I stumbled upon this food truck on my way to the food event. The Lao burger was absolutely bomb! I really liked the texture and seasoning. The service was wholesome also. Highly recommend! I'll def come back again.

They offer a great menu and friendly service. If you are looking for a bite to eat, you can find them around town - typically in the Redwood City to Belmont areas. Check out their schedule to see where they are at! For those of you who need a caterer, or get catering for your office or host events on the Peninsula, I highly recommend you reach out to Thiri. She will partner with you to create a great event with a menu and service to fit your needs. Top notch service, great prices and food quality. IYKYK ;)

Tried their food truck pop up event and it seriously delivered. The double patty smash burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and had those perfect crispy edges with grilled onions on top. The truffle Parmesan fries were crispy, well-seasoned! Portion sizes were generous for the price, and the staff was really friendly and fast. Easily one of the best values I've had from a food truck. Can't wait to see more menu items in the future. Hope they pop up again soon!

Both food was service was amazing. I got my food pretty fast. My favorite is the coconut noodles soup and tea leaf salad. The Laos smash burger was fire and my son loves it! (I forgot to take a picture of it)

Super tasty food and service! Thiri, chef D and their team serves up a fresh take on smash burgers. The Lao burger and chicken satay were soooo tasty! Will definitely be finding them again! The chicken satay (so succulent!) and fries were baby approved!

Always a great experience! And it's a blast just to have a conversation while I wait for my food 10/10!!

The eggplant we got was also insanely flavorful and well-seasoned, and I would get this again in a heartbeat. The minty jalapeno chicken made me want to try to recreate this dish at home. I love anything with mint in it, and I love anything with jalapenos in it. Put them together, and it's a combo made in heaven. The spring rolls were also very good, but pretty standard, so it's not a must-try, but they're great if you're craving something deep fried and crispy. Omg, the coconut rice. I'd never really had coconut rice like this before despite growing up around Asian food, and I've had dreams about eating this again. We doordashed everything for our most recent meal and even though quality can sometimes suffer when you're having something delivered (or even when you're getting takeout), every dish was so incredible. I can't wait for our next meal from Burma Spice - in fact, I think I might doordash it again for lunch tomorrow!

It was the right amount of saltiness and it wasn't super super strong. My spouse said this is one of the better tea leaf salads that we have tried in the area. I tried a coconut curry chicken dish and thought it was fine. Flavor was good, but the dish was only chicken curry (sauce) but no vegetables or any other thing inside the dish. It did feel a little one note! Service was good! They were nice!

We had a variety of veggie dishes: the yellow pea fried tofu is a must have: the chili sauce it comes with understated, and the "tofu" slices themselves melt in your mouth like custard, unlike any tofu we've had. The son of the original owner has now reopened full service back in MP. Their shop sign hadn't been approved yet by the city fathers, so it was a little tricky to find, but when we did, we had a delicious lunch. Here's what we ate: Duck Garlic Noodle 4.5*, $19.99 duck meat with springy egg noodles, tossed in garlic pepper sauce. with melted cheese, bean sprouts, and lots of garlic: A lot like chow mein, but the noodles have a great chew. Lots of delicious duck pieces. The only draw back for me was that the melted cheese was out of place. I don't know if it is traditional or not. Assam Aubergine Malay 5*, $21.99 Grilled Chinese eggplant topped with hot-and-sour tamarind sauce. This was excellent. I think it was grilled because there was a great smoky background note. Crispy Tofu 5* , $17.99 crispy tofu, Shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and scallion sauce. Our favorite of the lunch. Very earthy, but a bit sweet and salty. Flavor combination that's unique and difficult to describe. The kitchen's timing was a little off, so sometimes they were slow and sometimes fast, but they're just getting their sea legs and we weren't in a hurry. All the servers were very pleasant and the owner came out to talk to us. Menlo Park is a good halfway point for me to meet people from the South Bay. We will be back.
