I would absolutely recommend Annie for eyebrow microblading. She is so sweet and kind. She first did my eyebrows in 2019. I loved the results and they lasted me quite awhile without a touch up. I went to her again recently and she still remembered what we talked about more than three years before! Annie is incredibly skilled at what she does and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Her shop is small but cozy. This time around, I especially appreciated the foot rest which helps keep you comfortable during the entire session. The microblading takes about an hour. First, you undergo two rounds of numbing, one for twenty minutes and one for ten minutes. Annie then stencils your eyebrows and lets you take a look to confirm they are the shape and style you want. The actual tattooing is a bit uncomfortable and you can feel the small etchings on your face but definitely not painful. If you're like me and don't have the skill or patience to create your perfect brow every day, microblading is completely worth it. read more

So I was originally super nervous to get lash extensions because of the money and the fact that I have a very natural style overall. But, spur of the moment, I decided to go for it. I texted for an appointment and Lash Eyeland got back to me super quickly. The experience was great! Angie is literally heaven sent, always providing the best service and results when it comes to my eyelashes. Annie is a genius at microblading! I have been a customer for years since back when she did eyelash extensions from a salon in midtown east. She is now primarily focused on semi-permanent makeup and she's an expert...so much so that she actually teaches classes on it in Korea!! After years of hemming and hawing about it, I finally took the plunge and got microblading done by Annie in Sept 2017. She gave me the most adorable sheet explaining what would happen and how I would feel throughout the process. The pain wasn't too bad, but for me the itching was nearly unbearable. I think I am more sensitive to itchiness though as I haven't heard this complaint from other friends who have gotten microblading. I never really had eyebrows to begin with and a thyroid issue made what little I had fall out. Left with very sparse eyebrows, I spent at least 15-20 min any day I was out in public drawing in my eyebrows, making sure they matched and sometimes having to start all over. Even after the first appointment I was super happy. I needed some powder to fill in a couple of bare spots, but overall, it was easy to do now that I had a shape already. I just got my touchup done and the healing process seems to quicker this time around. I'm on Day 4 and already in the itchy stage. Will update this review once the touchup has fully healed but overall I highly recommend Annie. She is careful when measuring and drawing the shape of your eyebrows, the lines look so precise that friends who were inches away were fooled into thinking they were real hairs, and if you have any modifications you would like, she listens to you during your touchup and makes the changes you want. read more

First and foremost, I love my eyebrows! Annie rocks! I can't get over the shock that I can now wake up with beautiful brows! Not needing to do my brows in the morning is a major life and game changer! Not having to worry about makeup smudging or coming out of the shower looking horrible. Went to Lash Eyeland over a year ago for both eyeliner and eyebrows. I thought the brows were fine - one was a little higher than the other though, which really bothered me. Picture attached. The real issue was the eyeliner. Annie tattooed my wing too low, despite me having drawn my liner on twice as a reference. The liner looked thick and black right after the process, however the whole color peeled off after just 2 days, revealing a faded, uneven, and completely gray liner. I was afraid of this happening, which is why I had asked if this was a concern prior to paying $800 for the liner, but was assured the color would stay jet black for months. Since the color was so faded and misplaced, I at least thought it would completely fade away quickly, allowing me to forget about the whole thing. However, after well over a year, the liner is the exact same faded gray color. Picture attached is from today, a year and a half later. This means Annie applied the color too deep into the skin, making her mistake permanent rather than the semi-permanent solution I thought I was getting. Now I'm in a situation where I have to pay for a laser removal for a tattoo that was advertised as semi-permanent. AVOID at all cost! read more

