We dine at BRG pretty often and have always had a great experience. I took my son for a nice meal, focused on getting the exceptional crab cakes that are my favorites. As I waited just a few minutes for my call ahead seating, I saw the Daily Special sign in the lobby...Thursday...$7 off Surf-and-Turf, shrimp or crab cake. That was it for me, I was ready to order. When I sat down, I was informed that the crab cakes were no longer on the daily special and the crab cakes were available at "Market Price", which was $5 more than the price on the website. No problem, I really wanted their excellent lump crab cakes. Unfortunately, that is not at all what I got...The crab cakes last night had a significant amount of filler and much less crab meat than usual. I have had frozen crab cakes as good as these, which was very disappointing and not typically the case. Otherwise the meal and service was good. read more

Typical new American restaurant in a typical suburban strip mall. More like a 3.5 star; I just couldn't upgrade it because of its lack of innovation. Crab cake specials on Mondays; I had them once though I wasn't terribly impressed since they didn't taste all that fresh. Interesting cocktails, okay-ish food, good portions. The place's spacious and next to a movie theater so it's always convenient for a pre-show dinner or post-show drinks. Good service. I sort of feel bad giving it a 3 star, but I just usually am not fond of suburban establishments if they have absolutely no character. read more

Calamari with the two different sauce was AMAZING! Get it. I forgot what i ordered for my entree (it's been a while...I should've reviewed while it was still fresh in my mind) but it was a fish that came with lobster sauce. Here's what i DO remember about my meal - it was very rich. So rich that I couldn't finish my meal. After the 3rd bite I was done. My husband had to finish the rest and he agreed - it was very rich - but he finished my food anyway (cause he's supportive that way lol). He enjoyed his own entree a lot. Our server and service was great. We plan to be back when/if given the chance. I'll just avoid the lobster sauce entree :). read more

Went with my husband, another couple, and their two children earlier this month. It's definitely a good spot for larger groups and/or children. We had the spinach dip for an appetizer - which everyone enjoyed. I had a Royale with Cheese, and my husband had the Leesburger (hamburger with ham and BBQ sauce). Eh. Burgers are burgers. Service was good, but I wouldn't come back. Too many other interesting restaurants out there, getting tired of the same old chain food. read more

I just adore this place. My hubs and I are literally here at least once a week. It's in my neighborhood and the food and service are consistently great! We always grab a seat at the bar where Griffin or Mark take good care of us. They always have specials on top of the normal menu, and they are always willing to modify the menu as needed. My go to is the chicken tenders, fresh fish of the day and the bisque....my hubby loves the grilled wings and either tilapia BLT or cut to order prime rib...we are definitely fans...just wish the kitchen stayed open later... read more

Good food and excellent staff. I use to go to Blue Ridge a few years ago, recently they haven't been as new and fresh as other upcoming restaurants. We go to this restaurant every week with family. Yes, we are getting a little sick of the food but we never get sick of the great service. They now know us and shortly after we sit down, our drinks start flowing. Don't get me wrong, the food is decent and good quality. They do have issues cooking a steak to the desired temperature though. My husband likes his steak medium plus (between medium and medium well) and they NEVER cook it correctly. All in all though, we like this restaurant. read more

I went to Blue Ridge Grill a few months ago for Brunch on Sunday. It was the best I have had in a REALLY long time. The starter they came out with first was some funnel-cake sticks which were warm and delicious. Then the entrees came out nice and hot, with plenty of food included. We went here for Sunday Brunch and while the selection is limited for breakfast options the food was delicious. The service was also pretty good. Just had a delicious dinner. Started with lobster bisque that was so good that I ordered one to go. Grilled Mahi Mahi was OK. Wife had chicken piccata and mixed green salad. She very much enjoyed both. She said that the salad was, "light and fresh." Restaurant is super convenient because it's next to the movie theater. Very clean and well put together. It can get very crowded very easy. The food takes longer than preferred but the tequila lime pasta (Which is a common special) is worth the wait. Service is spotty especially on the weekend. If you plan to eat here quick I recommend having it to go and waiting 45 minutes before you go and pick it up. First time here, we ordered prime rib and ribeye steak. The prime rib was perfect, the ribeye was good. It needed a little more seasoning and a better sear on the outside. Just found my J Alexander replacement in Virginia. Great salads, prime rib and baked potato. The service was perfect, as in the food came to the table precisely at the best moments. Salad was almost immediately after ordering, then once I put my fork down from that, the main course arrived. I really appreciate that level of observation from the staff. It shows they truly respect my time. Food was well prepared and cooked to my spec. Only negative for me is that there is no boston lager but Vienna lager was a good replacement. read more

Go Adam or go home! I went here a few weeks ago with friends and was seated in Adam's section. Not only was the food delicious, but Adam was the perfect server. He took care of us and was enthusiastic about his customers. I would have thought we were his first customers of the evening if it wasn't for the small wait we had. One of our favorite restaurants! All staff is great! Love sitting at the bar for dinner. Happy hour specials are amazing. Even if you get there later, food is always on point, amazing consistency! I never write restaurant reviews, but I will for this place. Very cool atmosphere and I had the best crab cakes I've ever had -- very tender crab meat with just the right amount of spice, balanced out by this amazing dipping sauce (different from the usual tarter sauce.) The sauce that came with the Calamari was also excellent. What made me write this review though, in addition to the great food, was the bar service. We ordered a bottle of wine while we waited and when I tasted it, the bartender could tell I didn't like it. (Usually, I just assume once they've opened it that it's yours.) She immediately said "If you don't like it, I can get you something else." She opened another bottle and let me have a taste, which was much more to my liking. This location has good food, good service and actually better ribs than Sweetwater Tavern in Sterling. The wait times on Friday evenings are not as bad as more popular locations... probably due to the fact that they are in the Brambleton Shopping center in a still developing section of Loudoun Co. read more

We normally eat at the Blue Ridge Grill in Leesburg, but we went to a movie and decided to eat at the Blue Ridge right next door. It was okay but not anything close to the excellence of Leesburg. The food wasn't as good, the service was lacking, the atmosphere wasn't as nice and there were too many noisy children. We will definitely stick to the Blue Ridge in Leesburg from now on. read more

It's convenient and they have outside seating. I'm not a big fan of the food but it's hard to beat in terms of location and access from the theater. We generally only visit this restaurant when we watch a movie -- haven't visited the restaurant just for lunch or dinner. read more

The building itself is very modern and impressive looking and the food was just as good. I went out with my mother and wife. My mom ordered the Chicken Picatta, my wife ordered the tilapia and I had a burger and we had the calamari as an appetizer. They were all great dishes. The steak looked amazing too and I think I will order that next time. It was kind of busy on Saturday night, but the call ahead service helped cut our wait time and we really didn't wait too long for a table. The staff was very fast, efficient, and professional. I highly recommend this place and I prefer the Ashburn location a little bit over the Leesburg one. read more
