Came here on a Sunday afternoon from Temecula after church service coz we were all craving for…read moredumplings and I've heard about this place. Arrived around 1:15 pm and there was a long line so for me, this is an either a good sign or people are just hungry and there's no other choice. Signed up on their waiting list and waiting for about 30 mins before we got a table. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND!! This is what we ordered: 1. XLB - 10/10 - freshly made, soup was very tasty, the filling was very flavorful. It gave DTF a run for their money. No need for ginger. Dip this in some chili oil and soy sauce and you're in for a treat! 2. Pork shiumai - 6/10 - it was good but not the best I've had. My least fave. 3. Schezuan eggplant - 11/10 - the best schezuan eggplant dish I've had. Fresh off from the wok so be careful eating this coz it is temperature hot. The flavor was full of umami, sweet, salty, and that sauce is heavenly!! 4. Cucumber salad - 10/10. Love the crispiness and garlic flavor of this app. Liked the addition of cilantro. 5. Garlic string beans - another 11/10 - it was a full plate of this all time fave of ours. Cooked to perfection!! Again a little touch of some salted black beans that added more umami flavor. 6. Dan Dan noodles - 10/10 - I'm a big fan of DD noodles and this was delish!! Love the freshness of the noodles and right balance of ground meat and flavor was spot on!! 7. House special chicken wings - 10/10. crispy, sweet, little tangy and BOMB! Lots of parking it's in a strip mall!! This place is legit! Service was great. Will definitely come back and try their other food!!

I'm going to be so forreal, this place is over hyped. I was influenced and was disappointed. When I…read morewent in let's start off with the service - nobody greeted me, hello you're about to take my money the least you can do is say hello, tell me to sign my name and you'll be right with me... No, instead I asked ppl who were waiting in line "am I supposed to write my own name? After waiting and nobody acknowledging me for a good while. Their response was "we did" There was an empty seat that I could've just sat at because I went by myself and started eating sooner but because their lack of acknowledgment I waited 15 mins ... I really wanted to hope for the best that's why I waited. Then after being told to sit where I knew I'd sit, then my server was kind, but took a while to check up to see if I needed anything (I'm a sauce girl so I ask for eel and chili sauce at any restaurant that has it) instead I asked another server because mine was no where to be seen. Now, the food..... the tempura was delicious but for the price wtf is 3 pieces...????? Like EXCUSE ME???? 12 bucks and 3 pieces? Come the f on - You have a huge restaurant I'm sure you can afford one or two more pieces - okay those were good - probably my favorite thing I got. I got a fruity iced tea that was good x Now the dumplingsssss BRUH I got the beef and onion because I asked what were the best dumplings. They tasted like Trader Joe's dumplings man, I've made better dumplings at my home reheating them. I give the dumplings 4/10 with eel and chili oil and paste I give them a 6... but really good dumplings shouldn't need all of that. Needless to say, I happily won't be making the out of the way trip for this place ever again. With how busy and popular this place is online I guess I had expected better. Anyways if you want dumplings better than this get some at Trader Joe's cook them lightly on water with eel sauce to make a nice broth or used chicken / beef broth to heat them up. Youll save yourself the $50 of going out and waiting on yourself and disappointing dumplings.

After over a year, I finally came back to this location. I didn't want anything except the Pork…read moreBelly Banh Mi sandwich. Once again, I stand by claim that this is the most delicious sandwich there is! Specifically at this location, they have it down right. I tried this sandwich at a different Carrot and Daikon and it just didn't hit the way it does at this Corona location. Maybe I'm crazy, but if you have never tried this spot, try the Pork Belly here. The pork belly crunch followed by the fat that melts in your mouth, complimented with a slightly sweet and mostly savory sauce. Of course the carrot, Daikon, jalapeno and cilantro with the fresh banh mi make this top notch!! Wowza!

Full disclosure: I'm always suspicious of places that straddle the "fusion" food fence. I find…read more"fusion" usually translates to smothering something in an off-the-shelf international aisle sauce or wrapping it in a tortilla. Now, let me be clear, this restaurant does NOT mention the term fusion - at all. However, their menu whispers, "Hey there..." Crispy pork belly, lomo saltado, spam and egg. And, oh, brothers and sisters, they have gotten as close to paying the proper homage to all fusion cultures as I've seen. SPAM AND EGG: I'm chubby so SPAM is like my kryptonite. I had to have it. This sandwich threw me for a look. I'm used to other places overcooking the spam. NOT so at C&D. The spam was juicy. The fried egg was fluffy. The spicy sauce was genuinly spicy. I loved it so much that I've had it twice in three days. CRISPY PORK: I love the Chinese/Filipino Crispy Pork. The pork was nice and juicy. The skin was crunchy. Really great flavor. The only drawback was my own fault...of eating it cold because I had to eat the Spam and Egg sandwich first. LOMO SALTADO: I've got this sandwich sitting on my counter calling to me, in the queue while I finish my 2nd Spam and Egg Sandwich. I will come back to this review later today to fill in this blank. VIETNAMESE COFFEE (Large): I liked it. Yep. Not as overly sweet as I'm used to at Mr. Bagguette in LA, and that's a great thing. The only drawback is that it has a caffeine KICK. I felt the caffeine flowing through my veins 10 minutes after I took my first sip. Bread: In banh mi, the bread is the make-or-break. Here, the bread is not your typical medium to hard crunchy exterior and soft interior. The bread is on the softer side on the outside. It is a great change in pace for me because I haven't cut the top palette of my mouth like I usually do with harder bread. AND...that means that the sandwich doesn't lose it's character when I ate the sandwich cold later. STAFF: Very friendly! They are there to serve the customer. I've been greeted with a smile and genuine happiness. Great work C&D. You have a customer!

It's always clean and well taken care of inside as well. Let's get to the food. My favorite here is the Al pastor. Seasoned and marinated to perfection. It's by far some of the best I've had in Cali. Never under or overcooked. It's just right! Asada. Again, marinated to perfection. Perfectly cooked. Never over cooked. The flavor is there. They've got a great salsa bar. Onion & cilantro Red and green salsa ( red is the best here ) Plenty of lemons They've even got grilled onions and jalapeños at the salsa bar. Overall would I recommend this place? Absolutely. The food and staff is great here. Th quality is excellent! Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. At least not with the asada or pastor. I have not tried the other things on the menu.

I was browsing while we were driving and saw they had a solid 5-star rating, so I convinced my husband to make a quick detour. Honestly, they deserve 10 stars! The food is incredible. My husband couldn't stop talking about how good it was the entire time he was eating. He went with the birria burrito and I tried the birria ramen (non-spicy). They do not skimp on the meat at all, and the flavor is just amazing. The burrito was huge and only $12, which is such a steal. Plus, the restaurant is spotless and the horchata is delicious. We're already planning to head back next week to try the tacos! Service so good! They deliver to our table. Casual ambiance
