Another great place to eat in Vacaville. I feel spoiled with how many great food options we have. Blue House is absolutely worth checking out. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere or a fun date spot, I highly recommend it. The food is exactly what you'd hope for. Steak, beef, chicken, plenty of vegetables... they've got it all. Ordering from the tablet at your table is a fun touch, and having a robot deliver the food an experience. The bulgogi and thin-sliced pork are must-orders. The bibimbap was delicious, the cheese corn was rich and cheesy, and I really enjoyed the takoyaki. Just be careful, it's basically molten lava on the inside. Come hungry. It's all-you-can-eat KBBQ, but they'll charge you for excessive leftovers, so order what you'll eat, pace yourself, and enjoy the experience.

WORST KBBQ EVER. Staff was friendly, but extremely slow and not attentive. We had to follow up on each of our orders due to either receiving the wrong item or never getting the order altogether, causing us to wait constantly. The burner also shut off 3 different times, one time by our waiter but other times randomly which added to more wasted time. Out of the 2 hour time limit, Id estimate less than half that time was actually dedicated to eating. We were waiting & following up for majority of the dinner. The food was below subpar quality. My family couldnt eat the "premium beef" it "angus brisket" because it was so dry/tough. Seafood tofu soup lacked flavor and steamed egg was watery. The list goes on but most of the items were gross. I hardly ate because nothing tasted good. The most consistent item was the sliced garlic. Lastly, they shouldve installed directly fans above each table but they have the fans high in the ceiling, making the air smoky and the place extra loud. Heavily disappointed as I heard good things about this chain. Save your money and go anywhere else.

We celebrated an early Mother's Day at this welcoming, Korean BBQ and had a wonderful experience! Upon arrival to the spacious parking lot, we could smell the delicious meats immediately, beckoning us to come inside... We went with the Option A all-you-can-eat, which seemed to have more than enough selections of meat to gorge upon. Our favorite was the thin cut pork belly. The restaurant was expansive with lots of tables and different seating areas. Our servers were also great, changing our grill frequently. Overall, a solid AYCE location, and we would be glad to come back!

I've been to other locations for blue house before and always enjoyed my visits. This Vacaville location is a first visit for me and it's roomier and better airflow I felt. The server was really great sorry I wasn't ordering much my table mates did that and I didn't get her name but she was great. The food we always enjoy the garlic soy beef belly, boneless Galbi, and a bunch of other selections. We usually stick with beef but we do like their banchan selections. Spicy ramen is pretty common ramen but the way they cooked it was solid, some people put way too much water to cook. The potato is great, the pickled daikon is a must and broccoli is a solid choice too. The server gave us a bunch of refilled for these. The only drawback this time for me was the chicken wings. Plain really meant plain, no salt or any flavorings. The wings weren't freshly fried so they were rubbery and room temp. I think fresh with some Cajun seasoning maybe would be a hit . If I'm in Vacaville and craving Korean bbq I'd for sure revisit.

We came here for dinner and had a great experience. The restaurant is very spacious, with dedicated areas for karaoke and larger group gatherings. During dinner service, Option A offers an excellent selection of appetizers and meats. Our favorites were the soy garlic beef belly, butter shrimp, and LA galbi--we ended up ordering those every round. The spicy Korean ramen was also tasty. The service was outstanding as well. Everything we ordered arrived promptly, and our server was friendly, attentive, and happy to accommodate additional requests throughout the meal. Overall, it was a good dining experience, and we'd definitely come back if we were in the area and want bbq.

Had dinner here last night. The restaurant is super spacious with an abundance of seating! Booths and tables everywhere it's actually pretty neat and esthetic looking. It's an ayce Korean bbq. I love that concept lol. There were an array of bonchon they start you with and then you pick the menu you would like to dine. We picked the A menu.. it included a lot of good stuff. Service was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive. She made sure that when our orders came out to come check and place the next order right away and our grill was constantly replaced as it would char up. Everything I ate was delicious. My fav meat was the soy garlic beef belly and I love the butter shrimp .. all dipped in their pineapple sauce they have on the menu as well. Overall I would definitely be back when craving Korean bbq

Nicholas was wonderful! Fast, friendly service and very professional. He made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Food was delicious as well. Love the prime boneless short rib he recommended Love this place!!

