It didn't have any sauce... there was a heavy layer of cheese which wasn't great. There were a handful of tomatoes. Margherita I expect a balanced pie with good sauce base. The staff were friendly enough when picking up and the space is small good for pickup or delivery. The pizza is not my favorite giving it two stars because the people were kind and they were the only thing open at night. read more

after boycotting the popular pizza place in Avon their absolutely horrible treatment of me and other guests that I've observed. I've been frequenting all of the other pizza establishments in the valley this year. We recently tried pizza one in Avon after great experiences at Gondola Pizza (Avon), Marko's (Edwards) and Il Mago (Edwards). Pizza One has a great online ordering system and understand they have multiple locations, but this is the only one we've tried so far. We ordered online through the site and picked it up at their location near Walmart and Home Depot in East Avon. The pizza was very good. A generous amount of toppings and cheese and a delicious crust. Our order was ready when promised and we didn't receive any nastiness the popular local Avon pizza, places dish out. To the contrary, the server greeted me with a smile, was courteous, and thanked me with a smile. Didn't even mind that my Doodle was tethered to the front door when I ran into to pick up my pie. Awesome options for those gluten free, dairy free, and intone looking for lighter pizza option. They offer vegan sausage, vegan cheese, cauliflower crust ( not dairy free), and GF crust. We got the GF crust and vegan cheese on half the pizza. The crust was perfect! It held up to the toppings and cheese and did not crumble with each bite. The vegan cheese was excellent and the perfect amount was used. We ordered delivery to our hotel room in Beaver Creek and the food was delivered exactly at the time predicted during my online checkout. Couldn't have been any easier! Best gluten free, diary free pizza I have had! It was actually, like, really good! If you've had gluten free, diary free pizza's before, you know that most taste absolutely awful. To be honest, I didn't even want pizza for dinner, and was bracing myself for your typical gluten free, diary free pizza, but I was in for a treat and really glad I tried it! I ordered the gluten free, diary free, egg free crust, with vegan cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and olives. I also got a side of sauce. I placed my order online. After I placed my order, the website said my pizza would be ready in 22 minutes. I really don't know if I arrived early, late, or right on time, but my pizza was ready when I got there. The man behind the counter was very nice and upbeat. He helped me right away. After I paid and got the pizza in my car, I had to open it and sneak a peak (it smelled amazing).....it looked fantastic, just full of veggies!! I got home and opened the pizza, it was still hot. I had two slices and it was fantastic. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat a third, but am excited for leftover pizza later. The gluten free crust was thin and crispy. I am glad I had the extra sauce to dip it in. I will return the next time I am in Vail. PS. Are you kidding me?!?! Talk about delivery performance; they must employ an F1 driver to operate the car and a sprinter to run the hallways of Beaver Creek's hotels with your meal. Ordered two pizzas, bread, mozzarella sticks, a salad. This was 6pm the week after Christmas when Beaver Creek is insanely busy with every property running at capacity. We were in the furthest possible room you can have at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek; top floor, last room on the floor at the edge of the building. It had been snowing for seven days straight and the roads were questionable. The food showed up in 45 minutes to our hotel room door! It was good on top of that! The drive from them to the Hyatt alone is ~14 minutes, and walking the floor from the elevator at normal pace is another three; wow! Want more? We placed the order on their website without even having to bother through the time waste of a phone call. It gave us a time slot for the order. It gave us 5% off for paying cash, which beats my 2% credit card rebate. That is how you do it! read more

I didn't love Pizza One and crossed them off of the list of potential return visits. I ordered a chicken, feta and pesto pizza, salad and garlic wings. It was all very average. Average is the kiss of death when you are surrounded by so many really great restaurants. The pizza and wings were delivered lukewarm. This was more of a problem for the pizza. It zapped all of the flavor out of the finished product and left the crust overly chewy and near tasteless. The wings were wrapped in foil and looked like they were cooked long before I ordered them. The meat fell from the bones and needed the abundance of sauce to add moisture and revive them. read more

Pizza One is a gem hidden in a strip mall by the Wal Mart in Avon. It's not fancy or pretentious, just a great takeout pizza joint. They have online ordering or you can call them. We got the American Pizza (mushrooms, pepperoni, extra cheese and sausage) which was fantastic. This is the place to get pizza! What makes this place different is the sauce they use when making pizza and the dough. The sauce almost has a sweet taste to it. The location it self is pretty small. A large table and a small eating section up against the wall for more people to come in and eat. The staff is extremely friendly they also give you plates to use when eating inside. As for the drivers these guys are funny. I haven't used the delivery service but when we are eating inside they always smile and make jokes with people inside. The only draw back is the bathroom is in another part of the building. Other then that this is where you take your friends to eat pizza. One word to describe this meal- dry. We ordered a few pizzas for the family and overall were underwhelmed. We got an XL bbq chicken pizza, an XL supreme pizza, a gluten free veggie pizza, hot chicken wings and bbq chicken wings. Our food was delivered promptly and was still warm when it reached us. The pizza all has thin crust and good quality ingredients but they all felt dry- I think the core problem is with their crust recipe. The supreme pizza especially felt as if it was lacking enough sauce. The bbq pizza had more sauce and was better but couldn't make up for the dryness of the crust. I didn't try the gluten free pizza but I didn't hear any complaints about it. The bbq chicken wings were decent with bbq sauce drizzled over their oven baked wings. And the hot wings were some kind of dry rub, further contributing to the dryness of the meal. Overall I was pretty disappointed with this meal. I'd be willing to eat the wings again but will definitely pass on the pizza unless they revamp their crust recipe. read more

Ordered over $50 worth of food and after an hour and a half I called to find out the food hadn't even been picked up by the delivery service yet (would have been nice to receive notice from the business earlier). I offered to pick up the food myself and had a chat with Tony, the owner to try and figure out a solution. After I rejected his insistence I pay extra on top of what I was already charged he rudely added-- "you're not eating here tonight, go to domino's or something" and hung up on me. It seems he aggressively combs over these reviews and refutes any negative feedback with disdain.
