WOW! Just moved to Forney saw this place on the drive to the new house. Did some due diligence and saw the photos on Yelp and went in. So glad we did. Great service. Cool dining room. Food was amazing. The hibachi was better than I expected my wife LOVES the fried rice so that was worth the extra 2 bucks. The dragon bomb was packed with flavor and not too spicy. Perfect balance. The ambiance is amazing with soft jazz music playing making it the perfect place for a date, which aligns with the food and service provided. Our waiter was tentative and always there when we needed a refill or to order another item. They have a generous selection of food, especially sushi which is phenomenal because I'm a sushi lover but I was a little disappointed that they didn't have an actual hibachi table. However, they still do offer very delicious hibachi. I also ordered takeout a few weeks later and it tasted the same as it did in the restaurant which I am happy with however the sushi wasn't as amazing as I hoped but I will try it again in the restaurant instead of takeout. Last night was my second time to dine at Blue Koi and it was even better than the first. The ambiance is nice, the menu selection is extensive, there is a great cocktails menu, and the food tastes wonderful. This time I had white tuna nigiri, the Dragon roll and the sweet potato roll. All three were tasty and the Dragon in particular was amazing - the combination of eel, avocado and crab with a rich eel sauce almost melted in my mouth. The piña colada was good, and service was excellent - attentive but not hovering. Staff members were friendly. My husband and I recently moved to Heath from Rowlett and I am sure we'll be back on a regular basis. read more

Been here twice and it's been consistent. Extremely empty, but service and food top notch. The server was the same woman for both visits who is super hospitable and warm. The food is fresh and presented really nicely. I love the rolls here. Prices are great - especially on happy hour for beer. The decor is cute and space is very clean. We love coming here. Drove 40 minutes to Heath for this and it was worth it! My dad and I had never been to the Heath area before and when I found this place through a Google search, the photos and the reviews enticed me. I saw the Heath Roll had seared salmon and I was sold. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. Our server gave us a good amount of time to look over the menu and when he came by to ask for our drink order, I was actually ready to order everything. We got hot green tea (delicious), edamame, the Heath Roll, an Eel and Avocado Roll, and I ordered my dad a chirashi bowl. The chirashi bowl came with miso soup and a salad so we shared those while eating the edamame. Our food came out looking delicious and the rolls really hit the spot for me. I tried some of the seared white tuna from the chirashi bowl and though I'm not used to having it seared, it was soooo much better than usual with that added charred flavor. Would definitely come back! The restaurant is also in a great location next to a donut place and a short walk away from a boba place. It also has outdoor seating. read more
