I've visited other sustainable companies that still use unnecessary packaging and plastic, but not here. There's none of the extra wastefulness, everything is natural, thoughtfully made, and environmentally friendly. So far I've purchased reusable makeup remover pads, a reusable sponge, reusable produce bags, body soap with a pouch, body oil, deodorant, toner, makeup remover, face wash, a candle, sunscreen, and shampoo and conditioner bars. The best part? I get to refill the containers instead of throwing them away. How amazing is that? Christy and Catherine are so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Christy, the owner, is amazing and I could talk about sustainability with her for hours. I've been searching for a company like this and I can't wait to go back and stock up on even more products.

This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

We were interest in seeing what they had in store, since we've never stopped by before. We parks on the grass field and walked towards the vendors first. We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.

So, I usually aim for a midweek visit, like Wednesday or Thursday because then it's just a bit more chill, and you can actually breathe in those aisles. One thing I always count on; no shortage of gorgeous flowers. I mean, their selection is top-notch! I usually pick up a pot of blooms, and I love that a lot of them come from local businesses, some are even women-owned, which just gives it that warm fuzzy feeling. Plus, their fresh produce is a total dream. And I swear, when it's not packed, the aisles are like a dream clean, well-stocked, and just waiting for you to do a little shopping dance. I keep thinking, if only we had more Trader Joe's like, maybe one in Walnut (does Walnut even have one? I hope so! So yeah, I give this Trader Joe's a big 4 stars just keep dreaming of that Walnut location, and I'll be first in line!