Extremely disappointing experience. We waited not so long for seated and once at the table, items from our order kept missing. When I directly asked the manager about our missing corn cheese, she just muttered something into her mic and walked away without addressing us or fixing the issue. Terrible service and nonexistent customer care from management. Save your time and eat somewhere else.

Beautiful place! It was our first time here. The outside looks a bit deceiving, but once your inside it's very warm and welcoming by the hostess. We were a party of 7 with a 3:30pm reservation on a Saturday. Surprisingly for a Saturday, it wasn't busy. We were immediately taken to our seats that had 2 burners and as a party, we ordered the A & B option. The table comes set with 4 sides like pickled daikon, kimchi, and I can't remember what the other 2 were. Everything, the kalbi, different cuts of the meats, tiger prawns, were absolutely delicious!! The appetizers: wings, sliders, fries, and so much more were all great and everything came out in a timely manner. Our hostess was awesome which made the experience amazing!! Definitely worth every buck and we'll be back!!!

We did it, and completed the trifecta. We got to visit all three of the Blue House locations. Pre-completion of the renovation of the OG location, so this one is easily the most modern and nicest of the three so far. More open feeling setting, and some cool features like the karaoke room for reservation and elevated middle section. Blue House did a good job with the design. I enjoyed the vibes, and the staff really was great. Constantly checking in, making sure we were good or ready for a next round, and more made this experience great. Blue House tasted solid, and I would absolutely make a return trip if wanting KBBQ in Vacaville.

We were the first to walk in as a we are a party of 4. We put our name on the waitlist but we took a seat at the bar while we waited for the rest of our party. We were greeted with a how are you and is there anything I can get you while you wait. Our bartender was friendly attended to us right away......a plus in my book. We declined and just waited for the rest of our party. When they finally arrived, we prolly waited all of 3-5 minutes, which was quite quick to me. Our friends have been here before so they walked us thru it. We order option A with 2 appetizers. I loved they had helper robot waiters to bring some of our meats. We got spicy beef and kolbi beef with the bulgogi sliders, beef dumplings, & spicy Korean wings. Everything was excellent. There was no bad food at all and our server was friendly, attentive, and always checking on us. We ordered Cass beer that can be split into 2, it was that big. My friend ordered an old fashioned which he thought was ok (the only negative in this review). He ordered the Cass beer and enjoyed that more. As we left, our waiter and staff all said goodbye and went home to have the meat sweats and go into a food coma. Thank you for an awesome dinner and our friends for introducing us to a fabulous restaurant.

Just okay. Came here on a kids eat free day. I got the AB combo. Was barely checked on. Asked for the ice cream for my son and I. 20 mins later. Still didn't come. I informed the waitress. Waitress came by making a ton of excuses why it didn't come. Then comes out with only one ice scream. I informed I ordered 2. She then proceeds to say I only told her one then starts making more excuses. She checks her pos system oh it was 2 and doesn't even apologize for being wrong. And just blames the kitchen. I understand things get backed up. But you need check on your tables and take accountability. And apologize when you are wrong. I also ordered a club soda. Which is completely. She put I ordered a sprite. For all that knows me I don't drink sprite. I informed her. She said they all cost the same. Which is a lie. At this point I was fed up and wanted to leave

This is usually my favorite restaurant...so I'm really disappointed. Came here 4th of July Party of 2. There was maybe 3 other tables dining in our section. Our waiter Soren, took our order one time, the first time he greeted us. All the other times we wanted food, we had to catch him walking by us. Oh- and every time we ordered it took him about 15 minutes to bring it. Mind you, the place was EMPTY. I rang the service button about three times for him...he never came. Saw him in the back using his phone plenty though! When another table left, he told them "have a good night"! When he just randomly bought us the bill without asking if we were finished he forgot to add our military discount of course. On the way out, he didn't even look at us. I typically love this restaurant and all the waiters and buskers positive attitude. Really disappointed in Soren. I wish I could've spoke to management.

