The decor is very interesting and eclectic. Though they are known for their extra extravagant waffles and pancakes. We decided to get the quesadilla the bacon pancakes, and a potato hash dish. Though all tasted fairly well, they could've been elevated with seasoning and or other toppings. I definitely recommend they use their fresh pico de gallo to their advantage. Blue Moon Too taste just like the original Blue Moon restaurant on the other side of the harbor except the new location is bigger with way more tables. The restaurant still gets packed so if you do not arrive early you might have to wait. The Captain Crunch French Toast is still phenomenal and a must try (even if it's expensive now) along with their gigantic biscuits and cinnamon rolls. First time visiting Baltimore and first meal of the trip was here. Absolutely delighted by my friend's pick. She's a local and comes to one of the two locations frequently. The interior is open and inviting, not a cafe vibe which is nice. The waitress was spot on with timing and was able to answer any questions we had. We saw the HUGE portions coming out and didn't want all that food so she did suggest a half stack of the sweet selections instead of a full. We decided on splitting the Bomblette omelet and churro french toast. And OMG what excellent selections. I'm not even a sweets guy and that french toast was absolutely amazing. A little crispy churro outside and perfectly cooked french toast with whip cream and fresh strawberries. Holy cow. Then onto the omelette. Not sure I can say "healthy" but some features that made it a healthier choice. Beautiful egg whites with spinach and feta all topped with lumps of crab. Perfect dish. We went to this restaurant while we were staying in Baltimore last weekend. We met some friends there for brunch. We had to wait for 45 minutes but it was worth it. First off, I loved the ambiance, the service and especially the food. We ordered a cinnamon bun to start. It was so big and there was some leftover. We also ordered fruit to share. I had the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. It was such a massive sandwich that I couldn't even finish it but it was so good! The hash provided as part of their omelettes we're okay, unsalted to allow you to dress it the way you want. But otherwise... Just acceptable. The omelette was folded with ingredients placed inside. Slightly different than what I expected but still enjoyable. Less so is losing all the ingredients that were falling out as a result of the folded style. The red velvet pancakes were overly sweet. I would have thoroughly loved the sweetness if I was 10 yrs younger but I ended up sweeping off the white chocolate chips and it was right where I was comfortable at. But again... Just good. I was a little skeptical about this place but it was a great experience. I wish the prices were a little lower. Their actual menu is a square site and not the site that may show up from a Google search. We only waited about 10 minutes for 2 people on a Saturday morning. It was more rainy weather so it may not have been as busy as usual. All of our food was great. Serving size was pretty good. I really liked the Churro French toast. It had nice crispy edges from the cinnamon crust and had plenty of strawberries and whipped cream to finish the French toast. We did wish there was meat inside the country burritos and expected the cinnamon rolls to be a little softer. Overall, great experience for a cafe. Added this place to my restaurants to try list years back when I first saw it on Food Network and finally made it for brunch this past Sunday! They don't take reservations but the wait was reasonable given that it was homecoming weekend and a ravens home game the same day. The decor is absolutely wild but it a totally goes with the wild menu! Captain Crunch French Toast is what originally made me add the establishment to my must eat at list, so we of course had to order it (& it was the STAR of the meal)! They're also able to customize items with Turkey versions of breakfast meats so our party was happy as some don't eat pork. I on the other hand eat all the pork and ordered the Mexican omelette with Chorizo and hash browns which was MONEY!!!! The hash browns were different in a good way and were sort of like shredded yet mashed yet griddled potatoes and were a pleasant surprise. Coffee was also good and it's bottomless. Service was good as well but a little slower, yet that's the expectation nowadays, so we didn't mind. Our servers were all absolutely pleasant and fun so they also made the experience one to remember. This is the second location for Blue Moon Cafe and the bigger of the two in terms of dining space. But just as much of a wait. There are no reservations, so you show up, put your name on a list. We were told 35 to 40 mins and so we went to get coffee down the block to make the wait feel shorter. We came back maybe after 25 mins and were seated. Our server took some time to get to us(though other tables that sat after us got their orders taken first). We ordered the seasonal pumpkin pancakes and the sweet baby Jesus. The pancakes are essentially a big dessert but nothing wrong with that. For about $17 seems ok. Large portion. The sweet baby Jesus hash was $30 .. a bit too expensive if you ask me and it's not inflation pricing.. as I understand it's always been that price. Huge portion but I imagine it's the crab that makes it so pricey. Honestly it was lacking a fair bit of seasoning for me. I'm having some of the leftovers this morning at home two days later and I added more seasoning and it tastes better. Not the best brunch I've had but not terrible. O.M.Goodness!! I've heard others rave about the Cap'n Crunch French toast, so I finally stopped in to try it. I am so upset that I wanted this long, it was excellent! The fruit was fresh, the cream was just the right amount of sweet and the french toast was so crispy it didn't even get soggy when I pour on the syrup. I honestly didn't even need the bacon and eggs that I ordered with it! About the location, the only offer outdoor seating, so there may be a bit of a wait. We even ordered mimosas from White Claw next door and brought them back to enjoy with our brunch. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
