The pizza was alright - not worth $20+ They forgot the dressing with the salad we ordered, there was another couple they were ignored completely and as we were being served they had to come over and ask to be served. Worst bartender and host I have ever dealt with on 3/22/2025 The hours state they are open till 9PM. Got there at 8:35PM and were told we are only going to go food. After an amazing powder day at Vail, we were looking around Lionshead Village for a spot to eat for our party of 9. We ended up at Blue Moon, and we were pleasantly surprised to be seated almost immediately. There were quite a few specialty pizza options to choose from, and you could even mix match specialties on the same pie. Ended up going half n half with a bbq chicken/buffalo chicken pizza. Great place for a mid-day snack between hitting the slopes. The pizza here is really tasty and fresh from the oven. Lots of variety. We wanted to eat here, but the servers/hostesses/whoever had other ideas. It was a busy weekend with the GoPro games but the restaurant had plenty of seating. There was a line at the hostess stand outside of people waiting for someone to come seat them. Five people in front of us left after waiting over 15 minutes for the hostess or a server to come out. One of the two women in front of us went into the restaurant and was told by one of the staff someone would be right out. After waiting another 5 minutes they left. A woman leaving the restaurant said they had to go find someone to seat them. Another person came out and told us "it isn't worth the wait". I went in and saw a server just standing around so I told him to come help people who were waiting and that they've lost customers. He mildly apologized and we left without eating there. Had a very unpleasant experience with their customer service. Our 2 kids wanted to stay longer and do skating in the village, so instead of taking pizza home , we had to feed kids in the restaurant. Surprisingly it cause such an issue for the employees and their manager. They said their own pizza cannot be consumed in the restaurant, even though many tables were empty. First reason they gave me was - servers pay will decrease, I offered to pay extra to the server. Second reason- health code, which also doesn't have such regulations, and is only telling how to prepare food, not how to eat. Yesterday my kid asked if he could join some friends for pizza there, 4 kids were sitting and my son was joining. They asked for the pizza and when my kid got there a very small adult with a very ridiculous mustache started bullying him, very very rude to kids. When he saw me walk in he got scared stepped back and asked me what do I want in the restaurant. He explained that there is no joining in that pizza place. Customer service was terrible at the bar on Monday, January 29th at approximately 1200pm. The guy (I believe he's originally from Michigan or something like that) was INSANELY rude and I believe possibly on drugs. I was trying to order a pizza, and after I politely asked what I would like on my pizza, he said "you're not making any f*cking sense" I was honestly mind blown. Almost seems possibly like a bipolar episode because of the way the mood drastically changed. Also when I was trying to order an IPA he said all the alcohol percentages were inaccurate, and when going to order an IPA that was first on the list, he Rudely interrupted me and said "oh so you want the p*ssy IPA" and I sat there in silence feeling extremely uncomfortable. I had high expectations for this pizza and let me just say I'm glad I gave them a second chance. The pizza is VERY good. I recommend sticking to that with your order! My first visit consisted of chicken wings that didn't wow me. FYI, they don't serve pizza by the slice after a certain time- like 5pm(?) so that might change your mind on what you order. The salads are one size and a big portion, so if you're looking for a slice of pizza and side salad this might not be your place. We were so excited to try a new place on our trip to Colorado to eat and when we showed up we were told there was going to be one server today so the time would take longer than normal-- no problem we understood so we took the wait. When our waiter arrived to our table we light heartedly mentioned "we heard you're a lone ranger today" just to lighten the load and take off the pressure. When going to order, the waiter was continually sarcastic to us. When we asked if he could split the check, he said "ugh, sure... but in the world of venmo and zelle it's really unnecessary".... Are you not a server? Your job is to quite literally make it easier and serve people... would it be better for the customer to be inconvenienced or the people who works at the restaurant?