We had different servers who attended to us and they're both friendly and looked cheerful. We got there towards the end of Happy Hour and was presented with their Happy Hour menu. The menu is small, easy to read and has almost everything we'd want for that time of day - including the drinks. The food is a 'hit' or 'miss'. Here's my review: Drinks: Both the Arnold Palmer and the Cadillac Margarita were good. My lemonade tea wasn't overly sweet and I could definitely taste the lemonade. The pitcher of Cadillac Margarita looks innocent but may give someone a slow and powerful buzz if you're not used to the drink. (4.75 of 5) Charcuterie: This a complete appetizer board. Overall, there were some hits and misses, however, we agreed this is a well thought out appetizer board. (4 of 5) Crispy Brussels Sprouts: This is the best dish here, featuring deeply caramelized, dark golden-brown edges and a nutty, earthy flavor. Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts is also the best we've had. The seasoning is on-point, allowing the texture to show off its crackling, crunchy bite on the outside, contrasted by a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. (5 of 5) Seasonal Tacos: "Oh WOW!" The explosion of spicy and tangy flavours balanced by contrasting textures makes this dish "pop". (4.75 of 5) Beet Salad: The colours were lovely, but this beet salad was over-salted. The vibrant dish featuring beets as the main ingredient, balances the earthy sweetness with contrasting textures and flavours. If this wasn't too salty, it would have been more refreshing. (3.75 of 5) Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse (halibut, jasmine rice, spinach, snap pea, pickled shiitake mushroom, coconut lime broth, basil oil): Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bouillabaisse means seafood. The only seafood we noticed were chunks of halibut, which were delicious. This dish looks and tastes more like an elevated Thai soup dish that cost too much. (3.5 of 5) After walking in, we decided to sit outdoors because of the loud music that was playing. We're glad we did. The overhang on the veranda was well positioned with plants and flowers softening the cement walkway. The weather was pleasant - with a gentle breeze blowing down the corridor. Parking is easy if you arrive early enough. One last note: Back Door Bistro in Vacaville was featured on "Check, Please! Bay Area"

Very solid, authentic Indian food. Came here from a referral from my coworker who is from India and…read moresaid they have great Indian food here for being in the US. She's not wrong! All of our dishes were super fresh, full of flavor, and had a very good portion of meat. The entrees come by themselves but they are big enough to split with a second person. You definitely need to get a side or two of rice and an order of garlic naan (or two or three iykyk). The naan was my favorite item of the meal, so soft, pillowy, and chewy. Absolutely delicious. We were seated immediately, which I always appreciate. The space is pretty big with a modern feel, and there's plenty of parking out front (no circling the lot like a hawk -- love that). Even though they gave us the lunch menu, we went à la carte. Ordered: tandoori chicken, butter chicken, coconut shrimp, butter naan, and rice -- all medium spice where applicable. The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Staff was kind, checked in on us without hovering, and kept our water filled without us needing to flag anyone down. Overall -- easy, enjoyable lunch. Good food, good service, no complaints. I'd definitely come back.

