Staff is all very nice and friendly, facility is very clean. Wanted to give a shoutout to our groomer, Cayla. She did a seal cut for my two Pomeranians by hand and then dressed the two up and had a little photo shoot for them, which she shared with me when I picked them up! So very cute and very much appreciated! I definitely recommend this place! 5/5!!

Ever since moving to Irvine, I've had a really difficult time finding the right groomer for my special-need tripaw pup. Many of the places I tried in the past either didn't do a great job grooming his face or, even worse, shaved him so closely that you could see the open wound. Part of the challenge is that my pup, who was sadly neglected by his previous owner, reacts differently to different people. Honestly, we've developed a bit of PTSD from trying to find someone who truly understands and cares. That's why I'm so incredibly grateful to have found Kawaii Pet Salon! I honestly didn't expect too much from the grooming session--especially when it came to his face--because he tends to squirm and get nervous when people go near it. But to my surprise, they did an amazing job! His face was groomed so thoughtfully and with such care. In the past, other groomers would leave him looking a bit... alien-like. Not this time! Even more heartwarming was hearing how well he did with his groomer, Emily. You can truly feel how much they care for the animals they work with. Emily shared with us that she has a tripaw kitty of her own, which made us feel even more understood and comforted. I truly recommend Kawaii Pet Salon to anyone looking for a groomer who will treat your furry family with kindness, patience, and genuine love--not like just another appointment on the schedule. If your pet tends to be anxious during grooming like ours, I'd really encourage you to give them a try (just a side note, we did feed him anti-anxiety meds before the grooming session). We finally found a place where our boy feels safe--and that means everything.

First time using Kawaii to groom our mini doodle and Allen and his team did a great job and my dog seemed to be very happy afterwards. Thank you for great communication, late service accommodation, & service! Will definitely have my dog groomed here again.

Our dog Enzo came back and looked so fresh and pampered. Granted he was there for 4 hours so he slept on the car ride home but his grooming session was a success!

So happy with my fur baby's haircut. She looks so cute and she smells amazing! I can tell they took their time and care with her. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. Definitely recommended!

Omg finally a pet salon that not only cuts and grooms but knows how to style! I love their attention to detail, every time I pick up my pets I am pleasantly surprised at how cute they've made them. Unlike other places where I usually notice a hair or two missed, at this salon I never see any errors. They also put the cutest accessories on my dogs. Also they are very fast, at other places sometimes I end up waiting 4 hours for the grooming session to end, but here I get the message to pick up before it hits 2 hours. Definitely worth booking and driving to, the staff are skilled and friendly. I also like how when I drop my dogs off, they don't take them to the back or anything like other places where it leaves you wondering if they are in a cage or such. Very nice setup, and they deliver great results.

    Cut

I am writing this to warn other dog owners, especially those with puppies. When we picked up our puppy his eyes were visibly hemorrhaged. I was immediately mortified. We also noticed a cut and shaved area on his private parts that looked extremely irritated and possibly verge of bleeding. To make matters worse the groomers (a male and female) claimed they did not know how this happened and were openly asking each other what could have caused it, which was alarming. I was in shock and immediately took my puppy to the vet next door. One of the groomers walked me over, and by chance the actual veterinarian was at the front desk. After hearing what happened, the vet asked the groomer if a leash had been placed around my puppy's neck. He confirmed that it had. The vet then explained that if a leash is too tight, it can restrict oxygen to the brain, which can cause eye hemorrhaging. We then took our puppy to our own veterinarian, who confirmed the same cause. He told us our puppy was lucky, but still required medication for a week. Regarding his private area, the groomers claimed it was due to an allergy, which our vet confirmed was not true. He explained the area had been shaved too close to the skin, causing the injury. To be fair, the groomers did acknowledge the incident and paid for the vet visit. However, this does not change the seriousness of what occurred. I have had dogs my entire life and this has never happened at any groomers appointment at other places ever. We trusted this business with our puppy and will not be returning. Please be extremely cautious bringing your dog here.

We had an amazing experience with our pup RUCA here. After several bad haircuts in Orange County we were referred here by some friends who have tiny dogs. We LOVED the cut and the customer service. This is our new spot for sure!!!

Kawaii indeed! My baby girl had the cutest haircut here. Kawaii Pet Salon is very thorough in cleaning. Most importantly, I trust them in clipping the nails of my baby (my baby had trauma with her nails clipped too short and caused her nails to bleed)

I have been going to Kawaii Pet Salon for about a year now and every encounter has been amazing. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. My dogs always come out with the cutest haircuts and smell so fresh. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you for always taking care of Bubs and Bruno! :)

Thanks Kawaii Pet Salons for sending me these adorable post-haircut photos and for the Mother's Day rose! Thank you for making them look adorable despite all the nasty mats! Definitely not waiting so long for the next grooming session

This is a great place. The people are very nice. The service was prompt and our dog was groomed beautifully! Recommend parking in the back as the shopping center is quite crowded.