Prior to my chemotherapy treatments, I had read that Annie microbladed eyebrows for cancer patients... and provided a discount. I was totally freaking out about my road to come, and will say that having the microblading done was wonderful. We discussed the shape and color we wanted to use. I was very impressed with the process. Half my real eyebrows fell out after my very last treatment. However, during the entire course I didn't look sick, due to my full, fabulous eyebrows, and thanks to Annie. Once that portion is over, I went in for my touchup and actually fell asleep, I was so relaxed. I never found this procedure painful. The numbing cream works well. The microblading provided self-confidence to persevere. My clients had no idea, and that was a huge weight off my shoulders. I don't remember who my lash technician was but she was very skilled, I didn't feel the usual burning sensation one gets from the glue. But they've been kind of falling off and it's only been like, 4 days. I paid close to $200 for lashes that look meh. Paid extra for the softer lashes, and she promised it'd be more dramatic (something about the individual lashes being flat or something? Don't know-- I feel like she was just trying to make me pay more!) but if anything they were way simpler than what I normally go for. Decided to get microblading after seeing Annie's beautiful designs and to save time in my morning routine. Lash Eyeland was a great choice because of proven experience, price and friendliness of staff. Because of numbing cream, the procedure did not hurt. It took a few weeks to get used to the new look but 3 months later, my brows are bolder and definitely saving me time everyday. Only thing I would warn about (which is true for any artist) is the healing process for those with dark brows is rough. Please plan ahead to avoid important social events for especially the next couple days but even the next couple weeks. Annie's assistant did give me a sheet showing that for the week after, brows are darker but the experience was really tough for me. Luckily, I had the procedure Saturday morning so the worst (when my brows were essentially black and super thick) passed over the weekend. Sunday night, I dreaded going into work and even considered bangs but eventually went in. Over weeks 2-3, my brows peeled but I preferred this to the original thick black brows. The process itself was not that painful. Healing afterwards took me much longer than what they say you should expect - my scars did not start peeling off until after 2.5 weeks. After quite an awful microblading experience a few years ago I decided against it although I have sparse eyebrows that needed a lot of filling. After doing a lot of research and contacting friends / Yelpers who have tried this I chose to go with Annie and I'm really glad I did. Everything from making an appointment to the facility, to the services, and follow up was top class and professional. The location is convenient (right by Penn Station), clean, comfortable, and safe. The day before the appointment she sends a message about preparing for the process to make sure we will have the best results. I went for microblading, I was nervous at first - Annie reassured me about the process and consulted me regarding the shape and color of my eyebrows and only begins once we both agree on it. First a numbing ointment is applied, once it is active, she then artistically and expertly begins her work. It's about a 10 day recovery time. I went to work the very next day and I woke up thrilled that I didn't have to spend the usual 15 minutes in front of the mirror to get my makeup on. This simplified my morning / going out routine by a ton and I'm glad I did it (the last 3 days of recovery is an awkward peeling phase which happens normally with this type of treatments.) Annie also gave me this wonderful cream to apply to the eyebrows to help with the after care, that stuff is great - I wished I could have gotten more for daily use lol. UPDATED: Updating from 4 to 5 stars. Service was great the first time I went despite lashes falling out, but they went above to fix it. Squeezed me in on my schedule within 2days of getting in contact. Not only did they fix the right eye, but refreshed the left so they were balanced and looked more natural together. So happy the second time around. --- I came here this past Thursday (6/21) after work on a whim since I have an event this upcoming week. Super clean and friendly staff, as well as incredibly communicative and quick booking for response. Heads up they only do J and C curl (I didnt check and wanted a B). The process was relaxing & they clearly knew what they were doing. Clean salon and I was impressed by the intimate yet pretty & spa-like space. Star off is due to the amount of lashes I feel like I lost on my right eye in the first few hours after getting them done (one time even came out as a little trio clump). Didn't wet or rub them, was watching movies just blinking lol. There are a lot of lashes in a set and I don't get extensions hardly ever so it was tough for me to tell if it was natural falling so soon or I was making it up, but it's end of day 3 now (2 if considering I went Thursday evening) and my left eye has only lost a few but the right looks as I'd expect after maybe 6-8 days and is less full than the other (I actually sleep on my left side though). It still looks ok, but I'm kind of bummed since now I'll likely have to get a touchup sooner than planned before the event. I went to see Annie yesterday and I'm very happy (so far!) with my decision. The booking process was done easily over text with Jen who was friendly and informative. I was a little weirded out at first giving the deposit and everything over text but I quickly received a confirmation email with details when she processed the deposit. The place is nice and Annie did a great job listening to what I wanted and running everything by me. I was super nervous (especially when she told me she needed to shave off half of one of my eyebrows to make them even!) and some insane things were going through my head involving sequestering myself in my apartment for a year if it goes poorly. The procedure itself took under an hour and I was there for about an hour and a half in total. It was uncomfortable and pinched at times but nothing I couldn't handle. I received detailed after care instructions and I love the results! Tons of compliments from my friends last night. I was told to expect scabbing in 7-10 days and that then the color will settle in and I can come back in a month for $150 for any adjustments. I'm actually happy with the color so if it lightens up much (which I've read that it often lightens about 10%) I may actually have her darken to this original color. Update: I have continued going to Annie since my original review. Wanted to add that I had a great experience with the other technician, Jin, as well. I was nervous to see someone else since Annie does such a nice job, but I was only able to go in on her day off last week. Just figured I'd let you guys know in case you have the same situation. Jin is really sweet and professional, and my eyelashes once again came out gorgeous :) I just tried eyelash extensions for the first time with Annie, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend this business. I have gone twice for lashes, and each time they have lasted about 4 weeks - Much longer than any other place I have gone. I have seen Angie and another technician, and both are excellent. The rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The establishment is in a well-kept building.
