This afternoon was my first visit to the Benbrook location with my wife and five-year-old daughter. Having previously visited both the Aledo and Alliance locations, I had a good sense of what to expect, and Jake's once again delivered a great overall experience. Like the Aledo location, the Benbrook restaurant features an inviting outdoor patio and a kid-friendly activity area with turf, making it an excellent destination after family activities or for a relaxed weekend brunch. It's a place where mom and dad can enjoy a meal or drink while the kids burn off some energy. One thing that immediately stood out was the size of the outdoor space. The Benbrook patio connects to the neighboring Taco & Avocado area through a small grassy section, creating an even larger open-air environment. I would estimate the outdoor seating area is roughly twice the size of Aledo's, if not larger. There are multiple TVs throughout the patio, plenty of covered seating, and an impressive turf area for families. Another unique feature is the climbing structure designed for children, which appears ideal for kids roughly ages 5-13. It's a thoughtful addition that helps set this location apart from the others. My only recommendation would be the addition of more fans or an enhanced air circulation system in the outdoor areas. On lower-wind days, flies and other pests can become fairly noticeable, and guests often rely on nearby fans for relief. While it's a minor nuisance and certainly doesn't take away from the overall atmosphere, it would be a worthwhile improvement. Overall, I would highly recommend Jake's Burgers in Benbrook. Whether you're looking for a place to watch a game, enjoy a family-friendly meal, have a date night or brunch, or simply stop in for a drink from their well-stocked bar, this location offers a great atmosphere and something for everyone. read more

Hi Everyone, Went to a fairly new Jake's for lunch the other day. It was my first time trying Jake's and I have to say I was unimpressed! The restaurant itself was just average. Nothing special and a bit on the loud side. Our server was nice and did everything she could to provide good service. It was the food and the prices that killed this place for me! I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries for my lunch. The burger was bland and seriously nothing special. But it was the $5.50 (i think it was) small paper dish of sweet potato fries that pushed me over the edge! There could not have been more than 20 sweet potato fries in that little paper side dish! For the price they charged, I would have been embarrassed to serve them! Shame on you Jakes! Sorry, I will not be back!! Jim read more

I was shocked at how expensive the food is. Pretty much everything is à la carte, which made it a $100+ bill for two adults and two kids - no one got anything crazy. I could hardly eat my burger - it was dry and had no seasoning I could taste. I ended up taking it home so I could season it myself and it didn't go to waste. If I go back, I won't order a full meal. I'd only go back to let my kids play and I'll get some fries, but that's it. Also, the wait staff now hands you the kiosk to give them a tip when you are paying and they just stand there. Service was quick. There's a lot of good options on the menu. We were seated immediately and were greeted immediately by our server. She was super nice. We were in and out of there in under 45 minutes. The kitchen is incredibly efficient. The ambiance was like a regular burger joint. I absolutely love how much space was in the backyard and there's even a spot for pet relief. I had a Cobb salad because I wasn't that hungry, but then I also ordered loaded tots lol go figure. I ended up taking the tots and half the Cobb salad home. My husband ordered a burger which reminded him of a double double at in-n-out. He finished it so that means it was good. We also ordered the pretzel bites. It came with a white cheese sauce and mustard. The cheese sauce was divine. Overall, love that this place is here and they serve alcohol. read more

Our server, Jess G., took great care of us tonight! She was fun, kind, attentive and patient with our three boys. This was not our first time to visit this location, so I'm happy to say the food is consistently great! Of course my family loves the burgers, but also the creamy corn nuggets, pretzel bites, fried green beans, jalapeno bottle caps, the Texican salad and the kids menu chicken tenders. This location is new and clean, the patio is a real dream come true, and all the staff we've encountered are friendly and helpful. Shout out to Jess for a great night out for our family! Burgers were WAY overseasoned. Seasoned fries for $5 and you get a tiny basket and were not cooked crispy enough.

Stopped in for lunch after our Costco haul, immediately three hostesses greeted us at the door super friendly, loud environment open spaces create no sound proofing, ordered a lemonade and immediately it became aware that this place cuts corners, the lemonade had the artificial sweetener taste like from a package, so we ordered an appetizer which were deep fried green beans which again came from a big cardboard box with a plastic liner frozen since who knows how long, I ordered a Texas patty melt burger and my wife had a hickory bacon burger we ordered a large seasoned fries to split between us when our order came he tried to give me chicken fried steak with all the fixings, after relying to him my ordered he then came out with the correct burger, after the first bite once again my mind had an image of the cardboard box with plastic liner with burger patties stacked together with ice crystals, the burger tasted like a cheap Pattie you would buy in bulk at a supermarket, the fries were okay no seasoning like we were told they had a dusting of some type of flour coating then fried, overall it was bar food at best, the service was incredible great people, unfortunately the food didn't taste the same. read more

While my burger was good and very filling & my cheese tots were ok, definitely not worth the price. My wife had the breakfast plate with pancakes, sausage and eggs. (We came during brunch hours). She didn't like it at all. The wait staff was ok and a member of management stopped by the table. We didn't complain to them. In fairness, they were very busy and everyone was nice. It's fairly loud inside and family friendly. The prices are higher than I expected. My wife doesn't want to come back, but I might. Overall, it's pretty good and has a good vibe. Not very much value for your money here. The location and outdoor area is large and perfect if you have kids or just want to hang out and have a few drinks. They even offer a play area for the kiddos. The overall experience was lacking. Food really had no flavor, server was not enthusiastic at all and prices are a bit high. Kids meal was disappointment. $8 for 3 chicken strips and a fruit cup. My burger was below average and fries were not good either. read more

