Can I just say I downloaded yelp today just for this restaurant. We went here for Father's Day the Sunday that past, and we were a family of 18, so you can imagine how stressful that would be for a waiter. Except our waiter was wonder and took the time to make sure our order was perfect. Even when our food was a little late he made sure to keep checking on us and letting us know it would be out soon. We had never been to this restaurant before so we were nervous that the food would be bad but we were so wrong. Our food started to come one after the other and it was delicious! I even asked my family members to see if the enjoyed theirs as well and they said they loved it. I also just want to add that that aesthetic of the restaurant is so beautiful and neatly on theme! We came here about a year after opening. When they opened you couldn't get a table easily. We walked in a couple weeks ago with no issue. My partner liked the music, but it was too loud. People may want to talk without yelling. Why do restaurants do this? The wings and burger were good. We'll try it again. read more

The place is newly renovated a couple years ago. Great atmosphere. Sat in a table by the windows to watch the cars drive by on Jefferson. If you crane your neck just right you can see the lake. It is like when you are going to Mexico and they say the room has an ocean view. Lol. Thank God that is not the reason we came here. My Bloody Mary was great and the Riesling was Grand Traverse late harvest. Very tasty. And we haven't even got to the food. The white fish amazing and the mashed potatoes were hot. Which I love. It is hard to find mashed potatoes hot at most restaurants. The dessert that I had was just ok. Homemade blueberry cobbler. Not enough fruit. More ice cream than cobbler. But, the white chocolate profiteroles were amazing. Service was ok, not very attentive. But, very nice. I do appreciate nice over efficient if I can't have both. My new favorite restaurant. Food is mediocre at best. Had baby back ribs and I'm pretty sure two were actual back ribs and 2 were spare ribs that you could barely chew. Inside is nice and has a nice ambiance to it but that was the only good thing about this place. Overall I probably won't be back but if you decide to try it stay away from the ribs! read more

I have eaten here several times. There service is always great. Every meal has been very good. I sometimes worry about getting nicer meals at a bar style restaurants but they are doing a great job. Very very loud. I left with a headache every time I went there to eat. We even went at various times and days. Then to make it worse they have a guitar player playing extremely loud. Had to talk very loud above the music to people at our table. Not enjoyable at all. We know of many people who have gone to this restaurant and said the same thing. Lunch time was the best time to go without so much noise from people talking loud because music was loud. Food was very good every time we went. It came out fast to the table as well. Every meal we've had was delicious. Service was ok but friendly. I've had better. Too loud again to hear what the waiter was saying. I'm sure he wasn't too thrilled with the loudness himself. Our meal was delicious. My husband had a burger and I had the fish dinner. The portions were substantial and very appetizing. Our server was very professional and personable. He made our first visit a great experience. We will definitely be going back to try other menu selections. read more

Went there a few days after they opened. There was a short 10 minute wait for a table which wasn't bad the waitress was was quickly at our table to take our drink order. I then ordered one of their signature burger which was delicious. The service was fantastic and the prices were not bad read more

My Wife and I walked in the night before Thanksgiving, packed to the gills. Found a couple who were leaving and they offered us their seats. Waited for the barmaid to recognize us, but she decided to wait on the "loud, already over served" couple who tried to steal our seats before we could sit in them. Finally a different, more experience barmaid took our order, before I wanted to walk out. We shall see. My wife spent 17 years working at the Goose, so I knew it was meaningful to her to check it out. read more

Maybe I should give them a break, because it was St. Patrick's weekend not working the day. Anyway, service was alright, friendly enough. Food not so good. 7 people 2 got fish no problem, 5 got burgers. Not one of them was cooked right. The person who delivered the food wasn't the waitress. I said I don't think this is mine. She said it's right so I said alright. Well it wasn't mine. Mine someone else was eating. We switched, but everyone said how bad they were. It was crowded like I said, nice new inside. The service was just okay. Honestly i got a chicken sandwhich, their menu is pretty small. the chicken sandwhich was just glorified mcdonald's, and their fries seem frozen. Nothing special, been waiting to come here for months, as they are always packed. Got the steak bites as well, but it was more of a roast with gravy, which i wasn't happy with.
