I was there two weeks ago having lunch with my friends. Still delicious and very tasty sushi. I know this people since Davis.. and this Fuji it's always the best place to enjoy eating yummy sushi. and all the workers is extremely excellent service. Fuji is my number sushi restaurant. Vacaville you guys should be proud of your service. thanks so much. until next time see you

Just me and Mom this time. On a very chilly Saturday, we drove to Vacaville to destroy some sushi. It was all about shock & awe. The good folks at Fuji Sushi sat us immediately upon entering the restaurant seeing we were there on a mission. As always we ordered some tempura, Hamachi collar and grilled chicken. Then it was time to attack the conveyor belt of plates of sushi and spicy seaweed. Everything was fantastic as always. We spent the next hour clearing our plates and trying to do it without scaring the children in the place. I thought I was successful as I pushed two pieces of shrimp tempura in my mouth, but then noticed a little girl was looking at me and was crying. Anyway, FSB remains the family's go-to sushi restaurant in Vacaville. And now, for the pics.

Stopped by on a weekday lunch and there was no wait and plenty of available seating. We asked to sit at the counter for the convenience of the conveyer belt and ordering the specials. Started off with miso soup and grilled salmon as appetizers. Most of the basic sushi rolls and salad were on the conveyer belt whereas special rolls/plates, sashimi, and hot items were made to order. Fish quality of the sashimi platter was pretty decent today. I know it can be a hit or miss. The special plates consisted of sashimi topped with jalapeño and their house dressing of mayo and sriracha. The special rolls were average, a little repetitive tasting after a few rounds. The dessert items they offered were either fried banana, fried sesame ball or oranges. Wish they had some ice cream or more fruits Overall, $23 is a great price for AYCE lunch (until 2pm) but I'd skip coming for dinner since it's just the same items at a higher price. I'd imagine the wait for the made to order sushi would also take a lot longer if we came at the busy peak meal times.

Make sure you get a good spot. We unfortunately did not. Some sushi was good. Not as fresh. Hit or miss. But what do you expect when there's a conveyer belt involved. You're basically playing roulette. The spicy octopus was surprisingly delicious. Not the nicest atmosphere place but the chefs were very kind. The waiter on the other hand was very short. We got our bill 20 minutes into being there. We felt rushed. Mind you, we came from out of town for a football tournament. We just wanted a nice, slow dinner. Probably won't visit again. But I like to try everything once. (:

This place a small but you can make reservations. We have been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. It's all You can eat the waitress takes your order for drinks and apps, for sushi you walk to the conveyor belt and grab what you want, but if you want to order specific sushi/hand-roll the line can get busy. The price is worth it.

Good bang for your buck, especially for weekday lunch! I came here with my friend at 1pm on a weekday. No line. Fast service. Good food, just like usual. I was kind of surprised they cleared everything at 1:55pm. They were not kidding that lunch service was only until 2pm! Even though we only had one hour to eat, I was more than satisfied with my meal here. The hand rolls have a little bit more rice than I would like, but they were delicious! The wait staff and sushi chefs were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend!

    Anny O.

Pretty good for AYCE sushi. Not a lot of options and everything seemed pretty repetitive after a few rounds. But overall fish quality was pretty good. We enjoyed the soft shell fried crab. You can order the sushi fresh or take it off the conveyor belt. Made a reservation ahead of time. They were pretty busy on a weekend lunch time

The sushi was great and refreshing! My favorite things were the cucumbers, miso soup, CA rolls and tuna. The service was great and fast.

I'm not sure if we went on a bad day but I thought it was just ok. Our aunts love this place so they took us here to treat us. First impression, we thought it was really cool with the rotating belt just like the revolving sushi spots in SD & LV. However my kids & I thought the salmon sashimi was really fishy. The quality of the raw items that day didn't taste so fresh. And the fried banana dessert that day was way overripe & was just mushy. I did however enjoyed the grilled yellow tail collar & the red bean sesame balls. The place was packed for lunch but our large party was seated right away. And the servers were great. Probably not a spot my family & I would go to again when we come back to visit. But the in-laws do love this place & will continue to come. :)

Sushi was fresh and tons of it. Server was very nice and polite. It's a little loud but you can still carry a conversation.

Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Portion to Price: 5/5 Overall: Can't go wrong with all you can eat sushi! I'll be back. The extended review... Food: 4/5 - Lots of good options to choose from. It was a good variety and I especially loved that they had sesame balls for dessert! Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3/5 - This place gets packed so be sure to get there early and also you may need to wait for what you want since people can be vultures. Portion to Price: 5/5 - All you can eat...LOVE IT!

First time back since the pandemic. My friend and I did the lunch buffet. I got there about an hour before they close and the staff was so nice. Their policy states no seating until your whole party is present and my friend had not arrived yet. The host gave me a table before my friend got there and let me know there's an hour before they close if I wanted to stay. The service was great. I got to order drinks and food right when I sat down. I went up to the sushi counter and got my sushi quickly. The variety was good. I had jelly fish salad, hand rolls, tempura, lots of sushimi, sushi rolls and dessert. Everything was fresh. The tempura was hot and crispy. We ate so much in that hour. Definitely a must try if you like sushi.

How busy is lunch buffet on Monday ? How long is the wait normally?

Not so busy, can be seated without too long wait

Other than the price, what is the difference between the lunch and dinner/weekend menus?

None, it's just the price, so go at lunch.

Do they have honor any birthday discounts?

    No discounts.

    What's price for dinner?

$27.99 last time I checked. Worth every penny for AYCE sushi that is high end restaurant quality. Be prepared to wait unless your there when it opens. Yelp waitlist available.

    Are dogs allowed?

No, not at all, unless service dog with certificate.

Are you open on Memorial Day?

    Yes from 5-8.

Would you please allow us to get on the waitlist from Fairfield?

Hi Mary, unfortunately they're really strict on their GPS radius for adding your name to the waitlist. It's not reliable either because sometimes it's just not available even if they're not busy lol. From what I tested on the road, when it's under…

Can you sit at the bar now?

    Yes

All you can eat is back. Wait times have been super long. Only one person per table can go up to get food at a time. Otherwise everything else is the same. Enjoy!

    Yes.

Need to know price for dinner per person?

One person having AYCE is completely fine. I've sat at the bar by myself before and it wasn't a problem. :)

The beef is a decent quality steak unlike other restaurants that use cheaper cuts of beef. Teriyaki sauce has good flavor and is not too salty or too sweet. The restaurant is incredibly clean--seriously, clean, clean, clean--and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The servers are attentive, very nice, and friendly, which makes the experience even better. Seating is somewhat limited, but they do a great job accommodating everyone. I also noticed a lot of customers coming in for pick-up orders, which says a lot about how popular this place is. The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous--you definitely get plenty for your order. They specialize in dim sum and are especially known for their soup dumplings (xiao long bao), including the popular Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao. Other favorites include their pan-fried buns, BBQ pork buns, beef rolls, wontons in chili oil, and noodle dishes. Everything is flavorful and satisfying. The location is also super convenient--right across from HomeGoods. If you find yourself hungry after a hectic shopping trip (like I was!), BaoBao is definitely the place to go. Great food, friendly service, and a clean, welcoming environment make it a spot worth visiting. Doris S.
