Was super craving pho on a rainy Wednesday night so decided to take a trip to bamboo song. Pricing is reasonable my combo pho was $15~ excluding tips. It was a comfort meal, delicious and filling. I don't think the combo pho had beef tripes which I usually look forward to.

Ordered takeout from here. Everything was well packaged. However, the bean sprouts were old and browning, which was gross. And they didn't give jalapeños. The spring rolls were good and the pho was good overall.

Everything we ordered was so good! The pho broth really hit the spot, and the meat was perfect. The spring rolls were amazing too! The shrimp Vietnamese crepe is my favorite and they did not disappoint! Service was quick! Highly recommend!

Located on the southwest corner of Crenshaw & Lomita; parking can be tight if all the establishments are open - two were closed on the day I stopped in (Burger IM and Umenoya). Restaurant was fairly empty; just a few customers so customer service was pretty attentive. I can't comment on friendliness because it seemed like the staff knew that their customers were there on their lunch hour so it was pretty much all business. I will say that they were nice though. As for the food, I ordered items A1 and 37A (Bamboo Song Special & Pork Sausage Spring Rolls). The broth was on the mild and sweet side which isn't my preference; not that it was bad though. I just prefer a more hearty and fatty broth. The rolls were ok too. Even portion sizes - so it's not just too much veggies and not enough meat. Overall - I liked it. I didn't love it.

Recently stopped by here about a year after trying it for the first time…read more I have to say, Pasta Stories really stepped up their game in terms of serving time! The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.

For a cost friendly meal, the expectation in quality generally tends to be low but Pasta Stories is…read morethe exception. With meals ranging from $10-$17, there is something for everyone. I personally have tried the following: Hokkaido Cream Pasta (newest addition as of late) Fukuoka Mentaiko Butter Pasta Kyoto Matcha Cream Pasta (one of my favorite dishes here - pair with salmon for a strong, umami flavor profile) Iwate Triple Mushroom Pasta Okinawa Pork Ragu Spaghetti (THE number 1 pick, however was not on the menu when I visited last) Osaka American Wagyu Meat Sauce There is a strong attention to Japanese flavors fusing with traditional Italian pasta dishes and are all made with love and care. I always recommend this place to friends and family, I can't get enough of it!

The same thing happened on our second visit, and we were honestly heartbroken. However, Sunny (I think that was his name) went above and beyond to make sure we still got to experience their food. He kindly gave us samples of the Spam musubi and fried chicken to take home. That's 100% top-notch customer service right there! Since then, we've returned twice more with friends, and the food has been absolutely amazing. The shrimp is hands-down my favorite, and the karaage chicken with the green sauce is super addictive. I also finally got to try the crispy Spam musubi, which was unique and delicious . We'll definitely keep coming back. In fact, I'm tempted to throw a party just so I have an excuse to cater from them! I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and knew I was going to get the curry puffs. The last time I ordered these I was with a friend and had to share but not this time. I was on a solo lunch and looking forward to the puffs! To say they are "perfect" seems insufficient. They were fried incredibly well, hot, crunchy, tasty, but never greasy. And these little puffs were filled with minced beef, potatoes, and seasoning! For my main dish, I chose the dragon noodles (pad thai) with chicken. All the veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly, nothing too mushy, just the right amount of crunch/bite to the cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. And the chicken was chunky! And while I loved everything about the dish, the sprinkling of the crushed peanuts was *chef's kiss*. There's no skimping on those peanuts here. As I write this I'm excited for the leftover noodles waiting for me. When you walk into Sausalido you really do feel welcomed. The space is unassuming in the best way possible. Posters of the drinks they offer (coffee, smoothies, boba) adorn the walls, along with pictures of the various food items they have. The restaurant is across the street from Alondra Park and there are other businesses in the center. So, if you need to do your laundry do that and grab a meal at Sausalido.
