single bite was delicious. The sausage was a big hit with my wife, I loved the pulled pork, and my son was happy with it all. The okra tasted just like home cooking and took me back to my roots, while the potato salad was hands-down the best I've had--whatever they do to it sets it apart. The baked beans were out of this world. The meats were tender and flavorful, the sides were every bit as good, and the service was excellent. With so many good BBQ options in Northwest Arkansas, Blue Ember definitely earns its place among the favorites. We'll be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great barbecue and Southern comfort sides.

Good barbecue, at least as good as some of the overpriced local places that everyone seems so crazy about.

Food was great, service was pretty good; seems like they are still breaking in staff. Please add seating at the front in the lobby!

But it doesn't hit the top 10% in any of those. Still, VERY good and enjoyable. I'd give 4 1/2 stars if Yelp had that option. Beautiful, just right tenderness and flavor, brisket (bark the tiniest bit light). Absolutely stunning and delicious chiccharrones (still crackling as they arrived). Pork belly and brisket burnt ends were also delicious. Pulled pork nachos were good, but better with a bit of the Carolina mustard-based sauce. Collards were great after a hit of the hot vinegar (they should add a bit of vinegar when they make them). Street corn was very good. Smoked beans a bit disappointing--okay, but they need a bit more flavor depth and smoke. Nice sauce selection. Pleasant and comfortable space (but relatively small). We will definitely return. In fact, we had an additional order delivered from here on a Friday when the line was long out the door. This joint tops the others we tried in the area (yes, that includes the much vaunted Wright's). We will try some of the other smaller spots on our next visit. But right now, this is number one in the NWA Q scene in our (deep Q experience around the world) book.

Long story short I was not able to find any joy in life and was super down until I tried Wright's brisket and I decided that if there's really nothing else to live for, at least there's wright's brisket. I think about it pretty much daily I've had some 1000/10 and just some 10/10 but either way, I'm happy. I'm also very picky about ingredients but idc what is in their brisket or Mac and Cheese. I'll eat it any day. I haven't had anything bad from here. (But I haven't tried the coleslaw because ew)

Youngest got 1/2 rack of ribs and said it was seasoned really good and cooked to just slight pull to get a clean rib. The brisket him and his mom both said was smokey flavorful and very tender. The macaroni was mediocre he said at best but my wife said the baked beans were some of the best she's ever had. This place is definitely on the return often lost. Oh and my son's dog loved the Dino rib bone.

The lumpia was really good with a sweet dipping sauce. They poked holes in the takeout container to prevent the lumpia from getting soggy. We showed the lady a picture of what we saw from a different review and she quickly identified it. It was fast service & someone else came out later to check on how we liked the food. We were also given some dumplings to sample! They're located in a small court with other food trucks. Great location when the weather is nice.
