Piece of plastic right at the end of my meal.

I used to enjoy this place until the last few visits. We've had to wait on our order after multiple people walked in after us and received their orders, we have had missing dishes from our order which we requested more than twice in the same sitting and today drew the line. I found a piece of plastic in my Pho. Sorry but I won't be back and I will make sure to deter any of my people.

They have the best fried calamari in town! Their spring rolls are good, especially with tofu. The service is fast and parking is always available. They accept cash or card. A solid choice for lunch or dinner!

It's been probably a year since we have eaten here. The calamari is just as crispy and good as ever. The egg rolls were also crispy but a little on the greasy side. Also ordered the rice combo with beef, shrimp, fish cake, that was very fulfilling, beef cooked perfectly, the shrimp has a balance flavor. Service was excellent

I'm downgrading my review a bit, mostly due to service. I visited last night and ordered a small pho, there were many pieces of fat and gristle in my soup that couldn't even be chewed. I had to constantly spit it out. I also ordered a side of two of the Vietnamese eggrolls, and it usually comes out with a piece of lettuce, carrot and cucumber. A different waiter brought these to my table and literally just threw them on the table and walked away in a extremely rude manner. He had very long hair. They brought the eggrolls out with no lettuce and it took me forever to get anyone's attention to just get a piece of lettuce to eat with the eggroll. I always seem to get the same waiter, and he is not helpful at all. I like to order the pho and a side of something new to try. When I ask about anything in the menu he just says "depends on your taste". Yeah, but can you at least attempt to describe the things you serve? Make a recommendation? I was also there earlier this week and I told the waiter that I would like to order a Boba tea after my soup. When he came back over and I tried to order the tea, he said oh sorry the kitchen is closed. So they knew they were closing the kitchen, but he also knew that I intended to order a tea and did not come over and say anything at all. After the weird fat chunks and unhelpful service, I'm going to try other pho places in the area.

Had the best dinner at Blue Lotus! We enjoyed a bowl of beef pho, vegetable rolls and a Bahn mi sandwich. Large portions can definitely share! The Thai tea was so delicious and I love that they topped it with whip cream. The service was super quick and efficient and they played great music throughout the restaurant I am excited to return back to the blue Lotus to try more things on their menu, overall amazing experience!

Flavor Budz Check-in! If you know, you know. This place is always packed, so be ready to wait for a table. The staff is cool, but they don't really chat much. The food comes out quick and it's always fresh and tasty. The portions are good too. With winter here, I'm gonna be eating here more often. I highly recommend coming here for dinner. The food always feels like a warm hug from home.

Heard this is a great PHO place in Carson! Ordered House Special Pho to-go!!! Reasonable price for the amount of food! And the food was nicely packed for to-go. Delicious!!!!!

My friend said he came here long time ago with his son and an old neighbor who introduced him to this place. After a night of karaoke and vodka, soda, pineapple drinks... (almost hangover) Pho sounded so good! I met up with my friend and he brought me here. I was pleasantly impressed. Good parking, clean inside, good service, nice music, yummy food! I ordered the small house special pho with a side of beef balls and sliced onions (gotta have that "kimchi" like crunch with my noodles! lol!) which I drizzle with Hoisin Sauce and Sriracha. Soooo good! It hit the spot! We also got the Thai tea (no boba this time because... noodles are plenty carbs). Anyway, I'll definitely be back! Thanks guys!

Went here for dinner near closing time. Greeted and seated. Order Pho Soup and a spring roll. Received our food within 10 minutes. Both entrees was delicous. Broth was warm and had good flavor. I recommend because this the best VIETNAMESE in the city of Carson. Workers were nice, food was good, place is Clean and there is plenty of parking Prices are descent.

What a hidden gem! This building used to be a Del Taco and was so sad to see it go. But I finally took a chance and came in to try it. Boy I was pleasantly impressed with the quality, freshness, amount of food served and the price. It was amazing. I had pork chops with vermicelli noodles on Friday. I loved it so much I went back the next day for pork chops but this time with red rice. The service crew were sweet, attentive and very helpful for my first time coming in. Don't let the location fool you, this is legit a diamond in hiding. Will definitely be back.

Ask the Community - Blue Lotus Vietnamese Cuisine

What happened why are they closed for days now?

It appears they're closed for deep cleaning and to get the restaurant back up to acceptable health standards. This has happened once before. If they cannot maintain an A health rating, Evie, the manager/owner will shut it down to get it right.…

Are the vegetarian dishes also vegan?

No. Fish sauce is still used as seasoning in the vegetarian dishes.

    Do they deliver?

    No.

How are the spring rolls like? Are they freshly made?

Thanks for the inquiry. Our spring rolls are made to order. We only make them when you order.

