had a very horrible experience at the Monroe St cleaners (review posted) don't know why I took my drapes to the one on Capital Circle which is a family member to the guy running the one on Monroe told they could clean my drapes ( very expensive drapes) went back picked them up 80.00 picked up on Friday, hung back up on Saturday. STUNK is an understatement. Smells like damp mildew socks. Called on Monday, was told all drapes cleaned need at least 3 days to air out......... Well it is Tuesday, have tried everything and they stink horribly and are ruined. I have had drapes cleaned before and this is very horrible and unacceptable service ( drapes were new and first time cleaned) I would not recommend anyone using this place. I dropped off my suit. When I came to pick them up, I found that the pants were torn terribly. The suit is about 400 dollars and I bought it recently. Also, there was a serious wrinkle in the jacket. I got so upset because that was a bland new suit. Of cause, I expected they would apologize me at least. However, they told a lie rather than apology. They said that there were already damaged before they pick them up. However, that does not make sense. I surely remember that there were no wrinkles or damages in the suit before they pick them up. Also, if there were serious wrinkle and damages, they should have refused to pick them up at first. However, the owner or manager (an old male) is very rude and keeps lying. Also, his daughter and son-in-law are acting the same as he. How terrible family is! Because of this, I strongly refuse to recommend Blue Ribbon Cleaners to others. read more

We have been using both the Lafayette and Capital Circle locations consistently for over five years now. Our clothes consistently come out perfectly pressed and spotless. My husband finds their light starch just right and is very pleased when he gets specialty shirts hand pressed. For example, his Columbia Florida State button downs take a beating during football season. Blue Ribbon returns them perfectly pressed. This helps to preserve the old Seminole head logo! He also gets some of his seersucker shirts done and they look perfect each time, just enough of that wave in the material to keep the seersucker look but still polished with collars that stay turned down. When he sent in tux shirts both pre and post wedding they were expertly handled. They even called him to ask if he wanted it run through again as they thought they could get more yellowing out of the collar. Sure enough it came back better than expected and his shirt was good to go for other weddings we attended last year. As far as me, I used them off and on prior to meeting my now husband. They have kept my absolute favorite power work dress pristine for almost 8 years. It hasn't lost color or shape. They are great about darts and pleats on anything I bring in which really makes the dresses look more refined even after going through a cleaning. We even take our comforter there and it comes back so refreshed and has preserved the color, it practically looks brand new even though I have had it for nearly a decade. They have reasonably quick turnarounds expect for on bedding. That is usually several days. The rest, within a day, max two. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blue Ribbon. We appreciate their attention to detail, good customer service, and supporting a family owned local business. read more

I don't expect any dry cleaner to always get it right. But I do expect when a customer has an issue with substandard service, that you try to please the customer not just fix the job you failed to do in the first place. I dropped off a brand new suit by a reputable clothier, to have creases removed that were there from packing. The staff on pickup and drop off were very pleasant. The problem was with the "experienced 22 year veteran" that I believe was the manager. When I dropped off the suit, I consulted with the staff about our issue with the creases and they assured me that it would not be a problem. At pickup the creases were still there, I mentioned my issue in a polite manner and they offered to try it again. That is when the manager told me that the creases were just going to come back because its on a hanger. After she took the suit back to re press and steam it the creases were gone. She continued to tell me that they are just going to come back and my wife should return the suit if she is not happy with the way that it was made. To be clear, we have no problem with the quality of the materials and craftsmanship of her suit, it looks great just like all the other clothes she owns from the same company. My only problem is with how rude and condescending the manager was when dealing with a polite customer that simply wanted them to do their job. Very disappointed, this dry cleaner came highly recommended and I have no problem with the final result after they fixed it. But there are many cleaners in town that also have good reputations, I just hope they appreciate their customers and treat them with a little more respect. I took a bedspread in to this cleaners. I just wanted it washed . Did not want to sit in a commercial laundry (because it had to go into a heavy duty washer). The girl that took it told me it would be a week. A week? Ok. How much? She told me $3. $3? Yes $3. I thought that was very low. After a week I went back and it was ready. The price? $30! Just to wash a bedspread and dry it. I told them that was ridiculous and that I had been told $3. Did the girl that took it in tell me wrong? Or did I misunderstand the price. Who knows. The young male working there asked me if I had a coupon off the internet and I said NO. I don't have a smart phone with me either. And I told them not only were they overcharging me charging me $30 --now they are telling me I could have brought a coupon in and had some dollars off. So he went into their little office and talked to presumably the owner or manager (an old male). This guy was the RUDEST individual I have ever seen in any business establishment. He threw my money back at me and said he did not need customers like me. Well fine! You won't have to worry! This business needs to fail. I am pretty sure if he treats his customers this way, he also treats his employees horribly. There is no way I would ever take anything back in to this cleaners. read more

I am writing my first Yelp review to share the positive experience I had with Blue Ribbon Dry Cleaners in the Centerville Publix shopping center. They went above and beyond to clean my daughter's wedding dress. After examining the dirty hem, the attendant told me they would try to get it clean and if it took more than one cleaning, there would be no additional charge. They cleaned it several times until the dress was completely clean and it now looks beautiful again. I am so impressed that this cleaner worked repeatedly to successfully clean my daughter's wedding dress. After reading some of the potential problems with sending wedding dresses elsewhere for cleaning, I really wanted it cleaned locally and I am so glad I took it to Blue Ribbon Cleaners. Another terrific part of this experience was that Blue Cleaner's price to clean the dress was so reasonable, especially compared to the first local dry cleaner where I took the dress. That cleaner quoted a significantly higher price than Blue Ribbon's price and told me wedding dresses are shipped out of town for cleaning and preserved in a box, which I did not want to do. read more

My husband and i are both professionals (though I'm now retired) and have lots of dry cleaning of suits and laundering (with heavy starch) of many men's shirts. We have done business with the Centerville/CCNE Blue Ribbon for 11 years now. I wholeheartedly recommend this business. They do excellent work, they are honest, they are straight forward if they think they will be unable to get a stain out, and yet on more than one occasion they have done just that. Best of all they are a family owned business. The clothes are cleaned on the premises. My husband and I are happy to support a family owned, local business, because we know it helps our own city. read more

My cleaning was finished on time and he just called to inform me that they found a credit card and some cash in the pockets. I dropped off 1 queen blanket, 1 lap blanket, & 1 twin coverlet for cleaning. When I came to pick them up, the man said it was $90.00!!! $30 per piece, no matter what size, no matter if it was laundry or dry cleaning! That's ridiculous & I'll never go back to ANY of their locations. I hope that $90 pays their rent, because they're not getting any more money from me. read more
