Recently took in a 2 year old Aussie that we found roaming the streets so that he could get groomed and looking fresh so he can find his forever home. Even with severe leash anxiety and somewhat nervous, Max and his colleague did an absolute fantastic job catering to his needs and making him look beautiful! If you're looking for the best groomers in OC, go to Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming! They are hands down the best and super patient with all of their clients. 10 out of 10!

First time taking my husky to get groomed and she was a little scared at first, but she quickly warmed up and trusted Max, the owner. He was incredibly sweet and made the whole experience really comfortable. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of service, and the place was really clean. It only took about an hour, which was great. My husky came out super soft and fluffy after her bath. If you have a husky or another double-coated dog, I definitely recommend bringing them here. I'll definitely be coming back!

We had a great experience at Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming! Max took the time to get to know my dog Fonzie's needs and little quirks, which made me feel really comfortable leaving him there. The salon itself was clean, nicely decorated, and very welcoming. Daisy was the one who groomed Fonzie, and she was wonderful with him. She worked with him patiently, took the time to learn his behaviors, and figured out the best approach to keep him comfortable during the grooming session. We're very happy with the experience and will definitely be back in six weeks to see Daisy and Max again! read more

Max at Blue Ribbon has groomed our family pup Teddy since 2024. Teddy is timid and shy but when I arrive at Blue Ribbon he's calm and relaxes. I drive from Long Beach because we want the best groomer for Teddy. Max always does an excellent job and takes his time carefully grooming our pup. We just moved to Tustin and were looking for a new groomer for our dogs. We chose Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming at random because of its reviews and convenient location, and the results were awesome! They took great care of our two dogs, giving both of them a bath, haircut, nail trim, and teeth cleaning. I have been coming to this grooming place for over a decade now. Loved Laura and her warm welcomes and now the new management has taken it to another beautiful level. Your dogs walk in, there is coffee for you, Max has his new policy in place of having a handful of pups in for grooming so I do not see any dogs getting anxious or scared. Max and his team are doing a wonderful job. Watching my dogs walk in willingly which they never do at the doc's place or any place where they may think they might get an eye trim horrifies them. Daisy is such an amazing woman! My dog is very difficult to work with and gets trazodone for each grooming session. For some reason the drowsiness did not kick in and my dog was having it, but Daisy handled him so well! They are good, borderline great. I use them and my dogs like it there. Sometimes I have to tell them to do certain things (clip nails, etc.). I found out that one of my dogs doesn't like it much...just ask me to hold her (which was done on the third time around) and everything went fine. Very nice shop for dogs and prices are inline. read more

This is my first visit under the new management and my dog, Benny, looks fantastic. I'm very pleased. We get our lab shaved down each summer to control the shedding. He feels good. I can tell by his happiness when I picked him up and when my husband greeted him at home. Happy dog, happy mom. I recommend Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming to all. read more

Walked I to dogs howling, screaming and crying. Blinds are closed from the inside and the sign on the door said closed. Walked in and it was messy papers and it smelled like wet dog and dog poo. Asked how much for a dog groom and the lady looked at me as if I murdered her first born son.. maybe she was distracted. This is the only groomers my dogs will walk into on their own- and that says a lot! They are so gentle and friendly to my dogs as if they were their own. My Wanda had fleas so she was given a flea bath and when I got her back, she wasn't itching anymore and now 2 weeks later, we are still good as new! Their haircuts still look as if they were done yesterday. I will only bring my doggy's here :) read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE We have brought our dogs here for years without ever having an issue. Laura and her groomers always did a great job. Laura has retired and has sold the business. we took our dogs here in May and they both came back with problems. Our Golden came back dirty and with walnut sized clumps of matted hair behind both ears. Our cockers nails were not trimmed nor were his ears cleaned. Neither dog had their anal glands cleaned. All of these items were paid for. NEVER AGAIN GOING HERE. read more

Did my research before taking my dog to this groomers. Boy were the reviews of this place WAY OFF, first of all I called to make an appointment got an appointment the same week at 730am. I get there and the shop is still closed, I wait half an hour until the owner Laura shows up no apology for being late. That should've been my que to leave the hell out of there, but no I thought things happen and I'm very understanding. As soon as I walk in I get an overwhelming disgusting smell, I feel like I'm suffocating. I leave my dog and get a call back in a few hours to pick up my dog, he's in a cage too small for his size and he looks very stressed. Poor thing just wanted to come home. Never taking my dog there again because he seemed so off after I picked him up. While I was waiting for my dog I noticed the groomers handle pets in such a harsh way. read more

We were loyal customers taking our puppy there for at least 2 years. The last 2 times he went he came home with ringworm due to unsanitary practices. Not to mention he also came home with bloody nails from being trimmed too short. On other occasions, our dog was nicked a couple times and became infected which costed us $150 in vet fees. The place is a dangerous environment for your pets. The cages are individual cages that are just stacked on top of each other and always seems like it could topple over. The place is always in disarray and seems very unkept and unsanitary. read more

