Great massage wonderful, I was a few days postpartum and the swelling in my stomach and legs was driving me nuts. They were so gentle and really made the aches and pains go away, moved the fluid through and made me feel so much better. Within a couple days the swelling was gone. Exactly what I needed and jump started my recovery. My boyfriend works a physical job and had a lot of knots and sore spots they worked the knots out of his back stretched him and he felt a lot better and you could see the difference in his back. The BF and I went today to check out Blue Ocean. I wish I could give more than 2 stars but the woman behind the counter was very pushy and the massage was just average. We had never been there so we wanted to look at all the options. Instead of giving us a minute and letting us look at the choices, the woman behind the counter kept pointing to the 90 minute massage. So annoying. We both opted for the 1/2 hour just to try it out. They put us in the same room, gave him a female masseuse and me a male masseuse which was fine But then, the man guy that was giving me a massage had a runny nose. Instead of taking a second to address the issue, he kept sniffling the whole time he rubbed me. Listen to boogers is not relaxing. For my massage, I had told my masseuse to please concentrate on my right shoulder. He did not until I reminded him several times. He also didn't rub my head or feet and the way he rubbed me was not what I am used to. He used his forearms a lot and the side of his palm. I am used to licensed massage therapists that use their fingers more than their forearms or the side of their hands. Several times during my 30 minutes their business phone rang, not quietly. Listening to phones ring and the subsequent convo is not relaxing. When we were done, I went to pay and the pushy woman said, "You no have cash?" I paid $80 with my card and was about to turn to BF to get cash from him for the tip, and the pushy woman showed me my credit card receipt and asked me where the tip was. That did it. I am normally a good tipper but that pushy woman was such a bee, I just walked out. I won't be back. read more

I'm from Santa Barbara and see an amazing (and expensive) therapist once a week and I have been in Yucca for the last month taking care of my friends dogs. So I was feeling VERY tight and sore. Well, I would drive here twice a month just to get a massage from the therapists at this salon. I have also since been back with my husband, who came to visit me, and he agreed. He is a very big guy, 6'7 and most people don't "get in there" enough for him. He left the salon even taller! I have severe hip leg, knee and ankle issues on my right side. Without me saying a word, they dove right in to that area and straightened me right out. I haven't felt this balanced in a long time. If you're looking for the best massage you've ever had at the most reasonable price I've ever seen. Stop looking. You already found it. Oh! And did I mention I just walked-in?! Horrible service woman running the front after my massage. Very demanding and threatening that I use their ATM to get money to give a tip. They wouldn't let me use my card to pay for the massage she just shouted "cash better!") This place is $20 too expensive. They charge $80 for a 60 minute massage? Even though on their menu it says $69 and I asked for that one and they said no. This lady was extremely rude and threatening even shouting "give me another card!" because she couldn't figure out how to run my card ( or didn't try because it costs them $ ) They didn't give any water after the massage and charged $80 for 60 minutes, never coming back and never recommending. My boyfriend and I came to Joshua tree for a little getaway this past weekend and last minute decided we wanted to treat ourselves to a massage since it had been over a year due to COVID. This place was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The business itself was super clean and COVID compliment. The massage therapists and us kept our masks on the whole time which definitely helped me feel more relaxed and comfortable going in. The massage experience itself was absolutely wonderful as well. My boyfriend and I got the combo massage with hot stones. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. The massage therapists seem to be really knowledgeable and experienced. I'm sad to say that my second time coming here was a huge disappointment. I should have asked for Leo. The woman who massaged me was very unstructured and unorganized. I asked repeatedly for a deeper massage but she would go deep for a minute and then switch back to very light half hazard fast-paced rubs. There was no correlation between the massage that was given on the left side and the one on the right. Nothing felt like it matched or was balanced, and if felt like she was distracted and not really trying to get any knots out. I'm so disappointed because last time the massage from Leo was so good! This one has made me not want to come back. It's a nice place overall, with a nice ambiance, but the pillow that wrapped around my face in the massage table was a very rough terry towel and uncomfortable. If you go here, I recommend bringing your own pillow or towel so that you're not uncomfortable the entire massage. read more

Made a special weekend birthday trip from SF with my boyfriend and booked a 2 person appointment. The day of our appointment, we called to confirm and possibly push the time to only find out that they cancelled our appointment the day before. The lady on the phone claimed they called me the day before but left no message. As I expressed a reschedule, she yelled "have a good day, byeeee" and hung up. Worst experience and felt like I was to blame for my appointment being cancelled. Update: less than 24 hours later, I get a call from a random number which has called me 3-4 times in the last 30 minutes as I'm traveling back home. I was able to call back a few minutes later and was shocked to get immediately get yelled at by the business owner for not picking up my phone and saying it was my fault for not picking up my phone the other day to get notified about my missed appointment. The business owner used her personal cell phone to call me 3-4 times this morning along with text messages ... this is harassment! I came here as a last minute walk in and was able to get in fast. I even asked for a specific masseuse named Leo through recommendation from a friend. He did an amazing job and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I will definitely be going back here many times. Pretty good. We go to many Chinese massage shops and want to avoid the creepy ones. This one felt good and not creepy. The front lobby area is decorated a bit kitschy, the massage rooms are more simple and streamlined. They had 2 therapists available as almost a walk in (we called and they could take us 5 minutes later). The prices were a tad higher than in Palm Springs, OC, SD, & LA. 60 minutes was $79. They want you to pay ahead of time, then tip after your massage. They do take cards, but you pay a $4 fee for the card. Both of our massages were good, enough so that we will return. read more
