I originally went in for the fried chicken but they unfortunately didn't have any when I went so decided to try the baked chicken. Personally don't ever really care for baked chicken BUT THIS BAKED CHICKEN HERE WAS AMAZING !! Probably some of the best collard greens I've had in a long time & the Mac & Cheese just delicious. The sweet tea was SWEET & tasted different in a good way then any other sweet tea I've had. The actual spot is very spacious & had great music ! The staff was very sweet & patient & you can tell they work hard to make sure all their customers leave happy. The portions are great for the price and will leave you stuffed or with leftovers. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yesssssssss! THIS is true Southern Soul food eatin' at it's finest! My husband got the smothered pork chops with Mac n cheese and greens and my gawd! Flavor upon flavor upon flavor! That gravy can be slapped on an old boot and it would make the boot taste delicious. Im so dead serious y'all...go get you some! I ordered the baked chicken with greens and some candied yams...one word...SPECTACULAR! Everything I ordered was great but them yams...them mf yams! WU, WU, wuuuuu! The ONLY "issue" with ordering from here is that they do sell out QUICK! But once you taste the food-you know why. They open at 12:00 pm, my husband ordered our food at 12:47 pm and they had already sold out of their Red Velvet Cake which I can just imagine how good that thang must be. I wld give five stars but since I first tried it I been back every since and im getting back rolls... it's SOULFOOD which mean extra seasoning and extra sugar .. extra fat beware its bomb as heck - don't get me started on the blue lemonade -- it's addicting -- service isn't 5 star "you know how are ppl do" sad to say but its not horrible - its like your homegirls and ghetto cousins (no disrespect) weekends it seem like the mama uncle daddy sister and cousins be in the kitchen - def try it out you wont be dissapointed everything on the menu was excellent except the mashed potatoes lol --- overall I have to give them their flowers the food so Darn good .... I recently visited the location after hearing about their delicious mac and cheese. Unfortunately, I don't eat meat so there were not many options. With that said, the staff was friendly and even recommended that I try the red valet cupcake. The mac and cheese was best that I've had from a restaurant (extremely cheesy) and the cupcake was baked well. P.s. The facility AND bathroom was clean! read more

I ordered mashed potatoes topped with oxtail gravy, Mac and cheese, yams, and collards and of course a cornbread (I don't eat meat so that why I didn't mention it. BUT MY FOOD WAS SO GOOD ! Everything looked good there ladies on the serving line were soooo sweet and nice one was actually from Alabama like me so that was cool. And the music was on point ! 90s R&B ! And they had Crystals hot sauce. I'm more of a Louisiana girl but Crystals is definitely the next best thing to it for your collards ! So they know what they're doing. Highly recommend! read more

Wow, this was my first time here at the Blue Flame and I could honestly say, I'll be back. My friend and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. As soon as we walked in I believe the owner greeted us and thanked us for coming in. (That shows professionalism) . Since it was our first time, the lady gave us time to look over the menu .. we were not and did not feel rushed at all. The chicken was seasoned to perfection! the meat fell right off the bone, the mac & cheese was cheesy and baked like your grandmas mac & cheese. May I add, a lot of restaurants can't master mac & cheese but Blue Flame was amazing. The greens were also very good, neck bone also seasoned and very tender. Pricing is very affordable too! blue flame has the worst policy i have ever heard of for one. they are charging ridiculous prices in the urban neighborhood. i just purchased double mac & cheese, no rice no mashed potatoes and smothered turkey wings instead of getting smothered turkey wings i received two orders of mac & cheese and one i repeat one smothered turkey wing for the price of $20.41. when you first walk in the food is on à la cart the food looks like it's been sitting since morning my meal was super salty when i went to go take the food back not not even to get another order please just to receive my money back. she told me that she has a policy that once i walk out the door with the food, there is no refund, that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard in my entire life 32 years old i support businesses i support entrepreneurship. i support support my people in general, but this establishment has got to be stopped. they are charging ridiculous prices because they know that our people in the black community will pay anything for authentic soul food. it is absurd that they are continuing to charge these ridiculous prices and not help be held accountable for food that is too salty the macaroni and cheese disgusting the cheese itself was too much. the mac & cheese was watery, the smothered turkey wing the meat was super salty. would never be at disestablishment again. read more