Such a good grooming spot in Tustin!! If available they take your dog the same day which is nice. They always do a great job on our tea cup maltipoo! Our little love suffers from a medical condition that keeps her for being able to sit still. Knowing this I know it can make cutting her hair very difficult but they are always so patient here with her. She always leaves the groomer looking fabulous! read more

They ask for vaccinations records and need the 6month shots before they take your dog in. The reception area looks like a spa. It's clean and pleasant. There is a gate by the front door so dogs can't run out onto the street if the door opens. Unfortunately you cannot see into the grooming area. They keep the door shut at all times and there is no viewing window which is different to what I've seen at other places. To me this was a red flag. I told the lady at reception what i wanted and she translated in to the groomer. The entire grooming experience was done very quick, they took an hour and a half. Is this a good thing? I thought so. Until I saw my dog. The cut was uneven and choppy. His face didn't have a good finish. He had been nicked with the shaver in a few spots and had blood. His nails had not been cut. And he was dirty!! I actually called back to ask them because I genuinely thought they forgot to wash him! She didn't acknowledge anything I had to say or check with the groomer. She claimed everything was done and he's clean. She wouldn't listen to the fact that when I rubbed a wipe over him the white wipe was brown! I could see bits of white fur all over his black coat. It was gross. She said you can wash him again if you like! We had to wash him again at home and I re-cut his mouth area myself. Disappointed with their reaction to my feedback when i called so unfortunately here it goes publicly for everyone to see.

Not only that, he did a great job navigating our other dog, Maddox who was along for the ride and sometimes really interested in Dave's treats! Dave helped us with methods on how to help handle Knox's excitement when new people come into the house and to keep him calm when he sees dogs on walks and some things in-between, providing step-by-step instructions for ways we can work with him to get him to those calm places. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

It goes to show that the groomers really do take good care of her. They've literally been part of her life (at least for her grooming experience). She always get the full service groom, which includes haircut, bath, nail trim, paw trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression. Usually it takes about 1.5-2 hours depending on how busy they are. Once she's all nice and clean, the groomers always call or text me saying she's ready. Sometimes they even dress her up with a cute little bow~ There was a time while they were grooming her, they found a small scab on her body and immediately messaged me about it. It wasn't their fault actually, but it was because my dog was playing too rough with the two dogs we had at home. I do super appreciate that they reached out on this. It goes to show that they do care about animal welfare and immediately bring anything that could be worrisome to my attention asap. Definitely love their service and friendliness! I even got my cousin to bring her dog here! :)

They've been pretty accommodating especially when it comes to moving appointments up (or back) and one time when I was off by 30 minutes, they called (were very nice) to make sure I was still showing up. And still took us. Our dog is a Hungarian Puli so his coat tends to cord on its own if we don't brush it often (which unfortunately we don't). Kawaii has been great about taking out any mats and camouflaging it as best as they can. We usually have a great laugh when we pick him up as he looks like he's heading to a job interview instead of his shaggy self. They've also been working on our Siberian cat who we didn't get groomed until we got our dog and he was gumming her up with his drool all the time. They've been great about preserving her coat and sending her back to us fluffy and clean. They definitely deliver a consistent product and have been very easy to work with.

Would love to see price increases calm down so we don't get priced out of affording their services. With that said, we still keep going because it's hard to find the level of service and good to great grooming technique used by the Spaw. We have not used other services here so will not comment on that. Plenty of parking and decent availability, but I would call at least a couple of weeks in advance for scheduling. I've been bringing my golden doodle, Delilah, to Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming since she was a puppy--almost five years now! Over the years, I've always appreciated the care and attention she's received here. When the original owner sold the business, I was a bit apprehensive, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the seamless transition. The most recent owner and his sister have been wonderful with Delilah, and it's clear they care deeply about the pets they serve. While we miss Daisy, the previous main groomer, the overall experience under the new ownership has been great. Delilah came home looking and smelling fantastic, and it's evident she feels comfortable and well cared for during her visits. I'm happy to continue trusting Blue Ribbon with Delilah's grooming needs. It's comforting to know she's in good hands with people who treat her like family. I recently took my Boston Terrier, Rocco, to Blue Ribbon Pet Grooming, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this is a place where pets are genuinely cared for. The new owner, Max, is incredibly friendly and professional. He clearly puts 100% into his work, and it shows in every detail. Not only did Rocco come out looking amazing, but I was blown away by how calm and comfortable he was during the whole visit -- and trust me, that's not typical for him. Max must be a dog whisperer! The grooming quality is top-notch, and the personal attention Rocco received really set this place apart. You can tell Max truly loves what he does, and it makes all the difference.