Me and my boyfriend had gone here today. We are visiting from washington state and heard this place was great. Maybe it was the location, maybe it wasn't. We had walked in and were greeted by the hostess who didn't seem like she wanted to be there. We were sitting down inside and waiting for about 10 minutes for our server to come to our table, when she passed by us she rolled her eyes because we were sat in her section. She was very short with us and did not have a good attitude at all. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was having a bad day. But throughout the whole interaction she made it seem like we were annoying her. Fast forward to us getting our food and it was very sloppy. It came out fast but neither of us felt like it was seasoned enough or made with care. I had gotten the chicken club and my boyfriend had gotten the mushroom Swiss burger. We ate our food and didn't complain because the waitress didn't seem to be in a great mood. After we got home, I felt sick to my stomach from the food that we had ate at this restaurant. I have had to run to the bathroom 5 different times today and I am still feeling sick from it at this very moment. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting town. Bad experience. My wife and I went to Jake's Benbrook for the first time. First, it didn't look clean inside. I was hesitant but was already there so I ordered a burger, well done. Grease was oozing out of the patties so much, it looked like someone had soaked the buns in water. The meat didn't even taste like real meat and it was kind of a Gray color, except for the raw pink inside. No fries came with the burger. I was so disgusted I swore that i would never eat there again. Hopefully if you decide to chance it you will have better luck than I did. read more

We had a great visit at Jake's for Mother's Day lunch. We sat in the "Backyard," which had a great turf-covered playground for the kids! Our server, Jacob, was very attentive and kind with all of our questions. The only downside to sitting in the yard area is you can't order from the full menu - but we all left satisfied and full always! There was no wait despite being a holiday and a Sunday afternoon. I stopped there this afternoon at 4:00 and sat at the bar. The waitress promptly took my drink order, which was simply unsweet iced tea. She asked me if I had any questions to which I replied 'No'. But before I could order food she walked away and started mixing drinks. I sat there another 20 minutes and not once did anyone behind the bar ask me if I wanted anything or was ready to order. Finally I got the attention of one of the persons behind the bar and asked her how much was the iced tea (because tea, coffee, and soft drinks are nowhere on the menu). She had to go ask someone else how much was iced tea. Finally she returned and said it was $3.24. I gave her a five. I took the $1.76 change, left the penny, and left. I won't be back. read more

We were so looking forward to eating here! We went on 4/14 at 4pm for an early dinner. Lots of people working. Not many customers. The hostess seated us (we asked to move because a ac vent was on us). She moved us and we sat...and sat...and sat. When the waitress at the table right next to us, brought food out for that table, she turned around, saw our menus closed and us sitting and waiting, and she just walked away. Came in with a large group and were turned away because of our party size after had already ordered multiple drinks and appetizers . What made it frustrating is we were totally willing to wait and work with them--split tables, take turns, whatever it took--but there was no effort to accommodate us at all. Just a flat-out "no." Fantastic experience from entrance to exit, with kind greeters at the door who seat you quickly and amazing servers like our waiter, Thomas, who was good with checking in on us and our orders, refilling our drinks, and a few jokes along the way to really top off an already amazing dining experience!! Aside from service the cooks in the back deserve some praise too!! This is my third time here and the food has been amazing every time! With no mistakes on any order and everything cooked and seasoned to perfection! Along with a backyard area to bring kiddos if you have any and a big screen to watch sports on, I believe they also have a special backyard menu . Tried the new Jake's on Benbrook Blvd. Our server Cammi was so delightful! She checked on us frequently, made good recommendations, brought our food quickly and made our time so enjoyable! I got a turkey burger that was juicy and good. My husband didn't care for his hamburger. It was too salty. My sweet potato fries were crispy and tasty but my husband didn't like his....small portion for the price, and not warm enough. Then... I had their churros with caramel filling and chocolate sauce! They opened not to long ago and people want to see what Jake's is all about! Wow this place is popular! My wife and I went there shortly after 5pm and immediately could see they were slammed. They have this large area out back that is a picnic and games setting that was put together really well. They gave a few massive screens showing some sports games on cable then they had live music. It was a local artist playing an electric guitar but it was folksy country music feel to it. I really enjoyed it actually. We waited a long time to get a table some parties larger than 4 waited a really long time. It was a stormy evening but by the looks of the crowd you wouldn't know it. The restaurant simply doesn't have enough tables inside but there are 2-tops outside by the bar and then there are tables out on the turf in the picnic/play area. Our waitress was Jen. She was so friendly and attentive to us. Given the crowd and our location we could have easily gotten lost in the shuffle. Jen did a great job and seems very personable. Our food came out in a decent amount of time and we both enjoyed our burgers. My wife had the Classic and I believe I had the double cheeseburger. The meat was delicious. It all was. The Coke was a perfect mixture of carbonation and syrup making it taste like a real deal Coke. It was a great time and Jen the waitress was great.
