My wife and I stopped in today to eat. The staff seemed not to care if we were there or not. My wife ordered a beef and crab dish. The beef was tough and the "crab" was actually imitation crab meat. It was not listed that way on the menu. I ordered salmon and rice. The salmon was delicious, but the rice was undercooked and tough. The Asian Cole slaw was good. We shared a piece of triple chocolate cake which was very good. Almost every question we asked was met with a blank stare. There are too many other good places to eat in this area to bother stopping here. read more

Great food... amazing actually. Very good price for what you get! Only the staff isn't very well trained I guess. She sat us down, we both asked for waters and It took a while. Got our food no silverware. We asked for some and she said sure and left. Came back and snatched the water from the table and left . Almost done with our food using chopsticks and we had to stop her and ask for the utensils again while she was walking table to table to visit people she knew I guess. After standing at our table and talking to her she finally puts her phone in her sweater pocket then addresses us and said "sorry" then left and we FINALLY got our utensils. I like this place for lunch. dinner is a bit pricey. I get the small lunch bowl. it dosnt look like much but you do not put your rice or noodles in there. Love the spicy sauce. Cooks and Servers allways nice and prompt with drink refills. overall good place to switch it up for lunch. read more

This is my FAVORITE restaurant. I saw a review that said portion sizes are small...but you get to choose your items and portions. I always go home full, with leftovers that are just as good reheated. Staff is always friendly and the family that owns the place couldn't be nicer. Love it! read more

I thought that's how it went until I noticed she was giving menus to all the other people that walked in. I was confused, didn't know if we had to ask for one or what. The first time i came here i had an amazing experience and food was amazing. But this time i Had a horrible experience just by walking in. It's my second time dining here so initially I'm still getting the hang of the 'routine' so to say. An older middle age woman approached my friend and i and asked 'can i help you' i told her it's two of us & she rudely replied 'for here or are u ordering to go' so we asked for a bigger table in the corner to avoid traffic and she replied 'it's just the two of you' my friend replied 'yes, and we'd like the corner booth' (there was a total of 3 tables occupied, not busy AT ALL) well she basically had an attitude about that also.. her attitude was clear as day & she didn't even TRY to hide it. Also, i was unaware i had to keep my mask on even while at table waiting for food & she rudely & loudly told me i had to keep it on.. basically she is horrible. But Nicole was amazing & unfortunately had to apologize on the older middle aged lady's behalf for her being extremely rude. I take it it is not her first time treating guests this way? Anyway, if dining here i would definitely avoid the middle aged lady. I believe her name is Liz. Other then that food does taste amazing. I'll read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. You can't go wrong when you are choosing everything you are going to eat. You can pile the bowls high with veggies, meat and seafood. Pick your own sauce and watch it being cooked. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner. read more

Blue pacific is a pretty standard "Mongolian barbecue" (AKA "Mongolian grill") joint, but if you don't know what that is, think of it as a "create your own stir fry" joint. You get a bowl and go up to a buffet-style counter with meats, veggies, seasonings, etc. You can add all of the above in any combination you like, and then give it to a "grill master" to cook it on a big flat-top grill for you. After cooking they combine it with your choice of starch (various rice and noodles) and sauce. I have some complaints, but let me start off by saying that I really liked my meal. I chose to go with a mix of vegetables with sirloin tips and udon noodles covered in honey garlic soy sauce. That sauce was fantastic and, for the most part, everything tasted great. (It is nice that they have small sample spoons next to the selection of sauces, so you can try them all before deciding.) My only complaint about the food itself was that my beef was a bit tough and chewy; probably due to being poor quality meat (and not sufficiently tenderized) or it was just overcooked. Unfortunately, they cook everything well-done, probably because people often mix chicken with beef and other combinations where it needs to be cooked through for safety. But again, all in all, my food was quite tasty. However, I had some problems with the restaurant facility itself. I don't want to use the word "dirty", but the entire buffet and cooking area (including floors, counters, sauce dispensers, you-name-it) was just plain messy. Not filthy, as in dirt, but food items and sauces were everywhere, and it was frankly kind of gross. And it wasn't the customers being messy either; it was the employees slopping the ingredients everywhere. My sauce of choice was out of the dispenser, so an employee took off the top, dripping sauce everywhere, and proceeded to dump a bunch of sauce into the reservoir without any attempt to keep it from getting all over the counter. He plopped the top back on and left the saucing oozing all over the counter. Apparently that had been done about a half dozen times already because the whole sauce area was a complete mess. In fact, I saw no less than THREE employees slip on sauce behind the counter, to the point of one actually going down, and two catching themselves on the counter halfway down. Speaking of sauces, one of the sauces I wanted to try was gone and the entire dispenser was removed altogether, so I'm guessing they were totally out. That was disappointing. The floors had bits of food strewn about, as did the meat and veggie area. I've been to plenty of buffets, so I know it is possible to keep a buffet area clean despite messy customers. I have to imagine that they weren't even trying to keep up. The grill area was likewise a disaster. Food was often falling off the grill onto the surrounding shelf and floor, as well as sauces, resulting in a unappetizing, sticky mess. We we're there at 6:00pm on a Saturday, and it didn't get really busy until 6:30-7:00pm, so I can't imagine what it would look like at the end of a night. Another annoyance was that their seasoning selection was almost completely depleted. There was a mere eighth- to quarter-inch or less of the seasonings in each shaker, and the labels were worn to boot. It just added to the overall feel of neglect. I'm hoping that I caught them on a bad night. My first impression was less than appetizing, but as I said before, I ended up enjoying my meal despite the debacle that preceded it. The atmosphere was WAY more casual than I had hoped (I thought we were going somewhere "fancier"), and the sloppiness just added to my overall disappointment with the atmosphere. Having said all that, I enjoyed my meal enough that I would definitely like to go back. I think they deserve a second chance. I'm just hoping they do a better job with the cleaning next time. This would be an awesome place if they would just get their act together. read more

