Try to keep this from getting TLDR. I guess the short story is this place did great work…read more I bought a used car years ago, it had a "performance" muffler on it. After putting up with the loud exhaust for a couple years, I was done. I went to a place that was closer to me at the time, and they put a stock muffler on it. Still had a little rumble, but told not much to do about it. Job well done, or so I thought. Few years later, I start noticing a rattle on startup. It's not bad, it goes away after warm up. I carry on. Few months ago, it gets worse, still goes away, but I think I might have a transmission issue. Friend of mine I'm telling about it said he had the same thing once and he had a broken bracket on his exhaust system. I get under and see this mess. Cracked welds, pipe separated from the muffler. Also, they didn't install a mounting support above the pipe, probably one of the reasons it broke. Well, not going back to that place. I did a little research, and Big Johns looked like the best place. Little out of my way, but I wanted to make sure this time things went better. I believe John was there when I arrived, and had another guy who worked with him. I mentioned the whole problem, plus said it was still a little loud. He suggested a slightly bigger muffler, plus he installed a bracket support where the other place hadn't, and also redid the other two supports that were in place. The new supports were obviously more heavy duty. It did the trick. Also, I noticed my car was running better and a couple of issues had gone away. Car is now running like it did before all this started, and it's the quietest it's ever been. Charged me $200 and it was well worth it. At this point, I'm pretty happy. Be aware that when I was there, they only work on one car at a time. I don't know if he utilizes the other garage bay, but they work fast. It took maybe 30 minutes or so to do the job.

I was met at the door by the manager who was aware of my previous experience and wanted to make it good. He had the team give the truck a very good workover and did not charge me for the service. This is good customer service and the service I have been used to for many years with University Car Wash. I will continue using this service on both of my trucks. BTW - the truck does get washed regularly and in May received a 180.00 detail. We just use it and it gets dirty.

I have never left satisfied with the cleanliness of my car, including the time I paid for the $85 detail. I finally talked with a manager, John, and his customer service was as abysmal as their car cleaning abilities. He said the $25 car wash only allowed for up to five minutes of vacuuming, and thus, I received the appropriate level of cleaning I presented him with (very poor... I still had noticeable chunks of dirt in my cupholder, for example). He continued on to tell me that if I wanted my child's car seat vacuumed, even at a basic level, I needed to pay for the detail service. I will not be returning. One thing you need to have handy to get an estimate are the measurements of the windows. Good thing my house windows are the same sizes which made the whole process easier. The only thing that was not the same size was the patio door. When I talked with James, he replies very fast and very friendly as well. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. Well money spent especially for the Texas heat. I will put in pictures later.
