Man oh man--these are hands down the best bone-in wings I've had in Tampa so far! I ordered the spicy flavor and let me just say... absolute fire! The wings are big (not those tiny ones some places serve), so you're definitely getting your money's worth. They're fried to perfection, and the sauce clings perfectly to the crispy batter--super flavorful with just the right kick. The fries were also seasoned really well, no complaints there! Service was friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. The ambiance is simple and straightforward--small space where you order right when you walk in--but the focus is clearly on the food, and they nail it. Definitely coming back for another round!
Stopped by Yuppi after a night out. Perfect place to grab food before heading home. The space is small so not ideal for sitting inside. But a MUST! The wings were outstanding, and their sauce is one of a kind. The greens and mac taste very much homemade and the service is very friendly. My favorite was the greens! Definitely can't wait to return ! The wait time can be long if busy but definitely worth it!
Visited the Yuppi location in YBOR after realizing the food truck in Brandon was no longer open. I first tried YUPPI as part of an Elite experience and the wings were so Amazing! Flavor was excellent. This visit fell a little short as I felt like the wings were not crispy enough possibly because they are HUGE. Overall the wings and flavor were good but I will def order them well done next time. I advise placing your order ahead of time as they were packed when I visited. The ybor location is at: 1821 E 7th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605 located next door to a tattoo shop.
The wings were fried to perfection and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The shrimps were also very large. For sides I got collard greens and macaroni & cheese. The greens were so flavorful! I highly recommend them. For a dessert I got banana pudding. I felt the pudding was lacking bananas and cookies, so I probably wouldn't order that again. Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to try their food again!
Had to return... again! This place is just too good not to visit at least once a month. I'm gonna start making up the excuse that I need to go to the car wash next door, just to hit up Yuppi more often. The wings were phenomenal, as usual. And this time we tried the shrimp and the sides. Good lord... everything here is excellent. The shrimp was delicious and the potato salad and Mac and cheese were some of the best sides I've ordered at a place like this. They need to come up with a system to let you know your food is ready, without needing to hear your name called out. A text or a screen where you can see your name or something along those lines. It's very hot still when it opens and the sun hits right into the shed with the tables, so we like to wait in the car. Also, they need some sun blades or something to block that intense sun. But all that said... we'll be back... again.
Found this place by way of the Yelp event. My wife is elite but I am not so I paid for the food. I am happy to support this black-owned business. The staff was very courteous and grateful for the support. The food was very flavorful. I went with the special which included wings, shrimp, Mac and fries. Everything was seasoned well, hot and perfectly crispy. Highly recommend. A little pricier than I expected though. FYI, It is located next in a random lot next to a car wash. If you're not paying attention, you'll drive pass it. It's a bit of a drive from me, but I would return if I'm ever near Brandon.

On my recent trip, I was finally able to try the wings. The wings are incredibly crispy and highly flavorful and seasoned without being salty. They must use some type of premium chicken because the wings are big & fulfilling. I usually don't like drums because they are so meaty but it didn't matter here because the crispness is amplified on drums and flats. Amazing seems like an understatement. Definitely worth the hype! I also tried the mac n cheese and cornbread. The sides were decent. Nothing special like the wings or shrimp, just okay.

They're located in a food truck next-door to the car wash on 78th St. with outdoor seating (shaded picnic tables) and a truckside shaded area to wait in line. They made sure to have parking in the back grassy lot. I fell in love with the spicy wings right away! Those are my favorite entrée here. Their spicy wings can be described as not really that spicy, but more like a tasty sweet heat. It's similar to a sweet Thai chili sauce, but with different seasonings. A good second would be their fried catfish (good with hot sauce in my opinion). The baked mac & cheese, collard greens, and country potato salad are good to. That banana pudding blew mind and is my favorite dessert from here! Needless to say, it was bussin! I've already made a few trips here and already know what my go-to's are now. it was a little off the beaten path for me, but totally worth it. This place is gonna make me fat, lol!
This place is more than your regular bodega. While most reviews discuss the food here, I discovered Yuppi's through the Bounce app. It is an app that allows travelers to store luggage and/ or bags for a small convenience fee. In my scenario I had an Airbnb in the neighborhood that I arrived too early to check into. I was able to store my suitcases for a few hours while exploring the restaurants and bars of 7th Street. It was a seamless process and provided a quick solution to my dilemma. I felt like my possessions were in safe hands. read more
Yuppi is alright with me! Located inside a vibrant convenience store in Ybor. I had my order taken and even got a suggestion on a side to choose. My order took about 10 minutes but the wait was worth it. The original Yuppi Wings were hot, crispy and succulent. I'm sure the crunch shook the ground. The wings didn't make it home as I couldn't stop crunching. The Mac and cheese was so hot and delicious that I had to take my time and eat it at home. Definitely a must try spot in Tampa Bay. read more
So I been hearing about this establishment for some time now. People raving about the wings, telling me you need to go so can write a review. Yesterday was the day. Basically it's your local corner store split with this wing establishment sharing the same space. It's in the middle of Ybor city #IYKYK that Ybor is a mixed crowd with chickens and roosters all over. I put in my order a 15 minute wait, no seating you have a choice of taking it home or some of the local bars let you bring your own food in. I end up ordering the popular wings with the yuppi sauce mixed in. Wasn't impressed, no seasoning no flavor unless you order the sauces, which Basically that is your seasoning. I will say the wings were cooked well. This is why I don't follow the hype. The hype up will get you a seasonal hype but then it's over like that. This establishment can try seasoning so you won't need the sauce as the lead of there wings. But from what I saw I give this establishment another 2 years till the next hype comes in. The corner store gimmick will soon be over. read more

