I stumbled upon this food truck on my way to the food event. The Lao burger was absolutely bomb! I really liked the texture and seasoning. The service was wholesome also. Highly recommend! I'll def come back again.

They offer a great menu and friendly service. If you are looking for a bite to eat, you can find them around town - typically in the Redwood City to Belmont areas. Check out their schedule to see where they are at! For those of you who need a caterer, or get catering for your office or host events on the Peninsula, I highly recommend you reach out to Thiri. She will partner with you to create a great event with a menu and service to fit your needs. Top notch service, great prices and food quality. IYKYK ;)

Tried their food truck pop up event and it seriously delivered. The double patty smash burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and had those perfect crispy edges with grilled onions on top. The truffle Parmesan fries were crispy, well-seasoned! Portion sizes were generous for the price, and the staff was really friendly and fast. Easily one of the best values I've had from a food truck. Can't wait to see more menu items in the future. Hope they pop up again soon!

Super tasty food and service! Thiri, chef D and their team serves up a fresh take on smash burgers. The Lao burger and chicken satay were soooo tasty! Will definitely be finding them again! The chicken satay (so succulent!) and fries were baby approved!

Both food was service was amazing. I got my food pretty fast. My favorite is the coconut noodles soup and tea leaf salad. The Laos smash burger was fire and my son loves it! (I forgot to take a picture of it)

The eggplant we got was also insanely flavorful and well-seasoned, and I would get this again in a heartbeat. The minty jalapeno chicken made me want to try to recreate this dish at home. I love anything with mint in it, and I love anything with jalapenos in it. Put them together, and it's a combo made in heaven. The spring rolls were also very good, but pretty standard, so it's not a must-try, but they're great if you're craving something deep fried and crispy. Omg, the coconut rice. I'd never really had coconut rice like this before despite growing up around Asian food, and I've had dreams about eating this again. We doordashed everything for our most recent meal and even though quality can sometimes suffer when you're having something delivered (or even when you're getting takeout), every dish was so incredible. I can't wait for our next meal from Burma Spice - in fact, I think I might doordash it again for lunch tomorrow!

We found metered street parking about a block away, but I would give yourself at least 15 minutes to find a spot. The area was pretty busy on a Thursday evening. Having said that, Mingalaba is probably the most authentic Asian restaurant I've eaten at so far. You can there that there's no shortcuts with the dishes, nothing is watered down, everything is just real. The coconut chicken soup is something out of this world. It's not spicy at all. I can't describe it but it was really delicious, as with all the other dishes. The service was amazing and they even amended some of our dishes so that we could feed it to our kid (non-spicy). I really like this restaurant. Only such a shame we live so far now and only just discovered it. I'd visit again if I'm around.

I'd rank their flavors ever slightly better than other Burmese restaurants I've been to in the Bay Area. But their salad portion size felt like 1/8 of other places'. For hot dishes, about 1/2-1/3. Just cannot justify the price. What I liked: both aforementioned salads, samosa soup, curries. What I didn't like: house special noodles. Extremely bland. The service was lacking too. Also it felt like they wanted us to leave as soon as we finished. I was considering ordering a few more dishes (because, duh, I was still hungry due to the surprisingly small portions). But they brought us the check already; we were still eating! This was a workday lunch. They're almost full but still have available tables and no one's waiting. What's the rush?

For the kids, we ordered the sesame chicken and plain garlic noodles, and they genuinely could not stop raving about the food between bites. My 10-year-old officially declared Burma Love her new favorite restaurant, and of course, her 5-year-old brother immediately had to confirm that he agreed. I ordered the tea leaf salad and samosa soup for myself. The samosa soup was absolutely fabulous--rich, flavorful, and so satisfying--and the tea leaf salad was lovely as well. Everything we ordered was delicious, and finding a restaurant that both I AND my kids are this excited about is always a win. We will absolutely be back. Easily a 10/10!

Parking for this location was very difficult, especially when you visit on a busy day. The atmosphere is moody and dark which is perfect for a date night. I ordered - Burma Chicken Mint - Nan Pia Dok - Tea leaf salad We started off with the tea salad since it was highly suggested by our waiter. I love the amount of toppings they add onto the salad and having it served table side is even better. For the salad, it was more savory and the flavor was light which helped bring out the salad more; which is a positive. The Nan Pia Dok noodles were also served table side and honestly, this was good but not quite extraordinary. Eventually halfway, the noodles lost its flavor and just felt like stir fried noodles with toppings. This was also more of a savory dish. The Burma Chicken Mint dish was also somewhat delicious but fell short towards the end as it tasted exactly what it looks like. It's not bad but does get boring fast. If you love spicy food then I highly recommend getting this; otherwise it's not really for me. The service is honestly top notch, can't really complain when the person serving you the salad is extremely friendly which breaks the awkward silence every now and then. Overall, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes as I'm venturing into newer territory, and honestly that's okay. The service and food was decent enough for me to give it another chance. The salad was honestly the best thing to get here.

There was plenty of seating inside and outside, and because it was chilly and my friends and I hadn't dressed for the weather, we opted for inside seating, where we were placed in a booth. Between the 4 of us we ordered: - Roti palatha and chicken curry dip: delicious chicken curry with flaky roti - Fried salt and pepper calamari: similar to a Chinese restaurant style calamari, big chunks of squid, a lot of breading - Burma Taste House noodles with beef: kind of like pad thai, slightly different - Shrimp kebat: tomato forward shrimp dish with veggies, a bit spicy - Minty jalapeño chicken: So tasty, I love this dish at Burmese restaurants - Pork Belly with mustard greens: I was hoping they would be fried and crispy like the menu said, but it was just pork pieces. The mustard greens were delicious though! - Coconut rice: a must, I love the fragrant coconut and the extra oomph it adds to the rice - House lemonade: refreshing and cooling, cucumber-y lemonade They were all so tasty and generously portioned. I would've maybe opted out of the calamari next time (just because it wasn't something super special, but there were a lot of it!) and chosen the Burmese dishes. Everything was very flavorful and I'd return to try more of their menu items. We had a lot of leftovers as well.
