I went for 80 lashes/eye and most fell off by day 3. This is not my 1st time getting lash extensions, so I was careful not to get them wet or rub my eyes. A dozen fell out on day 1 from simply blinking. The lashes were too thick and looked like spider legs. I asked for a natural look and hoped that Ivy, as a fellow Asian woman, would understand since our lashes and hair are very thin. Instead, the look she did was dramatic and after the application, she seemed surprised at how thick they looked as well. I didn't look happy and instead of offering to fix it, she kept saying "very natural, natural." It was hard for me not to laugh. There were some pros - Ivy got me in the same day and she was friendly. The application took less than an hour, though speed isn't always a good thing here, and the location felt clean and secure. The cashmere lashes do feel lighter than mink. The problem was that she used double lashes and some got stuck, so there were quadruple lashes in some spots. There were also a few lashes that were poking at my eye line. Even though cashmere lashes are lighter, they were clustered in some spots, and thus felt heavy and uncomfortable. On day 5, only those thick chunks were left and I had to spend additional at my usual place to get the chunks removed. There were only about 30 lashes left. Overall, it was a bad experience. What made it worse was that Ivy kept upselling from the moment I walked in. She convinced me to go from mink to cashmere (additional $20), then tried to sell refill packages on the way out and even microblading. She asked for tip and preferably cash. I always tip but don't like being told to do so. The 1st time customer rate was around $60 plus a $30 tip. For $90 total, I expected much better results and was very disappointed. read more

I called to make an appointment super last minute as I was inconveniently stood up earlier that day by my semi-regular lash lady. I never really get my lashes done, so I'm very particular about how they look. Ivy was super helpful in helping me achieve the look I wanted (and then some), and also getting me out of my comfort zone. She's super gentle; the environment is also very relaxing and quiet. I definitely fell asleep a few times, lol. As a person that doesn't often "self-care", I will be making a point to come back again! Also- I loved the photos she took at the end of the session. Kiki is a great technician. My experience is only a reflection of day 1 (will update in 2weeks) My 4 stars is for the finished product (my lashes) but my experience was not one I would like to have repeated if I can help it. I have short lashes, so extensions are like you is hung for bigger body parts. Ivy was very accommodating as I had a rough 12 hrs with scheduling as I lost my phone, so I appreciate their accommodations the day of. I found this opportunity on Groupon and was prepared to to $44 for mink lashes 80per eye. I was up sold hybrid eyelash extensions which is a $15 surcharge. I was a bit taken back because I'm still not sure what hybrid was or if my lashes could handle it. I would have wanted the basics but clearly Groupon merchants are about the upsell. Ivy then convinced me to try the cashmere which was another $20. Cashmere is much softer than the mink they had but I have never felt a mink what felt so synthetic and course. I was very disappointed in all these extra fees. But I will say when I completed the install, doing cashmere was the best decision I followed through on. It felt like I had nothing on my eyelash. Also my eyes didn't burn....I'm assuming hybrid means fanning where one lash has 2 strands. It looked full and dainty. I loved my finished result and I asked what a 2 week refill cost. I was told the service I received was valued at $170 and a two week refill was $90. When I was preparing to pay, I was told my $44 service was now $80 and if I wanted to tip. I said I would tip 20. She asked 20% or $20? I said $20. As it was time to pay, I was required to provide a $25 deposit through Venmo a day before, however I sent a friend request which was never accepted. The following day I lost my phone so when I arrived to receive my service, I was told I still had to pay a $5 transaction fee. I think Ivy is a cut throat business woman (with a smile) and she has a great technician working for her. But there's something unsavory about my experience and perhaps it's because I came looking to spent $44 plus tip but instead I spent $105 ....While I like the finished product, I just wanted the basics to start and I felt taken. Unfortunately, I really want to find a place where the same technician and I can visit every two weeks but I do t think $90 is something I can maintain every 2 weeks..... I recommend giving this spot a try....and bring cash or have a payment app. read more

