The staff was incredibly rude!! Just to order a few bagel sandwiches, it took 45 minutes. When I asked if someone could check on my order, several staff members were clearly irritated. Another customer said politely he'd been waiting on his one item for 30 minutes too. I believe it was the owner who yelled that no one has waited that long!! Wow! Exactly what we were looking for before we make our way to Yellowstone. The Bakery is located on the backside of the Broken foot (?) bar/restaurant. We ordered the health nut sandwich, a build your own calzone, several daily specials of 2 pizza slices and a drink, a spinach salad and a garden salad. The hubs had a beer and as for the food-there's not a single crumb to show for any of it. The salad wasn't anything out of the norm, the balsamic was yummy. The bread for the sandwich appeared freshly made and the sandwich was about 5" thick. It looked amazing. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and patient with our indecisive crew. Pizzas were good. Sandwiches were ok, we got two Big Italians and asked for one to be no cheese and both were no cheese. Our bill was $128. There was 9 of us eating at home. They said food would be ready at 6:30pm and my sons had to wait until 7:07 pm for food to be ready. Then when I received my credit statement, they had added $24 tip. They made us wait an additional 37 minutes and we ate at home. We ordered a lot of food but we gave them a lot of business ??!! I never tip 20% for pick up food order. read more

This review is less about the food, more about the attitude. The management company where we rented advised us of local businesses that offer discounts to their customers. Blue Moon refused to honor the discount without proof that we were guests. When we presented proof, they then said that the discount applied only to the Lodge property guests. Manager got totally snippy with my wife. When she persisted, he pulled a five out of his wallet and told her angrily to take it. As that wasn't really the issue, she refused. While we were waiting for food, she went next door to the management company to let them know that Blue Moon wasn't honoring discounts. They were surprised to hear it. Not the most pleasant dine-in experience either. The staff was having an argument in the back. The counter guy was inattentive and we had to ask for part of our order. But service from one person was excellent. On the plus side, one of the staff (the aforementioned excellent one) brought a cookie "on the house" for the inconvenience (my child had asked for a cookie but my wife didn't want to give them more business and perhaps they overheard). She got this place back a star. The food was meh. Salad was actually decent but the vaunted pizza that everyone not from the Northeast seemed to love was nothing to rave about. Overcooked and really average at best. Admittedly it is hard to get good pizza in the Rockies (I've never had much luck there) and having lived in New Jersey, my pizza standards are pretty high. If you're from the Northeast, you'll be seriously disappointed with the 'za. If you're from out west and don't know good pizza, maybe it works for you. We may be back to Big Sky. We won't be back to Blue Moon. read more

Skip this rude, arrogant place. Ordered 5 cold sandwiches and a couple of pre made desserts. We didn't even have them put condiments on them. Cost $75 and took 25 minutes to make 5 cold sandwiches. Asked a couple of times about how long it would be and at 24 mins asked for a refund. Employee stayed rudely, "you're not getting a refund. 24 mins is not too long to wait." Place only had a couple of other customers during this time. Rude staff and took inordinately long for the very expensive order of a totally average sandwich. Jerks! We ordered a pizza 2.5 hours ago. They said 1.15-1.5 no problem. We still Have not gotten our pizza. We have called multiple times with no real answer. It's in the oven, it's on the way.... no pizza. When we call they have not offered any apologies, just excuses. Pizza or no Pizza customer service non existent. When you place an prefer they should be honest about their capabilities. Only now, they are using the excuse of 1 driver. As a PS the poor driver getting nothing because when the pizza arrived it was cold. He is the face of a dysfunctional system. read more

Co worker and I found BLUE MOON BAKERY on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did because we enjoyed a tasty and affordable lunch. I had the special for the day which was two slices and a soda for $7.50. I had the meat lovers and the spicy Hawaiian. The crust was delicious. That's what made the pie. Muffins, brownies and pizza served up by hippies? How can you go wrong? The Baklava muffin was fantastic, even two days later. Everything else we gobbled up the same night. Our party of hungry skiiers ended up here for dinner since it appears several of the other surrounding places require reservations for a Friday night. No worries - we're fans of pizza. The pizza crust was notably tender and satisfying, but the toppings were fairly average and the garlic cheese toast was just fine. Overall, we had good pizza, decent beer, and no wait or reservations were required. But they should really do something about the door - it slams every time it's opened. I'd give our dinner experience just over 3 stars. We returned to try out breakfast, and holy homemade bagels... I had one of the best lox & bagels of my life. One of my friends who shares my affinity for lox & bagels agreed, noting that it's rare for him to not need extra cream cheese, but Blue Moon doesn't skimp! Several of us were tempted to get bagels to bring home. The breakfast sandwiches are equally generous and delicious. Tack on excellent coffee (I noticed an accolade by the door claiming the best coffee in Big Sky - I don't doubt it!) and I'm a fan. read more
