I'd like to start by saying, I'm everybody's skeptic. Our first pool (from Namco) lasted us 15…read moreyears. When the wall blew out, we had a "pool contractor" do the warranty replacement. From that point on, our pool was a disaster. After last year's brutal freezes, the wall blew out again, Our replacement was a premium grade from Pool and Patio in Coventry. My wife searched for days, and we finally decided in Mark. Despite a few "sour apples" from obviously difficult, hard to please people, after speaking with him, we were convinced he was our choice. He showed up on time, well prepared, and very informative. He was very professional and the quality of his work was very obvious. He took percautions keeping in mind the landscape, and explained every key step. Mark has been doing this since he was ten years old, the quality of his workmanship is clearly evident. In chatting he explained how far he'll go to make sure his customers are happy. He's very ambitious, and hardworking. As the pictures will show, his workmanship is excellent. His rate was unmatched and very fair, (especially compared to others that wanted to charge me double the installation rate) He explained how his business offers pool closings at a very reasonable rate. We will be happy to have him close our pool from now on, in addition to any future service work needed. He will also be first to be recomended to any friends looking to install a pool. Unless you're a person that just can't obviously be pleased, you'll have no worries here whatsoever.

I initially contacted Mark while shopping around for above-ground pool installation and was…read moreimpressed by how quickly he responded and answered all my questions. He came out for a quote and seemed professional at first. But on installation day, I was surprised to learn he had subcontracted the job to someone else, a contractor who was rude, unprofessional, and canceled because of light morning rain, even though the forecast cleared up by 9 a.m. Mark agreed with their decision and told me to call someone named Carlos, who could "get me in ASAP." I was confused why was I calling anyone else when I had hired him to do the job? We took time out of work to be home and based on the forecast for that day I found it ridiculous! I get if there is going to be chances of heavy rain then obviously a pool install should be cancelled but it was literally dry the ENTIRE DAY after 9 am and the ground was hardly wet where I live! When I questioned it, Mark told me he doesn't make money on the installs and just passes the work off to other contractors. He said he had "no time for me." I was never told the job would be subcontracted, even though the permit was pulled under his company's name. In the end, I can't recommend him due to the lack of honesty and professionalism. Fortunately, the second crew (despite bad reviews) showed up as promised, worked through the extreme heat, and did a great job!

System didn't work. It was obvious it had never been tested. Christopher recommended another path that required additional service/parts - VERY expensive solution. My husband replaced a dollar fuse, and the system worked. We had a separate service request. The work done was not what was originally discussed (much less this time) The invoice arrived 20% higher than what was communicated via text, with NO detail (just flat fee) We asked for the invoice detail We received an invoice with two lines (service and parts) The parts did not reflect the parts used. It totaled $165 and had generic parts, some of which were not even used. The service hours did not reflect the time invested. Christopher stated he would agree to revising the invoice to reflect what he had listed originally in the text to my husband, as a "favor". He would not revise the estimate to reflect the actual work done or parts use. I stated that I simply wanted to pay for the job completed - parts and labor. I have all of this in writing via text. And, we tried to give him many opportunities to correct the invoice without any negative assumptions. In the end, we will pay our invoice. I just know, as a small business owner, your reputation is very important. If customers don't have confidence in the integrity of the work being done, it definitely limits the success of the brand.

Rich recently spent several hours working on our condo association property, replacing an old, problematic hose faucet and spindle connected to aging galvanized pipe with heavy mineral buildup behind our fieldstone and wooden trim. While it was nothing he hadn't seen before, his approach was exceptional. After giving the aging setup its initial glance, he shifted straight into modernizing the assembly with flex PVC and beautiful brass and copper fittings. His thoughtfulness, meticulousness, and positive demeanor shone through every step of the process as he used his critical thinking skills to finish the job with absolute precision. Beyond his top-tier quality and craftsmanship, his pricing is fair and honest, delivering incredible value for the level of expertise he brings. Because he is in high demand, you do have to be patient and wait your turn--and he occasionally prioritizes urgent emergencies, a policy you are always deeply grateful for if you happen to be the one in need. However, when you give him the time to do the job, he will always follow through, get you back up and running, and leave you with work that lasts. Because of his outstanding quality, fair value, and thoroughness with our older infrastructure, I completely trust Rich to handle any plumbing job on our property. Highly recommended!

Although it seems like a lot of money, I understand the reasons behind collecting a deposit (customers unexpectedly cancelling appointments, technician time to travel and diagnose issues, etc.). I paid the deposit and we confirmed the next available appointment was 3/20/25. On 3/14/25 I got an email (no phone call) telling me "Due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to complete your spa service on 3/20/25. Instead, we will be there 3/25/25". I was so frustrated and disappointed they had picked a new date without discussing it with me and that it was 5 days later. I discussed the issue with the service department, they apologized and said that was the earliest date. There was nothing more they could do. On 3/25/25, the day of my appointment, I get a voice message that said they needed to cancel the appointment and reschedule for 3/26/25. Because I have a fenced in yard with dogs I took the day off of work to be here. I'm beyond frustrated with NE Spas. Conveniently they took my money in less than 24hours but they have no problem rescheduling my appointments for 16 days. By the way their policy is no monetary refunds just store credit. So that's not even an option. I feel trapped because they have my money and left me no other option but to accept their dates.
