Delicious! First time trying this spot out. Came here after my daughter's softball game for some take out and as we were in the parking lot deciding which restaurant to choose, I noticed this location had ramen so that was the deciding factor on which restaurant- Which I am so happy that we chose this place! Located in a shopping center where the John's incredible pizza is, this place is tucked right next to a starbucks. The location is small- about 8 or so tables but it was cute and clean and that's exactly what I am looking for when I want sushi- especially for takeout. We got 2 chicken ramens and 2 poke bowls. Not having any expectations is the best. I got home opened up my poke bowl and I was already in awe. Took a bite WOAH! This place now has me hooked! Not only is the poke bowl a bang for your buck, it's absolutely delicious. I will most definitely be coming back again. The fish tasted fresh, the service was excellent. read more

Honestly everytime I come I never understand why it's not as packed as it should be. The service alone is always amazing! I've come about 3x usually when I've been in the area but the older woman and the young teenager who have always helped us are literally the sweetest. Even though I've only come a couple times she has remembered my baby and when I've come without him she made sure to ask me how he is doing. As far as the food it's literally so good and the best of both worlds for ramen and sushi. I do recommend the spice with the ramen though it just gives it the perfect kick! The ambiance is very simple which is nice they are constantly cleaning up the tables to make sure they tables have no dishes or trash on them so you can order and go straight to sitting. Our church men's Bible study group met at Tak-e sushi & rolls. The prices are reasonable. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate. The portion of chicken was more than adequate. The service was outstanding and friendly. I certainly will make a return visit with my wife. read more

This place is solid--- but in the middle of the road kind of way. I have only been there once, and I will go again, or I am not opposed to going there again, but in reality, I will go there out of convenience, not because I was drawn a new to its tastes and flavors. It is close to my gym, so by design and solid offerings, I will go again. But maybe I will discover something great on a new day, and maybe if I eat there, I will applaud it more. I took my order to go, and sometimes that makes quality suffer. Like I did not enjoy the food fresh, it traveled with me, and perhaps during the journey it became tired and tired food taste lame at worst, and at best, solid but it has lost its potential. I say this all to frame this place as I want to considerate when I used my words. When I first stepped in, I saw Japaense lanterns-- white, with bold print. I saw sushi boats hanging with care and symmetry, but, it was nice but not immersive. It was just decor to bring a touch of ambiance, the ambiance was not vibe-defining. It was more of a vibe-whisper that I could hear ring, softly, but I could ignore it cause it did not arrest my ear or sight. The service was kind, attentive and patient. Like I said that I liked Salmon and the cashier mentioned number 28- the Volcano Roll. I consulted the website California roll, baked salmon and crispy onion. This is a roll, that I feel would taste better if I would enjoyed it, the minute it was ready. But when I enjoyed it, I engulfed it. It was solid--- like I said. I did not engulf it cause it was a bite to engorge, just a worthy treat to satisfy my post-gym hunger. I also had the edamame, ate it, solid. I had a salmon bento box too. I chopped the salmon, and placed in the miso soup, with the rice. It then was a great bite. I am happy I am the type of person that instinctively knows how to make food taste better by combining for depth, and complexity and spark. The first person who built fire with stick and stone must have felt the same way. The best part about this place is that it had tempura onion. I never had tempura onion--- and I am one of those people that loves onion. I won't eat onion as I would an apple, like bite by bite, but onion, grilled, baked, or fried, even raw, is a treasure I taste. I cut onion. I cut apple. So in that way I do eat them in the same way. The place has whimsical names for its salmon. Like a burrito role or an in n out roll. They are not what you will imagine by their name. Like the burrito role is not made with flour tortilla or mexican spices. They are still fish forward rolls. But they take inspiration from the land they know and are nestled in. That is a tip of a hat that honors LA culture. I guess it is also evidence that you will not get an authentic experience here. But sometimes the glory of a place is that it knows is identity and presents it without shame. Kind of like some people I know--- Charro for example, or Paris Hilton, or Kim K. or Joel Osteen. Like they present themselves unabashedly and they own their identity. I guess they are unpolegitically themselves. This restaurant is too. That is my point. read more

Mediocre sushi is really bad sushi. Rice is consistently hard and I have found hair in my to go order. Maybe kitchen staff should be made to wear hair nets. Too many sushi restaurants in the South Bay to eat here again. Disappointing. read more

Gave Tak-e a try via UberEats and it was pretty solid! My brother and I very much appreciated the generous cuts of sashimi and construction of the specialty rolls. My only critique was that the maguro quality was mediocre at best...surprisingly as the sake was well above average. Wouldn't mind ordering again to get a value-packed sushi fix. read more

