Rather than assume who was at fault, I called the restaurant to see if my driver had possibly left a bag behind. Neil, who is part owner, immediately looked into it. Within 5 minutes, he reviewed their camera footage and confirmed my driver had been handed THREE bags but I only received one. Mystery solved. Definitely a DoorDash driver issue, NOT Ayemi's. But here's what really got me: even though it wasn't their mistake, Neil offered to REMAKE my missing rolls and PERSONALLY deliver them to me. And I live far enough away that DoorDash charges me a long-distance fee! I declined because DoorDash had already refunded the missing items, and I wasn't about to double dip or make Neil drive all that way for something that wasn't his fault. But THAT is customer service. As for the food: Ayemi's has become one of my go-to spots. Their sushi rolls are JUMBO for the price of regular rolls, ingredients are fresh, everything is tasty, and my son loves their poke bowls.
