The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I know farm-fresh eggs aren't always going to look perfectly clean, but for what I paid, I expected them to be cleaner. I originally thought you weren't really supposed to wash farm-fresh eggs with water, but when there's visible fecal matter on the shells, obviously you want to clean them before using them. I later learned that you can buy an enzymatic egg wash specifically made for cleaning fresh eggs and that the water should be warmer rather than cold when washing. Using cold water can cause the contents of the egg to contract and potentially draw contaminants through the porous shell. So if you're coming to this location, I would recommend knowing how to properly clean and store farm-fresh eggs, especially if yours are as dirty as some of mine were. The people here were very nice, and the drive-through is definitely convenient. However, between the higher price and how dirty the eggs were, I'll most likely go across the street next time.
