Our party of 4 came for dinner on a 3 day weekend Monday and it was pretty crowded inside. We put our name down at around 5:30 pm and it was about a 30 minute wait for a table to become available. The setup was pretty interesting with tables on the side and a conveyor belt with the center where the chefs are working and seating lined around that. The staff were kind and helpful in explaining how it all worked being that it was all you can eat. First, there is a menu where you can place orders with the staff for things like appetizers and drinks. We got some sodas and ordered items such as edamame, miso soup and grilled salmon teriyaki. Then in the center where the conveyor belt is, you can walk around to it and pick up plates that you want to try. It mostly seemed like nigiri and rolls that they were commonly making. In the center, the chef station is between the conveyor belt area and there you can order more specific items you want to try like a roll, sashimi or handrolls. We chose to order some different sashimi like salmon and yellowtail and handrolls like the spider and alaska. They also make a bunch of extra dishes that you can take off the shelf as well. Just me and Mom this time. On a very chilly Saturday, we drove to Vacaville to destroy some sushi. It was all about shock & awe. The good folks at Fuji Sushi sat us immediately upon entering the restaurant seeing we were there on a mission. As always we ordered some tempura, Hamachi collar and grilled chicken. Then it was time to attack the conveyor belt of plates of sushi and spicy seaweed. Everything was fantastic as always. We spent the next hour clearing our plates and trying to do it without scaring the children in the place. I thought I was successful as I pushed two pieces of shrimp tempura in my mouth, but then noticed a little girl was looking at me and was crying. Stopped by on a weekday lunch and there was no wait and plenty of available seating. We asked to sit at the counter for the convenience of the conveyer belt and ordering the specials. Started off with miso soup and grilled salmon as appetizers. Most of the basic sushi rolls and salad were on the conveyer belt whereas special rolls/plates, sashimi, and hot items were made to order. Fish quality of the sashimi platter was pretty decent today. I know it can be a hit or miss. The special plates consisted of sashimi topped with jalapeño and their house dressing of mayo and sriracha. The special rolls were average, a little repetitive tasting after a few rounds. The dessert items they offered were either fried banana, fried sesame ball or oranges. Wish they had some ice cream or more fruits Overall, $23 is a great price for AYCE lunch (until 2pm) but I'd skip coming for dinner since it's just the same items at a higher price. Make sure you get a good spot. We unfortunately did not. Some sushi was good. Not as fresh. Hit or miss. But what do you expect when there's a conveyer belt involved. Good bang for your buck, especially for weekday lunch! I came here with my friend at 1pm on a weekday. No line. Fast service. Good food, just like usual. I was kind of surprised they cleared everything at 1:55pm. They were not kidding that lunch service was only until 2pm! Even though we only had one hour to eat, I was more than satisfied with my meal here. The hand rolls have a little bit more rice than I would like, but they were delicious! I'm not sure if we went on a bad day but I thought it was just ok. Our aunts love this place so they took us here to treat us. First impression, we thought it was really cool with the rotating belt just like the revolving sushi spots in SD & LV. However my kids & I thought the salmon sashimi was really fishy. The quality of the raw items that day didn't taste so fresh. And the fried banana dessert that day was way overripe & was just mushy. I did however enjoyed the grilled yellow tail collar & the red bean sesame balls. The place was packed for lunch but our large party was seated right away. And the servers were great. First time back since the pandemic. My friend and I did the lunch buffet. I got there about an hour before they close and the staff was so nice. Their policy states no seating until your whole party is present and my friend had not arrived yet. The host gave me a table before my friend got there and let me know there's an hour before they close if I wanted to stay. The service was great. I got to order drinks and food right when I sat down. I went up to the sushi counter and got my sushi quickly. The variety was good. I had jelly fish salad, hand rolls, tempura, lots of sushimi, sushi rolls and dessert. Everything was fresh. You get seated and then there is a rotisserie that carries the sushi and the seaweed salads etc. You order in the middle and the chefs are great and very fast. We arrived at around 6pm, added our name to the waitlist, and were seated within about 20 minutes. The waiter greeted us quickly and checked on us often. Hubs and dad love their fried oysters and soft shell crab - both served piping hot and crispy. They ordered these a few times. Love that they have saba sashimi. The handrolls are another fave. Mom doesn't usually eat the raw stuff, so she enjoyed the unagi and hamachi kama. Given prices of sushi currently, we were happy with the price of the buffet. The chefs get custom orders done so quick that a line barely forms even on busy days. They regularly supply the chef's counter and sushi belt, occasionally switching it up so it never gets boring during your meal! They also have a wide selection of items, with my personal favorite being the large assorted/combo sashimi plate! Their sashimi tastes fresh, and their food is quite consistent overall; I would know since I'm a regular customer! I like this place, my wife and I were in the area doing some shopping so we thought we'd try it out. They have a Yelp Waitlist if it's busy, fortunately we got seated right away. They have a revolving sushi bar, and an area where you can grab items but you can also order sushi directly from the sushi chefs. I ordered Salmon, Tuna and Octopus sashimi and they gave us a good amount which tasted pretty fresh. We also ordered some appetizers from our table including some tempura and soft shell crab which was good. There was a hamachi kama delivered to our table by mistake, but it was good. It was decently busy, but the staff were responsive. Drinks aren't included but it was good to have a soda with free refills. If I had went with some of my relatives, they would have lectured me about maximizing values to get our money worth, so limit rice and don't have soup, but I think we did a good job and enjoyed ourselves. read more

Our kids really wanted AYCE as this is the place we used to come pre-pandemic after our ski trip. So we decided to go in since we do eat fast. The server and sushi chef were quick to take our order and all of a sudden , our table was full of food!! All the cooked food was very good! The sushi rolls were good too . The sashimi was a bit thin but that's how AYCE standard. They were already cleaning up around 8:25pm and we were last to leave.