Food is fine since you make it yourself and the waitstaff was attentive, but the place is not very clean (sticky surfaces) and they make you wait for the meal to cook rather than having your waiter bring it to table when it's done. (It would have been nice to go through the line to select ingredients then go sit and enjoy a drink while it cooked.) This place is my dream come true. It had everything that I love. I've eaten at hibachi restaurants before, but this place takes the cake. I walked in and told the waiter that I had never eaten there before. He explained everything very well. They give you a good size metal bowl, you walk up to the huge table of items, and fill that bowl with anything and everything they got! They give you so many options to choose from. Any vegetable you can think of, chicken, pork, salmon, crawfish, shrimp, beef, crab, scallops, and more. Also, they have 12 different sauces to choose from. I went with the 'Honey Garlic Soy'. Very good. Then you walk over to the grillmaster and tell him if you want rice, udon noodles, or short, spiral noodles. Needless to say, the end result is amazing. I'm a serious eater, so I was able to finish the whole thing. But I think most people could make two meals out of it. Definitely recommend Blue Pacific Grill !! read more

This was about the worst restaraunt experience I have ever had. We entered at about 3:15 pm Sat. No other customers were there. that should have been a clue, but it was quite late for lunch and I was hungry. First the hostess assumes we've been there before and want the buffet. No. We haven't been there before. her explanation of how to do the buffet was inadequate. So we ordered off the menu. mistake #1 I will take blame for. I ordered fish tacos, and missed the part about habanera sauce. it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I also ordered coffee. We were not offered water. So I sent back the fish tacos and ordered a salad with chicken after being reassured that it wouldn't be spicy. They came out with fried rice with chicken. Not what I ordered. I had to ask for water and a coffee refill y now my husband was finished with his order of fish tacos (he didn't like the sloppiness of the over abundant sauce, but he could tolerate the heat level) and fried rice. Finally out came the salad. I had to ask for silverware. The salad was horrible. All the ingredients, visually mango, edamame, peppers, and chicken, were drenched in some kind of sweet sauce. It was so strong that everything tasted the same. I coul not even taste the Asian dressing that came wit the salad. I. Addition, the fried stuff was hot and really sloppy, which wilted the lettuce completely. I ate as much of this gunk as I could because we had spent an hour in the restraunt by now and I was really hungry. Don took his leftover fried rice home I. A box. I tried it the next day. it was also drenched in the same sweet sauce! YUCK. read more

I took one bite of the dish didn't touch the rest and went and got a pizza the waitress asked me if I did not like the food , I explained to her it was terrible she didn't even offer to comp the check 30 bucks for two plates of food that I could've gotten at a China buffet for 7 bucks needless toI will not be returning to that place ever again read more

