Awful awful awful They don't communicate or respond. They make countless mistakes that have delayed our install for months on end. Cameron was horrible and couldn't care less after the sale to help or ensure anything was completed correctly or on time. For a had mistakes, plaques wrong and constant finger pointing at excel. (Who was on top of everything on their end as I was regularly having to call both blue raven and excel to get contracts and forms completed. Then for accountability none. They have for weeks dodged my calls and efforts to get a call from a manager regarding their incompetence. Good luck if you use them, run if you can from this company. read more

The people who answer the phones and come out to do the work are great but as far as I can tell the company is just very poorly managed. It is not good to have a company that doesn't stand behind their work after investing so much money in a system that lasts for years. I was very interested in a home solar system to reduce electricity bills (coupled with an EV and ever increasing prices), have a positive environmental impact, and make our home more energy independent. It's a smart idea to look into when local incentives exist, net metering can improve the outlook, and the financing works out. There is a lot of unsavory competition, but Blue Raven and our project manager Chase Thomas reviewed the options clearly and spent as much time as needed to thoroughly propose reasonable options (which was a lot of effort given I am a suspicious engineer). I trust that they really care about customers and will offer the best products (whereas other companies tended to cut corners to appear more attractive). There were some hiccups and delays along the way, but Chase was on top of things and thorough to make sure things went right. I encourage anyone interested to review options and give solar a chance. There is very little downside when offsetting energy bills can pay off in a few years, or at least be better than paying the utilities. read more

If I could leave a zero star for this company I would. I scheduled an appointment with them for solar quote and they emailed and texted me multiple times confirming the appointment and I waited and waited and waited and nobody showed up. They didn't call to saw they were going to reschedule and a day later they reached out and asked if we could reschedule. One of the biggest things about solar companies is reliability. If this company can't even show up for the quote then what makes you think they'll show up or be responsible for anything? You only get one time to make a good first impression and they didn't. read more

Had my system finished installed back in October (CO area). Personally I've had great experiences with the Blue Raven rep and customer service. The rep is very informative and took the time to address all my concerns, questions and billing. He was never pushy but often gave good rationale for why I would want a larger solar system or a smaller one. As for customer service they have been very responsive in all my needs and sticking fairly close to their estimated completion dates. Only reason I give them a 4 is because they did need some constant follow up (otherwise I think installation mightve taken longer) and installed the wrong inverters. I wouldn't have known it was wrong if I hadn't checked the models and called them right away. read more

Installation went fine but after the sale, customer service SUCKS. Can't understand the agents. If you have problems like me bad inverters, gateway not responding, no output to grid, pay $349 for a service call and nothing was solved. All my problems still exist. Aside from that, you are shuffled between Emphase and Blue Raven "not my problem" and what do I get nothing other than "we will submit another report, another report etc. BTW I checked my electric utility bill and my output to the grid was ZERO for the past two months. I was told that I could buy a consumption meter and install it myself??? or pay $449 to have it installed. Why was this never mention with the sale and why should this not be included in the solar setup? $40,000 in solar panels, monthly payments, no output to grid, defective equipment, $349 service calls and nothing solved. WHAT A RIP OFF THIS COMPANY IS. My advice, go to another company that cares about their customers after the sale. read more

My solar system was installed improperly on June 5th. Unfortunately, Blue Raven idiots didn't consult my utility company AT ALL before they installed it wrong. They installed the shutoff way too far away from the electric meter. So, my utility company won't allow them to connect to their system because it doesn't meet the electrical code. Last week Tyler scheduled an electrician to be here today. When the electrician didn't show, Tyler said he forgot to tell me he canceled the electrician when he decided to try to ask the utility to approve a variance instead. He then promised (verbally), only to immediately cancel (via text) a new electrician appointment tomorrow. Even though I spoke with multiple people at Blue Raven today, I don't even have an appointment set up for when the electrician will finish the job. And this is now mid-July. read more