Oh this place is amazing! The food is delicious, always fresh, very flavorful. The service is always on point, also very accommodating. The ambiance is like a small restaurant, not a lot of tables. I've been coming here for some quite some time and each time the owner (I'm assuming) is super sweet! The service, in general, is amazing and efficient. The food is also BOMB. We ordered takeout. I think it may have been the owner and she was so friendly and nice. My daughter loved the Edamame and it tasted great. The food was delicious. I come here very often and it is one of my favorite spots. I would definitely recommend their chicken or beef bento it is fantastic and very fairly priced. They also have really good sushi options and offers which is great if your going with somebody. They also have these really cool anime sodas and vast drink variety. The staff is very attentive always on the look out and very kind. The place itself is very nice pretty small but you'll be able to eat there all the time. read more

This is my number one spot to go to for sushi. The service is great and the sushi is very good, my only problem is that sometimes for the shrimp roll, they don't peel the skin off that well and I sometimes get shrimp skin in my throat. My husband loves sushi so we thought we would veer from his usual spot and try this spot out. We ordered: 1 Rainbow Roll 1 Aloha Roll 1 Nigri (Salmon, Albacore and Tuna) 1 Popcorn Lobster Roll with Spicy Tuna The rolls are good. They are not bad. They weren't rolled as neat as we're used to. The fish didn't look as fresh. Again, the rolls were not bad. The service is okay. They clean up your dishes even though you order and pay before you sit down to eat. The dining area is clean. Maaan, I really wanted to like this place. I guess coming from HI doesn't really help, many of us are sushi snobs so I apologize for that. I ordered 3 Spicy Tuna Tempura Rolls. I was impressed by the size and amount you get, but judging by how hot and heavy my to-go bags were, I just knew that the tuna would be cooked by the time I got home, and it was. The tempura wasn't crisp & flaky, it was pretty soggy. Maybe poke holes in the packaging to let heat escape? If I didn't order the Udon with chicken, this would've been a 1-star review. The broth was pretty good, had a slight tang to it but good. Wish the noodles were a bit chewier. read more

Sent the dogs to doggie day care to enjoy a brief but well deserved break from being doggy daddy and mommy. I had marked a place in Carson by Floor and Decor so we rambled down the 110 for lunch. We got there and some guy was sitting in front of Chile Verde staring our way. He never approached us but an older lady did come out and handed him some money. We scooted over to look at the menu of sushi rolls and noticed they have a buy 2 get the 3rd free promo. FREE always attracts my attention unless followed by an asterisk or there is a ton of small print located at the bottom. Regardless, I always remain suspicious. The owners are very nice and greet you as you enter. We decided on the Orange Roll, Sexy Salmon, and Golden Tiger. I was a bit surprised that even with the free offer, the total was almost $40 at a take out place. Covid pricing and Ukrainian crisis I guess. Out of the 3, we only found one dish impressive. The Golden Tiger is a winner. With nice plump tempura shrimp inside covered with the sweet, creamy sauce with a touch of burn. NICE. The others... orange, meh...sexy?...not going out with her again. Very skimpy, thin pieces of sashimi and slivers of avocado. This is how they cover themselves on the buy 2 get next free. It's like going to the Magic Castle and watching close up magic. Nothing is as it seems. Yeah, the other 2 orders were pretty pedestrian. Overall, since you get 3 orders for the price of 2, it's an acceptable deal and it's not like anything we got was bad. It was just average. Not a 4 star for me. Restaurant is very clean. Service is quick and prompt. Nice cooler with various non-alcoholic beverages to choose from if you don't want a fountain drink. So it's a completely acceptable experience but I was just hoping for a bit more. Thank goodness for the Golden Tiger! By the way, for those who haven't ID'd the Tiger, it's the one on its own plate. read more

The Baked Scallop Roll never disappoints here--fresh ingredients, good serving size. Their serving size of their nigiri could be a little bigger, but it is still delicious. The price here is pretty standard. They seem to have a buy two rolls and get one roll free promotion right now which is a nice deal. Parking is easy and free since it is in a business complex. It's right between a Starbucks and a Chile Verde. Service is good. They are a pay at the register establishment, so everything was quick and efficient. Right now, this is my go-to sushi spot in Carson. read more

This is a neighborhood restaurant so I decided to check them out. I made a small purchase of the 5 piece veggie tempura. It consisted of broccoli, onion, sweet potato, carrot, and pumpkin. The pumpkin was a nice change. It took about 5 minutes and I was crunching in the car. I consider vegetable tempura a light meal and it's actually very filling.
