Start to finish 5 stars. We didn't have one negative thing about our dinner experience tonight at all. Service 5 stars, food 5 stars and overall experience 5 stars. Don't listen to the haters. Go see for your self if you want true Tex Mex in a location you wouldn't expect. Can't WAIT to go back!!!!!!!

#4 lunch combo. Cheese enchilada with chili con carne, crispy taco, rice and beans.

Good place for some standard Mexican grub. I grabbed lunch here with a buddy of mine and ordered the #4 combination off the lunch menu. A cheese enchilada with chili con carne, beef taco, with rice and beans. Pretty tasty. Chili con carne sauce was great, taco shell what to have been fried in house as it tasted so fresh and crispy. Standard rice and beans on the side. It was served really fast, got our food within 4 minutes of ordering and served with a smile. Place has a cool, separate little bar area.

lf you're alone don't order the half pound bag of chips cuz I had no idea that was going to be a family size when I got that for takeout lol. And apparently both my entrees came with chips too because there were two smaller bags originally and smaller salsas. The quesadilla was really good-- just on the greasy side. The soup was also really flavorful, loved all the vegetables in it-- came with, again, way too many tortilla strips haha. The guac side portion was a bit small. The salsa was a little too spicy for me. I've been staying at the hotel around the corner for many visits, surprised I've never made it here! Will be back.

Been coming here for awhile. Falling in love with John Luke at the bar. Very attentive. My husband and I always share the pic 3 combo. Tamale, beef puffy taco & cheese enchilada. Delicious. Tonight we tried the queso, it was great as well.

Pulido's is back! With the Westland group resurrecting part of the franchise, we opted to stop in on a Saturday for lunch to check things out. Good news is, if you were wanting the Pulido's you grew up with, then this is it! With Covid, I realized I had taken too many staples and hallmarks of the local food scene for granted. The same places you frequented in your neighborhood time and time again and only in a blip they were suddenly gone. So it really is nice to see places like Pulido's being brought back. Just as expected, we were greeted with speedy service and some chips and salsa. The Wife and I both opted for a Pulido's hallmark, some puffy tacos. They were delicious. Even better was having restaurant ownership that actually cares about keeping places like Pulido's around, not just in name, but the old buildings as well. So we plan on making sure we continue to support ventures such as this to get more classic, simple, neighborhood Tex-Mex...and perhaps a margarita or two at the bar.

This place is in an odd location. Not that it's bad just wouldn't expect to see a Mexican place where it is. It's walking distance to my hotel so decided to give it a go. On the outside it looked dead. Man that was a rope a dope. Place was jumpin'. Lots of people and was a 30 minute wait. The host got me into the bar at a table so I could get in and get out. And here is where it went downhill. Ordered a guac to start and a lunch quesadilla. Simple. Quick. You'd think. I waited around 15 minutes for my guac, and probably 40 minutes total for my quesadilla. Then when they brought it out, they didn't bring the rice and beans until 5 minutes after. But by that point I was almost full from th chips and guac. They bar was in disarray, they missed food for some tables. Then got the orders wrong for others. Wrong things on the wrong check. Etc. Once I got my food it was okay, nothing to write home about but filled me up and I went to the hospital. I might try them again on an off time, because they just didn't handle the lunch rush well.

Disappointed for a couple of different reasons. - we wanted to sit outside on the patio and they sat us in a table that was filthy. Chips and rice everywhere on the ground under our feet when there were plenty of other table options near that were clean. Also major delays for getting our drinks and chip refills when it felt like we were the only people out there. - the food just sucked. It felt like everything that came to our table was cold and completely rid of seasoning. We ordered the blackened tilapia tacos and that was the best thing we had all night. The chicken enchiladas were a joke. We asked for the sour cream on the side and they decided to just bring out the chicken wrapped in the tortilla and that's it. Not really sure how they thought that would go... beans were cold and rice was meh. No cheese no vegetables nothing else. - I ordered a margarita with a double pour of tequila. Our server came back and said she was instructed by her manager that she can't do doubles and they would have to charge me for another drink and put the tequila in a shot glass instead of having the bartender mix it in. Never in my life have I had someone refuse to make a double. I was curious why this place was so dead on a Friday night but now it makes perfect sense. It's just not a good restaurant. Save your $$ and go eat somewhere else.

So since mom passed away, everything is pretty poor here! I mean food is still pretty tasty but the service, the expectations, the food presentations. They need a lot of work! The son of the owner is FREAKING LAZY!!!!!! Dad was working the kitchen today and he's in the front of the house being LAZY AS ALWAYS! If he's your server RUN AWAY and come back later or ask for better server. He's entitled. He NEVER EVER comes back to check on you. He avoids eye contact. He'll take your order and then sit down to play on his phone or watch TV. Then take food from the window throw it in your table and never come back. Sit back down to be on his phone. There are 2 servers that are very very good, tall white guy and one lady but the rest are TRASH!!! So if you are looking for great food but can overlook the service this is the place but sometimes even the tasty food can't overcompensate the service. We might not comeback for a bit. Oh and we also saw the son today took our server tip from our table and put it in his pocket! And he didn't clean our table at all. He just pass our table, pocket the $7 and left. And he did not even wait on us at all today! I hope that girl got her tip back! So that was the turning point for us for a while. Watch out for him when you leave cash tip for your server.

While waiting for our appetizer, we enjoyed the chips and salsa. I especially LOVE Chuy's Cilantro Jalapeño dip. It's addictive and so delicious. When Soni brought the Sampler plate to our table our eyes got as big as dinner plates. The platter was huge and there was enough to share with 4 people not just 2 who weren't too hungry. If we'd been going home, we could have taken a to-go box, but we had another engagement. The platter had quesadillas, flautas, nachos, guacamole, queso, pico and jalapeños, 4 of each. Oh my.