Hands down fantastic food! Cooked to perfection! I had been wanting to try Yuppi in Ybor City for months but kept missing my opportunity due to my work schedule clashing with Yuppies open hours. But oh my the wait was worth it! Their catfish is da bomb, absolute finger-licking goodness. It was crispy all around, not mushy or half cooked inside. The sides I chose were collard greens and mac and cheese plus cornbread, all yummy as well. I got the Yuppi sauce but it was way too sweet and I love sweet things. Parking is bad but it is Ybor City. There is a pay for parking lot behind the strip where Yuppi is located but starts at $20!!! Eeek! A person could go broke visiting too often just due to the parking fees. Not Yuppis fault, just adding this in to find street or free parking so you don't get gouged. read more
Juiciest wings ever!! Perfectly fried & seasoned as well. The Mac & cheese was also very seasoned! I also got the cornbread & banana pudding. The cornbread was perfect & they give big portions. The banana pudding was more light than I'm used to, almost like a whipped cream consistency but it was still good. The staff was super nice, not a big line at all and the wait wasn't bad because the wings were super fresh! read more
I pass by this place every day but never thought it'd be so good. Line was long just after 5pm but worth the wait. They had music playing outside and the Yelp event we had gave us 10 wings and fries. I also ordered some banana pudding and Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious! On the pricey end but I still think them wings were good. My football season sunday go to! read more

Let's get into it. I had seen so many Instagram posts about it and since I live overseas, it had to wait for my summer stateside visit. I raved about it to my family and my cousin said someone she follows on Tik Tok also said it was great, so we made it a family trip. We went on a Monday and arrived before they opened as I anticipated a long line based on my online stalking. It wasnt busy and we were the first customers of the day. Let's start outside, there are picnic tables under a shelter to eat and I would suggest eating there as the food is served hot. We took ours home and the styrofoam container did no justice to fries as they became soggy...its science...not their fault. There was an employee smoking outside and then back into food truck to prepare food. I have nothing against smoking and I assume he washes hands but I just don't like the visual appeal so maybe smoke break could be out of sight. I ordered the Wing and Shrimp combo. I wanted collard greens as my side but they were out which was very disappointing as it was the start of their opening time so not sure why they didnt have any....not to mention they open late in the day so you would assume they could stock. I got the mac and cheese instead and it had a heavy garlic taste and very oily...I would not order it again. The honey cornbread is definitely box Jiffy. But you get a HUGE piece, enough to share or eat for days. We ordered what was listed as homemade ranch but it was just Ken's Ranch packet. The chicken was seasoned well and very crispy but the Yuppi sauce was not for my taste buds. The squeeze of lime does help. I'd opt to get them plain next time. Those that arent sure, just get sauce on the side. Shrimp was large and also fried to perfection. Also note, if u don't eat them all and you try to reheat...it will burn because of the honey in the sauce. I do not eat potato salad but my family did enjoy it. Overall, I won't rush to go back because the yuppi sauce is their thing but its not for me and its quite pricey. However I'd still encourage others to try as well have different taste! read more

Yuppi has moved to the Tampa Sandbox and is even closer to me now!! They are now cranking out these wings in a beautiful food truck in a beautiful location. Me and hubby were greeted warmly!! The food was still as good as the first time. We had wings, mac and cheese, collard greens, shrimp, and banana pudding!! If you have yet to try Yuppi take this as your sign!! read more
So, I went here after a night of bar hopping in the Ybor area and this place peaked my interest based on proximity of where I was at at the time and reviews. It's actually located within a shoppette too with counter service. Anyways, this place definitely has character for sure that can be a bit overwhelming for some. I went here and there was music blasting from a local DJ with expletives abound. A little bit too loud to order, but I was still in a buzzed stupor so I was living for it. They specialize in fried wings and shrimp. I went for the Yuppie Half and Half Special for $20 and got their Bacon Collard Greens and Fries. The wings were on the sweeter side with good seasonings. The shrimp were my favorite for sure though. Perfected fried imo and just jumbo and juicy! The Bacon Collard Greens were really delicious too. Super flavorful and hearty! Indoor seating was not available for me when I came, but sitting outside during a nice Florida night was just fine. read more