I waited all morning rearranged my schedule for the appointment and he never showed up. Never called or texted to notify me. I tried emailing the representative Catheryn Burr to ask what happened and she never responded either. It is rude and inconsiderate. While the sales process was fine, and the installation went okay, it was their lack of service after installation that forces me to give them 1 star. An installer dropped a ladder into a interior wall, creating a hole in my wall, and they drilled an extra hole in my roof soffit in error during installation. Three months later, they still had not completed repairs. Countless cancellations, no-shows of their repair team, and delays. They finally finished repairing the soffit - with paint that doesn't quite match the rest of my house. And I got tired of waiting for them to paint over the hole in my daughter's room so I finished that repair myself. I'm very disappointed with their lack of customer service. read more

We purchase Blue Raven Solar back in 2019, earlier this year we had bad hail and we had to have our roof replaced. This is when the issues with Blue Raven started. First, the original sales person said that Blue Raven would removed the solar panels anytime you need to have the roof replaced, without charge. This was not true the removal was over $7800!! When they removed the panels they damaged my garage door. When they came back to reinstall them the critter guard was put on half ass, then one panel did not work, after more than 6 weeks of bs k and forth they finally decided to replace the panel with a new one. The management team was unresponsive and unreliable. If you need to consider Solar don't buy Blue Raven. read more

Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to describe the journey we have been through with Blue Raven. It has been the worst experience I have ever been through. In May 2024 a rep came to our door to sell us solar panels and all the information sounded really good so we signed up. They said it would be maybe 9 week total to be completed. We are in December and still nothing. Every time I have spoken with them on the phone I had to be the one to reach out. I have not received a single phone call from them except from them today to tell me the loan expired and we would have to submit another application. Mind you, I called them weeks ago to let them know the application was going to expire soon and they told me not to worry about it.. he said he was keeping an eye on the account and was going to submit an extension before it actually expires. They never did that. I have had to continuously call throughout the months to get the process pushed along. I have had to call to get the permits done, and to get the main panel upgrade scheduled. The panel upgrade never got scheduled though, for months I would call and they would set an "appointment" and then send me a text saying the appointment was canceled because xcel didn't have any openings for that day and they would tell me I would receive a call in 2 days to schedule an appointment. I would call back a week later to see where the process was at, and they would schedule another appointment and it would get canceled again. This went on for months. Finally, they would tell me it would take two weeks to schedule an appointment with xcel and that I would get a call then. When I call back 18 days later, I find out the loan expired but all they need to do is submit the extension. Now 12 days later they call to tell me I need to resubmit the application because the lender needed more information about our mortgage payments/statements. This was just the worst of it. I have had to go back and forth with them on multiple issues and information that wasn't submitted correctly which I don't even know how that happened because I thoroughly went through everything when we signed up and made sure everything was correct. So I'm not sure how information just randomly changed. At one point, they even had the wrong address under our account!! Needless to say we will not be going with Blue Raven and I really wish we could've had an experience like some of the other people had and I hope nobody has to experience what we did. I really wanted this to be a pleasant experience but in the end it was really stressful and we were just let down. read more

We had Blue Raven Solar install solar panels on our home in September 2020. Ends up the system was undersized by about 25%. We just had them install another four panels and it's been a frustrating experience. We had to keep calling them. Panels didn't get delivered the day of installation. System didn't report correctly after installation. Took 5 months to complete the job. So much for taking advantage of the summer sun. read more

We had solar panels installed and overall the installation went ok - there were some issues, delays, but it was done and no issues w/the hardware since installation. Over the next few months it was obviousl that the # of panels was not sufficient. We trusted the salesperson, Matt, to give us accurate info when we decided to get the solar panels. He did not. It took over a year of constant emails and calls, providing addt'l info. several times, to finally get a response and during that time we found out that the 3G system was not longer available and we would need to upgrade, at our expense. They had stopped receiving system readings months earlier and never bothered to contact us. In addition, we would need 3-4 more panels and would have to pay for the panels, labor, etc. and it would cost over $5000. They did offer a small discount, but we felt they could do better since the system, that we have is based on their inaccurate info. It would take us a decade to recoup the expenses associated w/the new panels. Why would we trust this company to give us accurate info.? This is a subpar company and there are so many other companies that actually want our business. Buyer beware! read more