Scammer on Groupon. I never leave bad reviews on this website but the service here is displeasing and they collected my money without providing service. Additionally the seller is extremely passive aggressive and disregards her customers time. I purchased a coupon of the full lash set off Groupon, then I contacted the owner immediately to figure out a time of appointment. The owner told me a time and immediately texted "Nvm" after stating the time with no said options of what other appointment times are available. She was being very passive aggressive through her texts. She changed the time to 2pm on a Friday which I immediately agreed to. One day before my appointment she asked to change the appointment time to 1pm, an hour early, which I agreed to. Because she had already changed the appointment time 3 times, I forgot the new time was 1pm and not 2pm. I couldn't make it and apologized kindly asking if we could reschedule (I feel bad for changing the time and missing the appointment but keep in mind she had changed it three times already, not regarding my own time and convenience). She would just read my messages afterwards and not respond. I have contacted her 2x and she is not responding to me. This is a perfect example of why you should never pay for things upfront as owners like her will attempt to scam you. I don't understand why she would ignore me after one schedule change after she's had changed the times three times previous. I will seek a refund through Groupon but the owner is trying to scam me since she already received my money. Very disappointed as her lashes looked great and her reviews were good. I tried this location based on the positive reviews here but they are truly inexperienced. It was painful as each lash was jabbed in my eye. I asked for natural looking cateye but the results look super fake and uneven. Many of the lashes cross each other even after combing. It was a bad sign when a cluster of lashes started falling out before I even left. The technician helped "fix" that but one eye still feels heavier than the other. In the end, I just couldn't wait to leave. Of all the lash studios I've been to, this was the most uncomfortable. They were not gentle at all, don't have picture menus and didn't ask what curl, so you have to trust the technician will give you great lash results. The Groupon price was fair but wasteful because I can't wait to get them redone somewhere else. They also require a $20 deposit over Zelle/Venmo to hold your appt which can be applied to tax and tip. read more

I had high hopes for this place but will absolutely not return and would ward others in doing so. First, I want to note the lack of hygiene: she did not wash her hands and when I walked in I was being upsold a higher quality of lashes and the owner told me I should touch them as soon as I walked in from the subway which I felt was super odd and dirty to do so. She pressured me to go out of my comfort zone and do a style that went against my original ask for natural. I usually do 9mm and she said they would be too short and said I should go up to 15mm!! I was convinced to do at least 13mm but they came out SOO dramatic and frantically goofy to my taste. When I asked her to fix it and that I didn't like it, she did not respond professionally and tried to convince me once again that my own taste was wrong and it was good for a full five minutes. She ended up pulling out nose trimming scissors and snipped the tops and still had me play for all upcharges and the "whispy" style that she took two seconds on snipping off. Never again, please be careful, and this was quite traumatic for a lash experience. read more

Small start up studio with 2 beds and relatively clean. They do lack the experience - the application was uncomfortable and each lash is jabbed into your eye rather than placed on your existing lashes. Of all the lash salons I've been to this is the only one that pokes them into your skin like needles. The other spots I can usually relax and is gentle enough to fall asleep. The results were also blotchy, some criss crossing and some areas thicker than others even after its been combed. The prices were great though with $39 on Groupon + $20 for cashmere material but unfortunately due to the lack of skills I will not be returning. I have a trip coming up so will just have to deal with the blotchyness. Asked for a length that is only slightly longer than my natural lashes but the results were still too long. You are supposed to know what you're getting because they do not have pictures to show you of the different styles, length, or curl. Without proper examples of what to get I relied on the person doing my lashes to use her judgement but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it what I asked for. read more

*This review is not about the quality of service.* I can't judge on that, because I was never able to successfully get an appointment. I would call the business owner, and they would insist I text them. I would send text them my availability, but no response on their part--yet I could see they read the text because they had read receipts on. This happened twice over several weeks until I finally called out how unprofessional their "booking system" was on the phone on the third attempt. I was finally able to schedule an appointment. 30 minutes before my appointment, as I was literally traveling on the train to the location, the owner canceled the appointment because I didn't confirm an hour before my appointment time that I was coming. Um excuse me, maybe I didn't see your call because of lack of service? My point is--I don't have a problem with people being booked and busy. But if that's the case, you need to close your books, hire someone for scheduling, or use some sort of booking system. The owner as it stands is very disorganized/unprofessional, and doesn't have the bandwidth to handle both booking and doing lashes. Book at your own risk because you probably won't get an appointment or response. read more