"Princess" Christina here to edit her review!…read more I wanted to edit my review to explain sort of what was originally posted trying to make it short. First before being seated we were approached by a female server who was angry we were seated at her table to enjoy waters before being taken downstairs to the show. She told us we're r not allowed to sit there even though the host placed us there. A whole thing... we moved for her. I was there for my birthday, husband Venmo 20$ to play two songs and do a shout out ( owner attacks me in my original review insinuating that I am an entitled princess demanding a happy bday song ( which I didn't request) and that we stormed out after an hour. We stayed till almost 10:30 show ends at 11. We asked for 2 songs that were fun classics everyone could sing along to since the playing of "wet a** P***y" wasn't exactly bumping in the club and just made the establishment even more grimy than it already was! We got outbid, not knowing exactly how dueling piano bars r ran. Now we do and we will never go back. We just wanted a shout out which coulda been said in 2 seconds... is that why you got a 1 star? No. The food was also extremely gross. Only dish with eating was the pasta. What salad comes with no lettuce lol? Weird whatever? I didn't order it. My original review complemented some of the songs and some other things but it was also pointing out the crappy parts like asking for more money mid song. I hate places that seem like they r begging for money. It's just not my vibe. And while this place is "ALWAYS sold out" how many are return customers!? And why are the restaurants reviews at 2 stars? Because it's a 1 star establishment. I have never had two reviews deleted before so yes... my bad... I take full accountability that I ASSUMED your establishment had anything to do with a removed review and it didn't. But i did not delete it myself. Jason m the pianist had asked at one point for me to remove it and I said I would not but I understand the concern. He then brought up health issues and played on my empathy and my love for God then came back and told me how I was rude and how Jesus was not always nice so he justified Jason and himself don't have to be nice to me. My review was unfortunately taken personally by these two men...when I did not say anything personal. The owner though... got personal with me over my expression of why this place was a 1 star ( for me ) and silently attacked my character. Thank the lord for my husband. M. C. Who came to bat like a pro for me. I didn't even ask him to, but he mentioned my military career and other services to this country that in otherworldly do not take the title of "princess". ESPECIALLY the paths I have gone down! I hope this and his review make you think twice about how you speak to people before getting upset over a 1 star review! It's the internet I wasn't being a bully I was explaining so other who read are aware of what they r stepping into. A 1 star bar and restaurant venue who ask for a lot of money don't treat their customers with much respect in person and over the internet... and don't reimburse people for items they don't receive or accidentally got charged for. It's not hard to DO the right thing. And "being a good person" doesn't mean I have to delete a review for your bar. I am a good person. I'd like to say proudly... a bit better of a person than you Jason. I wish you luck! My first review below: edited review above My review was deleted don't know why. Who whole establishment was a rip off. And having my review deleted makes this so much worse off and corrupt. Very interesting. I understand piano bars r based off tips... but this was gross and like begging for more money every song that played. My request was never played.. while I was there... and ( they reached out o tell me they eventually did) (By the way other ppl reviews they were reimbursed for not playing their song but mine wasn't) While some songs were fun... the music selection was truly trash... I won't go back and I'll never reccomend. No one at my table would ever go back. The food was horrid old dry and gross tasting also.

They really take pride in its history, and I love that they share these interesting tidbits with visitors. The "reservations only" rule here is kind of odd, especially cuz this place doesn't seem to really get packed, even on a Saturday night. But it worked out for us, cuz my large group was able to enjoy our time together without huge, crazy, crowds like you get in SF, Vegas, or even Texas dueling piano venues. And it was still lively enough around 10-11pm. They even provided fun props at the tables for guests (tambourines and fedoras!). You can order food and drinks down here from the restaurant menu, but of course, just like the restaurant, beware they may be out of items. I enjoyed some of the molten lava cake for dessert. They were out of vanilla ice cream, but a scoop of the strawberry flavor was more to my liking anyway. And of course, just like at the restaurant upstairs, I absolutely loved the drink offerings here... so many tasty concoctions, especially if you like fruity cocktails. We requested a bunch of songs throughout the night, and they played most of them. They were honest about what they didn't know or tried to learn it on the spot (says my musician bf), so I appreciate the effort. Be sure to tip for the awesome range of songs they play for the crowd (mainly rock, rnb, pop, and country). The two pianists (and one drummer) were fun and friendly, and did their best to keep the slowly shrinking crowd entertained. I've never seen a dueling piano bar empty before closing time, especially when closing time is early for a Saturday, but the entire place was deserted by 11:45pm... except my group, of course, which stayed for the last 15 minutes. Compared to other venues I've been to, it wasn't as lively a crowd here at Makse, yet it was kinda what I'd expect in Vacaville... or as my bf calls it, Vodkaville :D

Crispy chicken fried rice - 10/10, chicken was juicy and super crispy, paired with two different sauces (1) some sort of creamy mayo aioli (2) sweet chili sauce; i personally preferred the sweet chili sauce. The rice itself was subtle, with a slight soy sauce flavor; definitely allowed the chicken to shine. Thai iced tea - 8/10, good thai tea. not too sweet, stronger on the tea side. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. The restaurant is decent in size (has both outside and indoor seating), and had a modern, clean look. Overall, food was delicious and would definitely come back. (extra note: the menu has some interesting items that I'm looking forward to trying, definitely unique in comparison to other thai restaurants)

The food was decent and edible but I wasn't particularly impressed. Their drinks were also not that great or their water was so bad I couldn't drink it. Service was adequate. They served us but there was some confusion about them "missing items" but were somehow not able to accommodate for it? It was strange. Overall, it was okay. Try at your own expense.