We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning…read moreof this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

I originally booked myself with a different stylist but was asked if I'd like to be rescheduled with a "golden doodle specialist." The caller seemed disheveled and stressed but I unfortunately paid it little mind. Great! My boy will look amazing after his trim. I came in with my shaggy but unmatted boy to get him cleaned up around the eyes and rump for hygiene, maybe paws as well. He is a puppy and should to be used to the groomer after all. Unfortunately, the stylist showed me what looked like velcro straps for the lengths with numbers. I didn't piece together very well how the lengths would translate to the dog. My last dog was a golden retriever with straight hair, not a golden doodle. I showed a picture from the same breeder, same breed. Just older. The stylist insisted it could not be done and went along and took my dog anyways. With a price of $100-$120, I was sure he'd turn out well I still gave the benefit of the doubt. I then waited ~3.5 hours for my pup to be finished. I expected it to take atleast two hours but since it was his first time, longer. So seemed on time. Surely the cut would be amazing Uhh... look at the pictures I can see some people liking this cut but I WAS NOT expecting what I got. I kept my composure but was very disappointed and shocked. If I wanted a shave, I'd have done it myself and saved $120. The salon at that time was also rather chaotic as the stylist's dog was barking and she said she would put him outside if he would not be quiet. Far too much for my young pup whose first professional grooming had been done here. I left without saying anything and decided to ask for a discount over email after my thoughts settled, but my partner called rather frustrated before I could. She was met with rather unprofessional comments. "It will grow back." "Your boyfriend didn't say anything." "It wasn't the same dog." "We can't do it." I made many mistakes. Lapse in my judgement by not reading red flags, not leaving after the stylist said she could not cut my dog the same way as the reference, and failing to see the customer service is severely lacking. TLDR - Tell them what you want and if they say they can't do it, leave. Do not use their velcro length suggestion. Do not bring young and anxious dogs here as their handling is meh. I do take responsibility as I heard afterwards that this is a common occurrence with Goldendoodles

We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. That changed this last time the owners sold the company and the new owners took over, as things have definitely gone downhill, which brings me to this review specifically. This past Thursday, July 2nd, I swung by Paw Sweet Paw on my way home to pick up my dog, since my wife dropped her off for a half day. I told the young lady at the front I was here to pick up Boba, and she said, "I'll be right back with Boba."I waited for 15 minutes for her to return, and when she did, she did not have my dog with her, and she stated something like, "they are in the process of moving the dogs". Some more time goes by, and a manager walks by, and I am livid by this point, and I said, "Where is my flippin dog, although I didn't use flippin. She said, " Please hold on for one minute and she walked away and went upstairs. By this point, it had been a half hour, and not to mention there was another gentleman there to drop off his dog, and he had been waiting 15 minutes. Some more time goes by, and I told the lady at the front that I was walking to the back to get my dog, and you can call whoever you want, but this is BS. When I opened up the gate and was proceeding to walk back, the manager came walking down the steps, and again, I said Where the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HELL is my dog, to which she replied, I don't know how to tell you this, but WE GAVE YOUR DOG TO THE WRONG PERSON. Needless to say, I lost it, and I said, how the hell is that even POSSIBLE on your end, let alone the person that took my dog home. Who the hell picks up their dog and realizes that this is not my dog and takes it home?????? The Manager said that somehow either she lost her paper collar or someone neglected to read the name on the collar and handed her off to another staff member, and they are the ones that gave her to the wrong owner.....When the new owners of Paw Sweet Paw took over, they implemented this paper tag collar policy, and when you check your dog in, they take the regular collars off of the dog and put a paper collar on the dog. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, but somehow, they believe it's to protect the dogs in case they get in a fight or something, to which I still don't understand. By this point, I cannot even see straight, and I am basically yelling at the Manager as to where my dog is and who the hell is going to get her. She said, "I just spoke to the owner, and I am driving to her house right now to get Boba." The lady that took my dog had two dogs, so as the manager was leaving, I said You might want to go back and get her dog..... She said it would take her about 15 minutes to get to the lady's house and 15 minutes back. Finally, after well over an hour, I got my dog back!!!!!!.. Needless to say, she was extremely anxious and was panting very heavily all the way home, and her heart was racing as well. She finally settled down later that night.....I am not sure what dogs think, but I believe Boba might've been thinking she was being abandoned because she has never been anywhere except Paw Sweet Paw. All in all, I think it was about a 1.5-hour ordeal (nightmare). The Manager said she started 3 weeks ago, apologized profusely, and said she is going to rectify the problem so that it never happens again. She also said that the District Manager would be calling my wife, because by this time, my wife had come down as well. They did call later on that night from a blocked number and left a message with no number to call back. We're still waiting for her to call back. It really sucks because this is the only place we have ever taken Boba, and she actually likes it there cause she is not locked up all day and can play with other dogs. My dog is already anxious, so the idea of finding a new boarding place is less than desirable, but I might have no choice.
