My wife and I get a salad to go from Blue Sky weekly. She always order extra chicken with the order. Yesterday 12-12-2020 when she got our order and got home, we found out that they did not give us the extra chicken but charged us for it. Very disappointed! Just about everything about this was meh. The only positive thing about this is that burger bun is quite good, everything else could have been gotten at a cheaper price just about anywhere else. The meat could have been bought from basically any fast food restaurant including having no seasoning to speak of. Same with most of the other ingredients, minus the ketchup and mustard which were actually worse tasting and cheaper than what you get at McDonalds. The fries which were an extra cost, were not impressive in any form. The only part of the milkshake that was decent was that they used Blue Bell ice cream, but the whipped cream was just gross and the milkshake was incredibly thin and watery. This was an incredibly bad experience, poor quality food that I would expect from a fast food restaurant not based upon the price I was paying. I'll never come back here. read more

We stop here whenever we are in Lubbock, so every two weeks or more. I was here by myself tonight instead of with my husband and usually it's so so good. Tonight however they fell short. I'll admit that tonight I was here right before closing but still there's an expectation of food safety. I knew I was going to make it right before closing so I ordered my food to go so I wouldn't hold up the staff closing and going home. I did not however expect a completely raw burger and whipped cream on my shake that had curdled. The bacon and cheese fries are amazing always but this time I couldn't eat my burger. I will eat medium hamburger, and sometimes even a little on the rare side, but completely raw in the middle? I really don't want e-coli so I didn't eat the rest of my burger. And I ended up dumping my milkshake which is always one of my favorites. I don't know if we will go back next week when I have to be in Lubbock or not. So, Blue Sky has a really wide range of reviews. I can attest to the sometimes super greasy fries...but other times, they're perfect. Just like most other burger places, honestly. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and added green chiles and it was SO good. Haven't had a burger here so I can't say anything about those, but my friends love them. The cheese fries and shakes are always great, too. A little more expensive for burgers/fast food than like Whataburger, but definitely much better quality, too, so I think it's worth it. read more

This place was not disappointing, and we found that getting there around 8:00 or 8:30 was the prime time to be there (aka the dinner rush was pretty much over). The burgers were good... not great, but pretty good. I shared a fresh banana milkshake and chili cheese fries with my "dinner date" and believe me... these were definitely worth getting! LOVE the onion rings! My husband and I live in Abilene, but have visited LBK twice in the past month or so and have made stops at Blue Sky both times! The burger patties are thin (which I love) and the fries are fresh cut! Super friendly staff and very clean facility! I recommend getting the kids' burgers if you're not THAT hungry. The meal came with 2 sliders, fries and a drink (size upgrade required to get a kids meal if an adult) and I was not overly stuffed! read more

We called in our order to-go. We ordered 2 Green Chile Cheeseburgers with Bacon here a few days ago. We also got tater tots, and their fried jalapenos. My favorite was the fried jalapenos. I was hoping for a dipping sauce (ranch) to come with the fried jalapenos, but they were delicious without any sauce. The fried jalapenos were some of the best I have eaten. The total price came out to be $26. Felt like this was a little pricey especially when the burgers are about average. I usually eat BlueSky once a year. A little pricey for me when just getting a burger. Overall, great job! read more

Horrible service! Came in Friday, June 21st, at 2 pm, very little people there. Gave us our order # 67, waited 45 minutes for order, whole time order #65 flashing on order board. After giving up because orders #70+ were ready, still #65 flashing, we went up to order counter. According to the girl who's job is to pull orders from kitchen, place on order to go table, entered WRONG ORDER #. When we confronted her, she said she JUST put that order out for pickup! We called her a lier because we saw when the platter was placed for pickup and #65 flashing for over 30 minutes! We kept thinking, surely they would try to find what customer placed ,#65! But NO ONE never did! We found out #65 was actually our order #67! One hour later, our order was ready, reheated from microwave etc and we were given an apology by the manager and a gift card? COME ON BLUE SKY EMPLOYEES!! GET OFF YOUR ASS AND TAKE THE ORDER OUT OR AT LEAST TRY TO LOCATE YOUR CUSTOMER WHO PAID FOR THE ORDER WHEN THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO THE ORDER BOARD THAT THEIR ORDER IS READY!! read more

I've only had pick up from here and always enjoyed a good burger. I like spicy food and the jalapeño rings were seriously hot -- not sure if they leave them seeded or what, but I've never had a spicier fried jalapeño. If you can work it in to your commute home from work, it's worth it. read more

I don't get the fascination some folks have with Blue Sky...there are several better burgers in town that don't cost an arm and a leg and some/most include fries or chips rather than a la carte pricing like Blue Sky. I am from Fort Worth, but have family in Lubbock, so I eat there fairly frequently. Had a Blue Sky burger the last trip and it was AMAZING. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten...anywhere!
