Happy Hour was great! Loved the Mexican Beer $4 really COLD other people in party loved the margaritas and Pina coladas. Chips & Salsa, warm crispy chips and salsa was flavorful(ate way to much)lol Taco Tuesday $10, 2 tacos served with rice and beans, had the Gringo it was ok., Everyone who ordered Carnitas and Chicken Pastor were thrilled with their choice. The Sever was pretty new and was slow to serve and keep our drinks topped off and chips refilled, Help arrived, we were over it by then. I'll wait a few months b4 going back. Newly opened, but you'd never be able to tell -- they're operating like seasoned pros already. We came in for the happy hour deals, and everything we tried was excellent. They also have a kids menu with perfectly sized portions, which was a huge plus for our family. The restaurant has a great layout with a nice dining area, bar space, and patio seating that gives plenty of options depending on the vibe you want. Our order: Churros- must order! We have been here twice. The first time was great. The service was also good on both visits . The second time I ordered fajitas with no onions and it ended up with no peppers either . They didn't come out hot and sizzling which is disappointing. The meat wasn't hot . The waitress offered to bring out peppers but I was halfway done . I really enjoyed this place. Luckily we got there when it wasn't that busy because it was raining. We were originally told 30 minutes, but we actually got seated right away in the corner. The place was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. We ordered the pork belly, guacamole, and we got chips and salsa. The pork belly was really flavorful so was the salsa. Our friend's 3-year-old also liked it. For my meal, I got the chicken al pastor protein bowl. The chicken was moist and had so much flavor. It came with corn, rice, and beans. Our server Cassey (sp?) was incredibly sweet and attentive, but not too attentive. They have happy hour between 4-6pm from Sunday to Thursday so we got our drinks at a pretty good price. The service was great! We went during happy hour this last time and got the pork belly, flautas and birriadillas. The pork belly was good but not tender like it should be so 6 out of 10. The flautas were great on the outside but the chicken on the inside has ABSOLUTELY ZERO flavor so 4 out of 10. The birriadillas were the best thing we had 8.5 out of 10. The chips and salsa were 9 out of 10. We were going to order the street corn but found out it is nothing like elote, no mayo, watery and not like what we wouldve expected at all so I'm glad we didn't get it. read more

Tried TNA out tonight and it did not disappoint! Our waiter, Jamond, took great care of us. Food and drinks came out super quick, like shockingly quick. Happy hour specials were great. We had the queso and the flautas and margaritas. Chips and salsa were also solid. For the entree, we had fajitas and the veggies and meat were cooked perfectly. Chicken, steak, and shrimp were all well seasoned and flavorful. The only miss is the tortillas. They're from a package which is always disappointing. Other than that, no complaints! read more

This place just opened up around the corner from me in Benbrook & I was really excited to try it after reading so many good reviews. 3 of our family members went there & were seated quickly. However, I cannot give it more than 4 stars. I guess we went at the wrong time--about 6:30 on a Tuesday. The place was noisy & crowded. The service was exceptionally slow to take our order but she was quick to bring our margaritas to the table & they were yummy, especially the frozen mango served with a delicious bowl of Queso Blanco with ground beef &.chips. I am a tortilla chip snob & while their chips came out fresh & warm they were too thick for my liking. When we received our enrrees both of our sides of rice & beans were lukewarm at best. Our daughter's protein bowl was very large & filled with an unknown number of meats & vegetables. It looked delicious & she confirmed that it was. The tacos we had were flavorful but I would try another choice next time. I had their Tuesday Taco special with a Chicken Al Pastor & a Gringo Taco & both were satisfactory but not exceptional. Next time I will most likely order the fajitas. Although not highly impressed with our meals nor service we will most definitely return to try another choice. I hope this restaurant continues to improve & be successful--Benbrook desperately needs a good quality Tex-Mex restaurant. read more

I don't know how long you have been open, but the food was good! I know you can't accommodate every one, but the salsa needs to be a little more hotter! Shout out to the Friday, June 5th crew working after 8pm. In particular, the spunky bartender. She was awesome and fun. Our group of 5 sat out on the patio and had a wonderful evening. Apps were great - stand outs were the guac, elote and pork belly. All had cocktails and the bartender really went above and beyond explaining the ingredients and recommended modifications for our tastes. Multiple team members checked on us and one even highlighted the special salsa coming at the end of the month along with a sample of the mango habanero salsa for our table. Seriously, the team was in such a good mood and made the evening incredibly enjoyable. Our mains were tasty - including the enormous flautas, birria quesadilla and enchiladas. Wow.,....maybe I caught them on a bad night but Ive never had more bland over priced Mexican food....(yes a side order of beans is an additional $5 for a little bowl).....their salsa tastes like tomato sauce and uncooked chili powder, the fajitas at Tacos and avocado are just as expensive as Pappasitos, but very lacking in quality, texture, doneness and taste.....the interior feels as if you are sitting in Taco Bueno ....just all around a bad experience for me.....I waited a few months to let them get their footing before trying ...but it's just terrible food....service was great but the part we spend money on was a waste of $ As of now for me Tacos and Avocados is the 8th best Mexican establishment in Benbrook...right behind 3 Parrots, Taco Casa, Taco Bell, Chipotle, Dona Susy, Don Melquias, and Taco Bueno.......sad, Benbrook deserves better.... Had the chicken enchiladas and they were ok prob would have been better if they had been served hot but they came out barely warm. Husband had a burrito and said the gas station burritos off winscott were way better. They over-pour their drinks a bit so there is that lol. Service is good, very attentive. I downloaded Yelp solely to write this review. It took 10 minutes to be seated, the salsa was meh, chuys has much better salsa. Ordered a pina colada and a Paloma for my girlfriend, hers tasted like a diesel garage floor and mine had a long black hair in it. We ordered our food before the drinks were on the table, otherwise we would have left before ordering. Took forever to get more chips for the table, as well as the waters. Now let's get into the food, we got 6 beef tacos, and I would argue that Taco Bell has better ground beef. The lettuce was browning and the rice tasted like plastic. The beans were ok probably because they came out the can. For the 6 tacos and 2 drinks (and 15% tip), the total came out to $75 which is actually insane for the quality of the food and service.