That's either a good or bad thing, depending on what you're into. Buddha status and mood lighting galore at this spot. To be frank, I'm not the type of person who normally comes to a place like this, so my expectations for the food itself weren't very high, but I was decently surprised. Brunch consisted of a carving station, sushi, ramen, and desserts. Much of the food is ordered off the menu and they have a very large offering. Standout items were the teriyaki glazed salmon, branzino, Shanghai fried rice, spicy tuna tartare, and HK fried noodle. To my surprise, the ramen was also very decent. I actually went back and got more o the broth. Sushi was alright - the rice was good, at least. I did like the fact that the brunch offered so many different items. I'd come here with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. Personally I'd skip the breakfast bao buns and eggrolls - really trying to shoehorn the whole Asian/Western fusion a little too much with these. Would I come again? If somebody asked, sure. I don't think I'm the demographic for this spot, but if you're into this type of night club meets restaurant vibe, TAO is absolutely the best place to flood your social feed.

My friends have been wanting to come here after seeing it on the socials, so I figured it would be more about the photo ops and less quality dishes. Glad I was wrong! I mean, we were obsessed with all the floral decor, pastel and animal print plates, green outdoor patio and the pretty presentations of the cocktails. I loved the Make a Wish drink, which was served in a an ornate genie lamp, cute glass in a gold saucer and topped with a bite of key lime pie. The cocktail is an herbal concoction of Kumiho Gin, juniper berry, blueberry, butterfly pea flower, hibiscus, Austrian elderflower, Lo-fi gentian, and grapefruit. It is soju-based so it's not that strong, but I could taste each ingredient with every sip. My friends and I shared: Farmhouse Wings ($21.95) for 3 Crispy organic whole wings served with basil and chili plum sauce. The wings were big, juicy and had a nicely, seasoned crispy skin. Not sure it's worth the price point though. Volcano Cup ($39.95) Noodle stir fried with our house God-mother sauce braised short ribs, peppercorn, bell peppers, white onions, Thai eggplant, and crispy basil. Okay, I thought this was going to be some gimmicky, mediocre dish, but it was actually fire! There were lots of fresh vegetables, the short rib fell off the bone, and it packed a good heat I absolutely loved. Live Lobster Pad Thai (58.95) The Maine Lobster was on the small side with tiger prawns, thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, chive, peanuts, cage free eggs, and Thai seafood sauce, white onion and crispy shallots. Considering how pricey the other dishes are, this seemed reasonable for a lobster dish. Oxtail Curry (46.95) Real Collagen BOMB! Braised oxtail in Panang curry served with turmeric rice, cucumber and yummy cilantro fish sauce. It has an initial sweet taste of coconut milk, but then the heat creeps up but not too strongly. This was even better the next day as leftovers. The service was excellent too. We were originally going to sit outside in their calm, green patio area but it was a hot day, so they let us sit inside. Our servers took great care of us from beginning to end and gave me a little extra of their yummy cilantro sauce with my take home box. All the drinks and dishes came out fairly quickly as well!

The decor of the restaurant is stunning and the ambiance is 1 of 2 things saving me from leaving a plain 1 star review. Paid parking is available in the back lot (free for 1 hr!) but you'll need the Metropolis app / account. Upon arriving and being greeted and told to seat wherever we'd like, we were then fully ignored by our waitress until almost 40 minutes into our visit. Genuinely, I have never had an experience like this and we were in shock. Around 8 minutes after being seated, a very kind bartender who could see our waitress visibly ignoring us came by to drop off menus. 10 minutes after that, he then took our order. Another 10 minutes later, he dropped off our food. ANOTHER 10 minutes after that, our actual waitress came by to ask how everything was after we had already seen her look at our table and walk right on by multiple times. To be clear, she was also treating other tables like this and the bartender had to help those tables out as well. Maybe ~8 minutes later, she came by and asked if we wanted the check to which we had to tell her that we had just ordered dessert (with our aforementioned bartender) to which she replied back that she didn't know we did that (which,,, why would she,,, she had been ignoring us almost our entire time in the restaurant??) After all this mess, she is the only who was listed as our server on the bill and the tip we left went toward her as opposed to the bartender who was the one actually helping us out. Price wise, if you do want to come visit, come during happy hour or lunch specials time. We came during lunch special time by accident and were able to absolutely be full with just ordering from there. We opted for orange chicken (different than at other places but fine) + walnut shrimp (enjoyed) + chow mein (don't recommend) + vegan egg rolls (recommend!). We got the apple cinnamon wontons for dessert and I wish we had known this dish was predominantly ice cream prior to ordering (miss). Overall, I'm saddened by my experience here and while I was initially hoping to come back to this spot, I left feeling very uncertain of it.
