Mike was hired to make and install three screens for windows. He quoted as $175 for the job. He required as to pay $100 deposit. We gave him the deposit on June 1st, 2021 after he measured the three windows. He promised to be back the following day to install the screen. He did not show up, call or text the following day. On June 4, 2021, He texted that he had our screens and he can install it 5:30 pm. At 4:30 pm he texted that he can't make it and said for sure tomorrow at 5:30pm. I had a leaky pipe in my attic just over my daughters room.I called a few plumbers and none were willing to come out beacause it was after their business hours. (not even to shut my water off!!) then I found blue shirt hanyman gave them a call and mike answered. After explainig my situation to him he came right out within a half hour like he said he would. He then climb into my attic and fixed the leak in less than 20 minutes.He told me it was just one fitting on the copper pipe that needed new solder. 2.12.18 I called the blue shirt handyman and asked for him to bid on a house that I'm renovating . I was told that he can come out and bid on it but if I dont use him it would cost me $50 for a bid. Bought an over the range Samsung Microwave (Home Depot $190.00) that required a professional install. After getting 2 quotes and no call backs I found Blue Shirt Handyman on Yelp. When I spoke with Mike and told him about the price from two other handymen, he was positive and didn't try to shoot the other guys down just to close a deal. This impressed me. It let me know that if I did hire him that he possessed character which is hard to find. So, after conversing we agreed for a time the next day. Called Mike as I needed a security door hung, and my swamp cooler hooked up. He told me he'd be at my house about 6 for an estimate. He was 15 minutes early which impressed me. I showed him everything that needed to be done, he gave me a Very reasonable quote, and I hired him on the spot. He is polite, & prompt. He showed up, again earlier than I expected, and had my screen door hung perfectly within a couple of hours. After that job, I needed Mike to come back, and fix the swamp cooler again. He didn't show up, so I called him back, and he did come the next day, but was late. He did fix the problem though, but I got charged full price, though instead of showing up at 10 am, he showed about 5 pm. I'd have expected a price break for that. After that was fixed, my other house where developed a roof leak. He patched the roof, and told me, if there were any problems, he'd come back, and re patch the spot. Well, it rained again, and the leak was just as bad. Upon calling him, he never called back. I had to hire another guy to come out and fix his repair, so I had the pleasure of paying twice, which Really pissed me off! During that time, the cooler failed again. I still couldn't get ahold of him, so I went on the roof, and found the belt was Way too lose, and damaged. I purchased a new belt, and put it on myself, along with a new pump, again. He reached me by phone to tell me, there were some problems he had run into, and was sorry he hadn't shown. Since my very first experience with him was so positive, I asked him to come by, and look at the leak at my other house again. He never showed. He had a 5 star review, which I have downgraded. He was never rude, but when I need a job done, I don't want to have to re do it 3 times, nor do I want to sit home, and wait for someone, who never comes. That costs me time, money, and puts me behind schedule for finishing my writing projects. I cant say enough good things about Mike. I was in a bind our shower backed up Tuesday and I was trying to fix it every night when I got home from work with NO success. Today I got home a little early and decided to search my trusty YELP. I found Blueshirt and they were about 1.5 miles from where I live so I gave it a shot. Mike answered right away and was able to swing by to look at the clog within 15 minutes (not for the lack of being busy he was right down the street at another estimate) I showed him the problem and he gave me an extremely reasonable estimate and said he could be back in the next two hours to fix it. 1.5 hours later he was back and after about 35 feet of his extremely clean and well kept snake (I've seen some plumbers that look they just dumped the equipment in a porto potty) my shower was draining like a champ. I already booked him to finish some masonry work I started and never finished for our fire pit. He does it all except carpet and is polite, knowledgeable and a pro at what he does. All I got to say is DAMN I'm impressed!!! Mikes the best! Had a pipe leak in my ceiling and I had no idea what I was gunna do. I'm young and live on my own so it's hard to afford good service but all you'll get from these guys is good prices and even better service! Called blue shirt and Mike answered who is really polite and honest I told him water was leaking from the bathroom fan in my downstairs bathroom and had no idea what to do he said they would come by check it out and give me an estimate they knew right away that it was a pipe leak and in no time they shut off the water and got to the pipe, small hole in my ceiling had me worried but they had the pipe fixed in less than 30 minutes told me they would have to come back in a week or two to fix the hole so the walls could air out they also let me pay for the whole job when they we're completely finished so I'd have time to save some money! I actually forgot about the hole needing fixing and Mike called to schedule a patch without me even having to call them he came the same day and got the hole patched good as new! Mike from Blue Shirt Handyman really helped me out. My wife and I discovered two wet spots on an exterior wall and new we had a broken pipe. We called Mike and he came out within the hour. A little time later we got the news. It was actually a leak under our slab behind the water heater. Mike got what he needed and went to work.
