I'm not basing my entire review on a holiday week--but seriously, avoid it at all costs during that time. My second visit was much better. I stopped in after a nearby doctor's appointment a little after 9 a.m., and it was night and day. Easy parking, hardly any people, and I could actually take my time reading labels and seeing what was available. Big win. The store was clean, organized, and well stocked, and the staff was friendly as usual. However, I noticed less organic produce than I remembered from previous locations. There's a decent selection of healthier foods, but also a large amount of packaged, ultra-processed options. Gluten-free choices were very limited--I couldn't even find gluten-free crackers. My younger self would've loved shopping here. Middle-aged me, with food allergies and sensitivities, shops more carefully now. Even so, I'll still be back. I usually attend the Saturday market, but have stopped by on a Friday during a lunch break and it's a great option with a handful of ready to go food vendors as well as your standard farmer market produce, honey, bread, etc. type of vendors. This market also incorporates a fair number of artists and pet vendors with things like garden decor and plants, pet collars and treats, and jewelry. It fits quite a good variety but you also can still navigate it quite easily and in a timely manner too if you do stop by on a lunch break or time crunch.

My comments have been a BLOODBATH with people requesting I try the Publix Mojo tissi. I made enough money off the tiktok creator fund to afford a flight to Tampa and back, so I thought I should reinvest it in my own business. I got off the plane and called an Uber straight to Publix. I got there and they only had 1 Mojo flavored tissi left. I felt like that was God winking at me, saving this bird just for me and rewarding my hard work. When you work hard, he throws you a bone sometimes. I got the bird and took it down to the water, and began tearing into it. On the first bite of the breast, I completely understood the hype. Tender, flavorful, great skin, etc. The leg followed suit, and this was truly an elite bird. I sat there in the Florida sun, seagulls circling me like vultures, appreciating life and the calm Tampa energy. It was a beautiful little moment, idk. I love Tampa. She came around the corner and pointed out exactly what I was looking for. I didn't wanna wait in line for the deli so she told me about the BOAR'S head, hams, turkeys chicken deli meat, salami, delicious stroll along the fresh market area, grab some fresh red onion, and tomatoes and when I got to the meat, that's where I saved I've never been disappointed. They had a sale on ribeye steak boneless or bone in. I bought the boneless for 13.76 a pound. and let me tell you I'm from Chicago. This is the best steak I've ever cooked myself. It was fatty delicious tender moist just perfect marbling I bought some sweet potatoes some mixed vegetables. Everybody in the store was so helpful. I walked in with high expectations, as Florida has been showing out when it comes to their birds. The uber dropped me off in the Winn Dixie parking lot with my luggage on the way to the airport, and I went in and bought a Lemon Pepper Rotisserie Chicken that ran $9.99. I took the tissi and lugged my bags to Vivien Skinner Grant Pak right down the street. It was a solid chicken, but ended the legendary run that Publix and the Fresh Market provided back to back like Kobe in 09-10. The breast was a bit dry and the flavor lacked, but it was still an above average bird. It landed at a 7.9/10, which puts it #11 out of 25 grocery store chickens I have currently demolished.
