    Green eggs and ham

First visit to this restaurant that has a nice lake view and ample parking. Very crowded on a holiday weekend but food arrived quickly and the waitstaff was fairly attentive. Cinnamon rolls and coffee were fresh and delicious and my green eggs and ham were a bit greasy and weird but creative. Fun place to experience Wisconsin bar scene.

Stopped in for a Sunday morning brunch. The food was just okay. I thought the French toast with cereal crust might be a little interesting & fun but I found it to be mostly flavorless. Between the country music playing and some servers talking negatively about guests near our table, I didn't find the dining experience as enjoyable as I would have hoped.

Over all excellent. No real complaints. We had a group of 7 of us and stopped after a gymnastics meet in town so it was fairly busy. I had the bomb burger and although it was super messy it was amazing. I don't order burgers at places very often and was glad I did. They have quit a few other things I would have loved to try. Too bad they aren't closer. for how busy they were I'm surprised how quickly the food came. Prices I felt were reasonable. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food they picked. Would definitely come back if we were in the area. Plus the view is pretty from the windows.

Stopped in here first time on a Friday morning. Place was packed. We got right in, and seated. Tracy was our server and she was great! The food was way more than I expected. Fresh, hot, house made, huge portion, served pretty fast considering the crowed size. I honestly can't wait to return.

This is a lovely little what I would call an upscale diner. The restaurant is located on what the locals told me was Lake Onalaska. Just a lovely site looking over the water and with an excellent view of the bluffs. For lunch today I chose the peppered pulled pork sandwich. This was barbecued pulled pork, coleslaw, candied bacon, and pepper Jack cheese on a hoagie. I really enjoyed this sandwich. The crunch from the toasted roll and coleslaw was really good. The French fries had a great crunch and the perfect amount of seasoning. The only downside was that any time you put coleslaw on a sandwich, it gets a little messy. A very enjoyable lunch. The restaurant itself had a very inviting atmosphere. Lots of light to balance the darker wood. Our server was very friendly. I did not feel we had to wait for anything. Enjoy!!

Service was ok but not exceptional. Wing sauces (BBQ and Bourbon) were very nice. But... the wings were a little dry and tough.

I was surprised…read moreupon entering at 4:00 on a Wednesday to only see one table of two and three patrons at the bar. Alright, this is my speed, not too busy....yet... I also opted for their Happy Hour special of Buy 2 draft beers get one free. I didn't ask before starting to drink.... if I have someone joining me, can we split the drinks? On my second beer bartender Austin produced like a poker chip for the free beer, stating I could use it today or another time. When my guest arrived we were discussing the chip... me "where did I put it?" Them "back in your purse" ...no, no I did not! When Austin came around I asked if he had taken the chip? He said he had, to use for my friends beer. Cleared that up and was met with: no they're on their own, I will use that token, ha. But good to know you can essentially split them and I should have! The tap beer options aren't overwhelming and aren't sparse as I was able to opt for three separate craft breweries. For the burgers; I opted for the Wildfire and them for the Bacon Cheeseburger. When I adjusted mine for no pickles, onions or jalapenos, Austin replied: so just a cheeseburger then? I responded: no, because it also has the special sauce. My friend opted for a side of coleslaw.... which was just coleslaw, nothing special. I opted for fries, they were good. The three included w the price side options are: fries, kettle chips & coleslaw. Parking was easy w their private lot. I really liked the digs and they weren't too loud. I was a little put of when I began chatting up the traveler next to me when she said she was told she couldn't be seated at a table as she was a solo guest. I don't agree w that, especially when it wasn't busy yet....Thanks Crossroads for a delicious burger, cheers!

Neuie's Vogue has quickly become one of our go-to local spots, and we've already been back twice…read more The first time, my husband and I stopped in for drinks, fried mushrooms, and a pizza. Simple, solid bar food done right...the fried mushrooms were delicious. We liked it enough to come back, this time with our son. He had the Reuben, my husband went with the patty melt, and both were great. I tried the broasted chicken, which was a touch salty but still good overall. What really sets Neuie's apart is the atmosphere. It's a comfortable, welcoming neighborhood bar...not too loud, not too dark. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy a conversation over a good meal. Good service as both waitresses were very attentive. We'll definitely be back.

I've been to this bar & grill numerous times in the company of male companions and always enjoyed…read morethe experience. I like the "neighborhood atmosphere" of this place, and the food is usually quite good. Today 7-24-26, I went in as a sole customer at approximately 2:00 PM -- a non-busy time -- and sat at a 2 person table a few feet from the bar. I was ignored for approx. 17 minutes. I was starting to wonder if they perhaps only did bar service at that time, but no signs were posted, and no one said a word to me. Furthermore, a few other customers, came in at this point & also sat at tables. Just before I was ready to walk out (20 minutes of being ignored is the limit) , the barkeep called over to ask if a server had seen me. I responded "No" and she said she'd let her know I was there. Nothing. After about 5-6 more minutes, the barkeep herself came & took my order which included food & a drink. The food, (their Friday fish), as stated before, was great. Absolutely no server checked on me during the 50 minutes between my food being served, and the time I left, to see if I needed anything. The barkeep called over to me once, about 5 minutes after my food arrived, to ask if I needed anything. At one point, in addition to the barkeep, I counted 3 other employees going in & out of the back room, and two of them were actively serving -- other patrons. Patrons at other tables--couples, and gentlemen -- were checked on numerous times during this period. After I had finished eating, I sat with my remaining food to one side, and an empty drink, for approx 25 minutes. Finally a server stopped literally 5-6 feet from my table -- didn't even actually come to my table-- & called over "Do you need anything?" I suspect my "infuriated vibes" were starting to permeate the premises at that point. I responded that I needed a box & my tab. Had I been approached even 20 minutes earlier, I probably would have ordered another drink. Honestly, this was disappointing in a place I really have had warm thoughts on. Will it stop me from going in again? Probably not... the food is good, and that's primarily what I'm there for. But my strategy will likely be different next time. 'Not as a quiet, polite & reserved female customer. I suppose I'll need to "belly up to the bar" along with the rest of the dudes.
