Thai Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp

Beautiful atmosphere with tropical and Thai decor! Friendly and attentive service. Most importantly: delicious food! I had the Thai pineapple fried rice, and miso dumpling soup. Both were excellent!

Absolutely excellent. I could have had only the coconut chicken soup and been happy. But I got fresh wasabi with bass sushimi and soft shell crab and red curry salmon and left practically walking on sunshine.

Do not judge this place by the exterior! The interior decor is probably the best I have ever seen! It's truly amazing down to the money bag lights over the cashier! Food is top notch! We stopped by on a trip to NOLA an so glade we did!!

There was a bit of a confusion at first with my order but it was quickly resolved. Management stepped in and they were very nice. The chefs specialty roll was very good and the menu had a lot of options to choose from. The restaurant was cute from the outside and had nice lighting inside. The tables were sticky. But when the food came out it was good. Mostly the roll. I didn't enjoy the sashimi that much, didn't taste that fresh. Seemed a little bit pricey in the end for the portion, but that's just sushi anywhere (nearly $30). I wanted to give this place a try since I've driven by multiple times. Service good, food okay, not sure if I would try again.

This was a nice hidden lunch getaway that took me by surprise. It's in a stand alone building somewhat tucked away and when you walk in the scene totally shifts to a dim, quiet, Thai oasis. The decor is amazing. We went during the late lunch hour and were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and quick. Our food came out super quick, and those bao buns are so good! The pad see ewe could use a bit more sauce, but the flavor was all the way there. The miso soup was yummy, with a surprise dumpling! This was overall a quality meal!

Coconut roll up on top, ninja roll on the bottom. 10/10. Amazing!

First time going to Thai Square sushi in Sunnyvale. The staff was great! Winnie was so polite and friendly. My family has come here few times, and as my first time going, I'd say best sushi I've had so far. So fresh. The filet mignon appetizer is also 10/10! I wish I had more photos of the food, because we all left so happy.

This place was Great! Our first time there and they did not disappoint. The food was very well cooked very tasty. Sometimes you have to try something different and this place was it! The waitress Katelynn was a beautiful soul and she made our first visit very delightful. Very delicious food!

I love this place! The sushi is fantastic! I also got one of the noodle dishes, but it is not pictured I have gone twice and loved it. So far the soup dumpling is also good. I haven't tried their drinks except the Thai tea, but I'm sure they're good as well! The atmosphere is quiet and calm, inside lighting is dark but cute for a date night vibe

We were pleasantly surprised. There is the right amount of diverse options that should satisfy just about everyone. Everything was tasty. The sushi was fresh and I really enjoyed the Yellowfin. The service was efficient. The decor was delightful. Everything was clean and welcoming. I would admit any deficiency but I can't think of any. We ended up taking a few pieces of sushi home. Everything was so good it wasn't easy leaving anything for take-home. The sushi didn't last long after getting home. So two and one-half thumbs up. If you like this type of food then I sincerely believe you'll enjoy Thai Square.

I started with the garlic edamame, Kani salad, and gyoza. The gyoza are pan fried perfectly! Some places fry them too hard or deep fry them. The kani salad is a mix of shredded cucumber, spicy crab mix with spicy mayo, and roe. I ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the Rockwall roll. The Rockwall roll is sweet with coconut shrimp wrapped, topped with spicy crab mix and coconut sauce. It's delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and intimate. Darker in the dining room with table lamps. You're not looking around the room at everyone, but more focused on just your party. I will definitely be returning to Basil Cafe more often! Can't wait to try more sushi! Thanks again Annika for a great experience!

Overall, the food was solid with a few standout items. The spicy tuna roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The ramen was also quite good and comforting. The hibachi steak, however, was a bit of a surprise. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, but it (along with the vegetables) arrived slightly cold, which took away from the experience. The fried rice also lacked a bit of seasoning and could have used a little more flavor. While this wasn't a bad dining experience by any means, I'm still on the search for that standout spot in the area that truly checks all the boxes. That said, there are definitely some dishes here worth coming back for.

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

We had been wanting to try Rumdoul for a while, so it felt like a double treat! Before we even walked through the doors, we were hit with the most incredible aromas coming from the restaurant. It immediately made us excited to eat. Once inside, we were greeted with warm smiles by Leona, who was absolutely adorable and incredibly attentive to everyone dining there. We also had the pleasure of talking with Mr. B, who shared his vision for the restaurant and how he wants it to be different. You can genuinely feel the love, pride, and passion he has poured into this place--not only in the atmosphere but in every bite of food. Following some of his recommendations, we started with the chicken gyoza. They were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the tofu yellow curry at spice level 4. Let me tell you--it was SPICY! But it was also absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order it again, although there are so many other menu items I want to try too. Jason ordered the chicken Pad Thai. He's extremely picky about noodle texture and thickness, and he devoured every single bite. He ordered spice level 3, which was almost too much for him, but that didn't stop him from cleaning his plate! Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was my favorite part of the meal. I poured every drop of that sweet coconut sauce over the rice and mango, and there wasn't a trace left on the plate. We even used the extra sauce from the gyoza in our dishes because everything was just that good. There's a reason Rumdoul is sitting close to a 5-star rating. The food is incredible, the service is wonderful, and the passion behind the restaurant shines through in every detail. We will absolutely be back--and as soon as our little man arrives, we'll be adding sushi to our order too! Giving Rumdoul 5's with zero hesitation.
