Customer service was great over the phone. Food was made accurately. The sauce to the pizza is a little chunky and less desirable than others but the taste was great. This place is small but has very good thin crust pizza and calzones. We have picked up the pizza and dine in. We had the basic pepperoni pizza and make your own calzone. I have also had 10" Welcome to the club pizza and it was very tasty. The service was fast and basketball playoffs were on the TV. The prices are reasonable for Vail. read more

One of the best veggie pizzas I have had (as others have also reported!) The crust was thin in the middle and had the chewy artisan edge that we all love. This small bar sells pizza and sandwiches. We stopped by for sandwiches on the way to Glenwood springs. While waiting, the pizza I saw others eating looked goood. The sandwiches were delicious. I ordered one with chicken and I'd order it again if I was in the area. I'd also consider the Italian slices as that's what my partner ordered. They accommodate for both take away and pick up so be sure to call ahead of you're stopping by like we did. My only concern is that I wished they labeled the sandwiches we ordered. read more

Absolutely loved Local Joes! The two guys (I wish I'd gotten their names) were so nice! Food was great! We had a Roma salad, some tater tots and Mac and cheese bites, pepperoni mushroom pizza, prolly cheese sandwich and tiramisu! We were the only ones there, my husband, almost 2 year old and I. Guys were super friendly, food was so good and glad we took their advice on food options. We didn't drink bc I'm pregnant but there was plenty of beer and booze choices, bottled and fountain soda options. They carry red bull not monster (my husband is a Monster fanatic lol) and had outdoor and indoor seating. The patio has a gondola which my toddler loved to play in, and several low tables to sit at. Inside there are 4-5 long tables, mostly high tops and a low one. There's seating at the bar itself and 1 booth in the back corner that would be good to have drinks at but probably not as comfortable to eat dinner at. We found it off of maps and so so so glad we went bc overall it's been our favorite experience since being in Vail. When we paid the bill, it was someone different at the bar which sucked bc I really wanted to thank the other guys who were doing other things, 1 delivering and 1 in the back the guy said. Happened across this little joint while we were staying just up the hill. We walked down to the restaurant as it wasn't too cold out. We got some drinks and ordered our food to go. The atmosphere is very much like a dive bar with a dark mysterious ambience. The food came out rather quickly. We ordered just a standard pizza with pepperonis as well as the cheese bread. When we got home everything was piping hot. The food was delicious and now that I'm over 1,000 miles away I would love to have another slice. It wasn't too greasy of a pizza at all. The flavors were so good. I recommend this place if you are staying within the vicinity. read more

(No delivery driver !) and they say it will be 7 more minutes. 7 mins later - another 7 Next thing they are cooking it in their Convection oven. 7 mins later . We have "No" pizza ! This place is GREAT! We were looking for somewhere outside of vail village for pizza and found this one. Forewarning! It is a small joint, so there isn't much seating inside (there is outdoor seating for the warmer weather). So either be prepared to stand or wait for a table if it's busy (or order take out!) We were lucky enough to beat the dinner rush, and got a table for a group of 8 of us. The service was fantastic, very attentive and on top of things especially considering that there was one gal running the bar/ordering of food. We ordered the meat lovers pizza, the supreme pizza, the veggie pizza, buffalo wings, and Thai wings. Everything was so delicious and flavorful! Will definitely be back! Absolute worst pizza delivery I've ever had without exaggeration. The pizza restaurant was next door to our condo building, within walking distance. We ordered 1 large pizza, 2 cheese breads, fried macaroni bites, a 6 pack of beer, and a sprite. Our food took 1 1/2 hours to show up and was stone cold when it finally got here. Not lukewarm warm or "not quite hot", but "I left pizza on the counter over night" cold. The "cheese bread" is not bread at all but a personal pizza cooked to a burnt crisp, and the pizza was equally overcooked. Neither the beer nor the sprite even showed up. When we called to complain, they were happy to refund us the drinks we never actually received and 1 of the cheese breads. This food may have been decent an hour and a half ago but it is appalling now. If they can't deliver hot food, don't offer delivery. read more

Me and my husband are on vacation in Vail and we ate here this past Saturday night as the pizzeria that had been suggested to us was closed 2 hours earlier than it's posted time. We Googled pizza and found this place. We thought Local Joe's was great! The pizza and cheese curds were delicious The bartender/ server was very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is definitely bar vibes with a lot of the folks there being locals..... it seemed.....everyone seemed chil and there to have a nice time. The prices are good for the area for sure. A bit expensive and not great, $20 plus change for a 10" speciality pizza ($14), delivered, including their $3 dollar delivery fee and a $3 tip for the driver and not very generous toppings included. But the pizza was pretty warm when delivered and delivered in the window they said it would be (30 minutes). This was about 4:30 pm on a Monday in late summer, so it seems like delivery problems are related to rush times and seasons. We tried the bbq chicken pizza and it didn't have much chicken. Crust was pleasantly chewy and crunchy, not much notable about it. A good pizza, not great and not bad. Probably would try other delivery options given the value, but not against having this again sometime. read more

My kids shared the pizza and chicken parm sandwich...and it was really good according to them. All 3 of us are pizza connoisseurs - they are from Seattle and I am from the central coast of California just north of Santa Barbara, so we know pizza. The new chef has refined the crisp flavorful crust to perfection; the sauce was delicious; and the veggies were fresh and tasty! It looked like something you'd find at the supermarket--not the amount of toppings you would expect from a so called "supreme" pizza. There was also very little sauce on the pizza.
