They had a good variety of options like burgers, fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, tacos, chili, mac and cheese, and more. Overall, I had a really good first experience. I don't even typically like barbecue and I LOVED this! Now for the long details. So I've done quite a few meal prep delivery/pickup services. The first thing I absolutely love about this one is that they will pack your food in your own containers if you want. I hate accumulating a million Tupperware and even the best services with the compostable containers get delivered in big cardboard boxes with freezer packs. This is a real win for me, as the consumer, and for the environment. Kudos! Onto the food! The menu is very enticing, with 3-4 entrees, 2-3 sides, a couple salads, and dessert, plus a juice shot and a drink. Also, they have kids meals! Love that journey for me as I hate to cook and have an 8 month old who will need real food soon lol. Hubs and I got Cajun shrimp and polenta, smoked chicken with cauliflower Mac n cheese, the burrata appetizer, the beet salad, bread pudding, corn bread, and a "hot shot" (apple, Serrano pepper, turmeric). There wasn't a single thing I didn't think was less than amazing. The beet salad - a simple salad of beets, arugula, avocado, goat cheese, tomato, and balsamic glaze - featured sweet beets with a slight crunch (not overly soft) that matched perfectly with the creaminess of the avocado, and tang of the cheese and balsamic. The burrata was a good size serving of very fresh, soft, creamy burrata balls paired with toasted acme bread. Sounds really simple right? One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth! *drool* Ok, now for the entrees. I have had shrimp and polenta in many restaurants and let me tell you. This was better. Hands down. I do not know what was in or on the shrimp. They were amazing! Cooked perfectly, no fishy taste (hate when that happens), and with a bit of spice. I could literally eat this every day. I would turn into a shrimp for this dish. My husband loves bbq and fancies himself a bit of a connoisseur. He wasn't even ready for how good that chicken was! He still can't stop talking about how juicy and flavorful it was, and wondering how they cooked it. I don't usually like BBQ-ed meats because they can be really dry. This was the opposite. Super tender, excellent flavor, and the white BBQ sauce that came with it (I drizzled it on in the pic) was out of this world! Like ranch dressing's southern cousin. I know cauliflower can be anything these days (I mean, follow your dreams, am I right?) but that doesn't mean it should be anything (pizza crust, anyone?). This cauliflower, however, found its calling in the form of one of the best Mac and cheeses. Even had a crispy little top. You go cauliflower! The cornbread was dangerously addicting. Not too sweet, not too crumbly, perfect consistency and paired nicely with both the chicken and the shrimp dishes. Last, but absolutely in no way least, the bread pudding and hot shot. The hot shot was hot. She was fire. She was health with a side of slap in the face. That shot would cure COVID, probably (I am not a doctor), and it would definitely clear your sinuses! And the bread pudding was the perfect finish, although I note that the site says it's great for breakfast. Hey, I ain't mad at it. It's an excellent source of carbs and (probably) protein, since chocolate has milk in it, right? Anyway, it's bomb.