They do have some of the best chicken wings in town. I was invited to try their wings once and have brought my family back now a few times. Their wings are big, juicy, saucy with a lime wedge. Just hit different. You won't have a wing flavor like this anywhere else. Their yuppi sauce is just amazing. I follow them on instagram and I see them whip up fried Lobster, fried fish, Fried shrimp and Fried corn. But these aren't regularly found on the menu. So make sure to check their socials to see what new fresh item they're cooking up. The vibe and the food is well worth the visit. Thank you for making a unique new spin on wings. This could definitely become a spot for us. A quick, tasty meal at an affordable price speaks my language. We ordered The catfish and fries, their signature wings and a side of Mac n cheese. The catfish was seasoned very well! As well it's a good size piece of fish. The wing sauce was really good. I'll admit that I'm always skeptical about "signature sauces" but this one was very very good and the wings were cooked through and breaded nicely. The Mac n cheese was so good. My friend and I joked that "they made that at the house!" Meaning someone who knows what they're doing made that Mac n cheese. It's located right off 7th ave within a store and it has a place to sit and wait on your food. Nice quaint setup. read more
The YUPPI wings were so good. The chicken was so juicy and the flavor was finger licking good! I thought it would be more spicy but so glad it wasn't and I could taste the honey flavor within the wings. The collard greens were okay but it was the Mac and Cheese that won my tastebuds. It was so bomb! I went back the next day to order two more sides of it. Let me not forget the banana pudding . It was so yummy! I enjoyed the cookies and the texture of the dessert . read more

This truly is a hidden gym. If you are like me and are a sucker for good food then stop by and try. I ordered the friend chicken and shrimp and was blown away by the quality. You can tell they season there food with a lot of love because when you bite into it, omg be prepared to have your taste buds blown away. Please be patient with the staff. Y'all don't walk here, RUN here! Their food is amazing! Although it's inside a food mart, the food mart isn't dirty nor does it give gas station vibes so there's that! The owner was super helpful in explaining the menu, we opted for YUPPI wings(1/2 OG & 1/2 Spicy), Mac and cheese and collard greens. Pros: Everything was tasty! - OG YUPPI wings 10/10. It tastes like a honey, orange sauce. Wings are extra crispy. - SPICY YUPPI wings 8/10. It's the OG YUPPI with a slight kick. Not very spicy. - Mac & Cheese 10/10. Tastes homemade! - Collard Greens 10/10. Tastes homemade! My bf (Guyanese decent) said it reminded him of my Moms collard greens and he'd go to YUPPI everyday to eat the collard greens, alone. First off this place was a pretty cool little food truck. The workers were all super kind and responsive. They were on top of my wife and I's order. They also have their own homemade lemonade which was super delicious (I tried the watermelon one). As for the food, I love sweet and savory flavored foods, and these wings where exactly that! I haven't had this style wings before and they definitely hit the spot! The fires were also super flavorful with the seasoning and honestly I would choose these one over most fast food ones any day lol. This place was also super popular, which made the wait kinda long, but the food was definitely worth the wait! Lastly it is an outside venue in Florida so be prepared for a bit of humidity (they open at 5 so it wasn't as hot, but humidity was pretty bad) and mosquitoes. Overall 10/10 would recommend trying if you haven't! read more
I can't explain why, but I'm a fried catfish fanatic! Any place that sells it is gonna get at least a one time visit out of me! Yuppi, formerly known as Black Chef Eatery has earned wayyy more than one visit from me. It's on the far end of the 7th Avenue strip in Ybor away from most of the action in a small convenience store so its very easy to miss if you're not actively looking for it. My go to order is usually the $25 combo with both catfish and shrimp and 2 sides. I'm typically not a fan of sweet and savory combos but i guess they've found the cheat code for my taste buds because I've gotten out of my bed after midnight to drive to Ybor for an order. I got to meet the owners on this visit and they were so sweet and welcoming of any feedback they could get for improvement. This type of genuine concern for the customer's experience is what makes customers still choose to return even if they do have a bad experience at some point because you know they care. Stop by after a night of partying in Ybor when you have the drunken munchies where everyone craves wings and your taste buds are fully activated lol. You won't regret it whether u choose the wings, shrimp or catfish. And then come sober too! It's still amazing LOL read more