First time there, walked in the place is pretty empty. Lots of tables, but not very many people there. I was hoping for something better, but decided to try it. Looked over the menu and decided the Blue Pacific Signature Salad with steak sounded great. Placed my order and it came out within a reasonable time. The meal looked great, very nice presentation. The dressing was good and mixed well with all the other flavors, the steak was tough, and chewy. Would have preferred a different cooking method for this cut. A nice slow roast and then finish it with a quick trip across the grill. I was asked about desert which I turned down. My waitress was Rana and she was pleasant but barely really checked on me. Not sure how many tables she was covering, but it did not seem like it was that many. The last part is the main reason for the low score, menu prices was listed as one price. When the bill came out it was not the menu price. Now I understand things fluctuate, but I would think this has not been around that long. Give me what I order, for the price listed on the menu and make it taste great. I drive by this place twice a week, pretty doubtful I would encourage anyone I know to go there, and not super likely to stop in again myself. read more

ok, first things first!!! Blue Pacific grill his by far one of the best hidden restaurants in toledo... if you don't know anything about it and you are out shopping for the day, you need to stop in and get a bowl... this is the greatest Mongolian BBQ I've ever had... i come all the way from San Diego, CA to get Blue Pacific. just they way they have FRESH vegetables and meats that are always being checked on to see if they are getting low. then their sauces, OMG!!!! one of my friends is the Director of Operations there and they will ship you some of the sauces for a very cheap price... its really cool to watch the chefs cook your food for you and you can choose if you want noodles, white rice, fried rice, you can even add egg, peanuts and sesame seeds. even better yet, if you have a food allergy they'll cook your food in the back from what I've been told. this place is amazing for the food quality and price... a great $10 lunch and you more then likely will ask for a to go box... i just wish they would expand to California!!! thanks Blue Pacific for always being great!!! oh and not to bash BD's BBQ, but really!!! BD's is like the fast food of Mongolian BBQ and their food isn't nearly as good.. if you want a good place to come and eat and not feel like you've just been through a drive through come to Blue Pacific. read more

I went not expecting much due to the myriad of average to poor reviews but decided to give it a shot (ok, I had a coupon). I'm leaving my over all rating at 4 stars, but I'll break this down into a few categories: initial greeting 4 stars; prompt and friendly, plus we were seated quickly. Service: 4 stars. Though it was very busy, our drinks remained full, she was appropriately attentive and brought samples of the sauces to the table. Layout and atmosphere: 2 stars. The line to get your Mongolian BBQ (or their version of it) wrapped around the dining room making it a little awkward for both those eating and those waiting in line. The floor was a little sticky, and our table was wet. Menus dirty and looked out of date, but this is due to their limited use as I'm sure most people go for the bowls. "Buffet:" 5 stars, The food line was well stocked, clean and the food looked fresh complete with well trimmed meat. Those sensitive to allergens or cross-contamination (pork, shell fish) may want to exercise caution as all these meats are in close proximity to one another. The process: 2 stars; The wait to get your bowl filled was easily 30 minutes which almost ruined the experience, but I was in line with 2 friends so we chatted like we would have at the table. It was a Saturday night at 6:45 during very nice weather... It was going to be busy. What brings this back to a solid 4 stars is the food. I was genuinely impressed with the overall taste and how everything was prepared. Great selection of sauces and seasonings. Dessert was generic, off site fare yet tasty and reasonably priced. Price: 3 stars. A little high for the quantity, on par for the quality. In the end I'll eat there again... But I'll be more selective about the time of day in order to avoid the line. read more

This place has all the potential to be amazing, but it is not kept together correctly. After being a secret shopper for a few years, I fell into the habit of looking for what I would be looking for as a secret shopper. When I walked into the restaurant there was no one there to greet me. It was around 2pm on a Wednesday.. I waited for at least 5 minutes before someone finally came out to greet me. I was disappointed since there were only around 3 other tables in the place. I was asked what I wanted to drink, given a silver bowl, and was sent to the line of food where I was disgusted to see how messy it was. There was shrimp and veggies on the floor, sauce was everywhere, and there was sesame seeds all over the floor at the end of the line. The grillers didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked, and they ended up over cooking it. The rice was hard, and when I got back to my table I didn't have my drink (which was just a water) and it didn't get to my table for at least 5 minutes after I sat down. When the server finally got to me I was almost halfway finished with my meal. Directly after my drink was brought, she gave me my bill and didn't come back until she saw my money on the table. She never told me her name, and never asked how my food was. I was never offered a box and I was never offered dessert. The table was sticky, and the place was just dirty. It was not an experience that would allow me to honestly refer people to eat there. I know that I will never be back. I always have a better experience at BD's Mongolian Grill in Toledo. read more
