I gave 2 stars and not 1 because the place was nice, clean and NP/video conference lady was nice. When I called, the receptionist sounded nice and friendly however in person she was the opposite; she was not friendly, not welcoming, she asked my name, then she gave me a clip and pointed at the opposite corner, from my point of view I didn't see that there was a small waiting area. The wait time was not bad, however the lady who came to get me, had the same vibe, unfriendly, no smile, nor welcoming. She took me to a room, pointed to the chair, asked me a few questions. She sounded tired and exasperated, i even asked her if she liked doing this. She didn't even introduce herself, and when I asked her name she just mumbled a name. The only nice person was the NP on the video conference. I have slight phobia for needles and I asked her if they use topical lidocaine, she said yes! Then next thing i know she is injecting me (the needle wasn't as bad). Next thing i know, she is done and tells me you are bleeding some, do u want an icepack? I didn't even get a receipt, so hoping i got botox since i dont like dysport. I didnt asker her anything else, all i wanted was to get out. I felt like an unwelcome guest. Front desk is always accommodating to my work schedule, and are great with same day appointments. Anna is very professional and always makes the experience quick and painless. I have been driving by Blue Medi Spa for years and finally decided to get my IPL treatments closer to home, instead of driving to my Derm's office in Beverly Hills. I had already scoped out Blue's website, so I knew all that they had to offer, and was actually interested in several other treatments and vitamin shots, so I was prepared to spend thousands in the weeks to come (their IPL packages aren't cheap, nor is anything else). I figured they'd been in business a while and must have a good track record with experienced treatment providers. I could not have been more wrong. After being so excited to start my month of "getting things done" so I would feel better when my work resumed, I drove the 20 minutes to Blue. I called and said I would be a few minutes late cuz of LA traffic but I got there at 2:35pm for my 2:30pm appointment, so all was fine. Why did I rush? I waited another half hour for the girl to come out and get me, even after I'd filled out all of their starting paperwork. But ok, a delay for a good treatment was fine this time. When I followed the girl, don't know what to call her as she clearly was no medical professional, she led me to the treatment room and looked at my paperwork. She said, "Oh, you're taking doxycycline!" I said, yes, a low dose for about twenty years, prescribed by one of the best terms in the country at The Lasky Clinic, to help control my rosacea. She said, "you can't get IPL. No one would give someone on Doxy IPL." When I said I'd had the treatment many times, always at a Doctor's/Derm's offices (at either Lasky or Kay Dermatology), and I knew it was fine, she continued to lecture me. I got up and said what a waste of time this trip (and my excitement) had been and I left. After I walked to my car, I did a little research. I wanted to see if there was any justification for her lecture. There was not. According to every single derm website AND NIH.GOV (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH), it is perfectly fine (as I had told her) for someone to have IPL while taking doxy. There NIH website even said the combo of the two is the BEST treatment for rosacea. She could not have been more wrong. I went back in to Blue. I wanted to make sure the manager knew they lost a boatload of money because they have a completely uninformed and ignorant person treating patients. How could I trust them for anything - how could anyone? At the same time as I was there speaking with the manager, I saw the girl I had spoken to in the waiting room checking out, and we walked to our cars together. I told her what happened and she said, "how funny, I had a similar experience. I was only getting a vitamin shot, which I'd had many times there, and when the girl came in she said that I needed to have shots in both arms. I corrected her and she left to confirm, then came back in and said I was right. She didn't seem to know what she was doing." Both of us wondered if there was new management who had new people working there who were perhaps not as well trained. Seemed like it. But who wants to go somewhere where they do medical procedures and injections when you can't trust the basic knowledge of the people providing the service?! Not me. Fortunately, the girl I walked out to my car with gave me a rec for another medi-spa she said was great and way cheaper. Blue is risky and way too expensive for service you can't trust. Go elsewhere. Been a client of BlueMedi since 2017. I've had the same treatment done during every single visit, 20units of Botox injected into the forehead area. During my last visit I come to find out at the front desk while I'm paying that what I received wasn't Botox, but Xeonim, a product that I've never heard of. Expressed my concern and disbelief, paid and left the spa. Although I was told it's a similar product and some prefer it over Botox, I cannot even begin to describe the feeling of being injected with something I did not consent to. I would expect that there is attention paid to patients records right before their visit, or at the very minimum mention of injection of a different product. I got a botox treatment that resulted with a droopy eye lid and I called them up and scheduled an appointment to address the issue. They gave me an eye drop to open up the eye lids temporarily, the eye drop was given was expired. It raised my blood pressure I ended up seeing a doctor, I had a mini stroke! They never called me to follow up, also the neck and jaw line botox didn't work at all. After the session I ended up looking like deformed Picasso picture! I looked so bad and deformed. I asked for a refund but they lied to me that they were refund my money back and they never did. Stay away from this place! I try not to give bad review to businesses bc I know It's very hard for a small business survive in California. But the lack of professionalism and not caring about their customers did really made me very upset. I could die! They didn't care at all! They only cared about the money. Pls don't go to this place. This place is just a money making machine. They are over priced, extremely unprofessional and rude. I went there for mirco-needling. I got an infection. I tried to call and email but no one returns calls. I've been to 4 dermatologist to fix my skin. And the people at Blu Medi Spa won't take responsibility or even care about their mistakes or unhygienic practices. Stay away from this place. I would post photos of the damage they did to my face but it's too embarrassing. And charging $450 to dissolve filler is an absolute scam. They should be ashamed. read more

I have known people who have gone and each time always unhappy-- also the receptionists don't know how to explain their services, when I called and asked about a facial receptionist claimed nothing I said or was looking for would even exist there after a session. Very pleasant experience. Miss Dani has a slight obsession with underarm hair and want evey single one of them removed. So an appointment was booked for a laser hair removal treatment. The spa was extremely new, clean, consisting mostly of contemporary white or clear decor. I was lead to a cute room on a comfortable bed while this pretty lady worked on me. The laser she used was definitely top of the line technology and was relatively painless. The whole process took less than 15min. I came back because I needed a little something! Something for Me... so I had my lips enhanced and Dysport and some Juvaderm fillers. My injector was Jane and let me tell you.. This lady is a FACE ARTIST. I've never felt better about myself.. and everything she suggested (even though I was apprehensive, being out of the game for so long) was perfect. I've been here multiple times since they reopened during the pandemic and it's still amazing! The care that the staff has taken to keep their facility sterile and still beautiful is really exceptional. The nurses administering your treatments wear face shields as well as masks, the front desk is in masks and behind plexiglass. Everyone is very cautious about social distancing.
