I hate leaving negative reviews, but after multiple experiences, I feel I need to share this. I continue coming here mainly because it's close to my husband's work and the breakfast sandwiches are good--but unfortunately, the customer service is consistently poor. Nearly every visit, the employees come across as rude, unfriendly, and give the bare minimum in terms of service. Today was the final straw. I ordered a white chocolate mocha, but was handed a regular mocha instead. When I politely said I had ordered a white chocolate mocha, the employee immediately responded with attitude. I handed the drink back and said I didn't want that one, and she asked--again with attitude--if I wanted it remade. When I said yes, she rudely told me that "next time you need to say white chocolate mocha." I responded that I believed I had, and she insisted I didn't. There was no reason for the hostility over a simple drink correction. Customer mistakes happen, employee mistakes happen--but basic kindness and professionalism should still be expected. The food may be good, but the repeated poor treatment from staff makes the experience unpleasant. Management seriously needs to address customer service training or reconsider staffing, because friendly service goes a long way. read more

UNDERRATED GEM in Spanaway! The ladies working the drive thru window are always so kind and helpful! I've been OBSESSED with the Rainier breakfast sandwich. Please do yourself a favor and order it. During all the inclement weather in recent weeks, I was looking for a coffee spot w great wifi since I needed to work on some things! I had the striped mocha, which I hadn't really heard of before it was so delicious - the mocha of chocolate & white chocolate was decadent and decent dose of caffeine. The staff and service was great, Im not sure what people experienced in the past here, but the holiday and setup of the coffee place was cozy. I have been coming here multiple times over the last several years because I work across the street. Sometimes the orders are fantastic, sometimes there's an order that's missed, but they've always corrected it, and the quality is excellent. I always get the peasant plate, and they have lots of other really tasty options. I've only gotten a breakfast sandwich once, personal preferences, but it was delicious. The coffee is excellent, doesn't taste burnt or extra bitter like a common large chain, and isn't served so hot you can't enjoy it. The location is actually easy to get to, but always look at the intersection when pulling out, there are a lot of red light runners at that spot. Be safe. read more

Meh. Coffee is just ok in a land of really great coffee options. I have been here a few times for breakfast items and they just don't wow me. They are pretty high priced for the portion size and just don't have real great taste. The last time I came in it took 15 minutes to get my breakfast sandwich. I do appreciate that they are pro military and pro law enforcement and I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but their military and law enforcement discounts are odd. I wanted to go to a coffee place that also made breakfast but there was only Starbucks on the way to my job, and did not want to go there! Then I remember Blue Steele Coffee was on the way and they also made food and was a drive through!!! I'm so glad I came here! There food + coffee is so good! The service was quick! Carmel Macchiato: Look at it! It's so pretty. I think they use homemade Carmel sauce and it's SO GOOD! But the coffee beans were a bit too burned on my taste buds. But overall so good! The Seahawk: Never going to Starbucks for a breakfast sandwich again. This sandwich was real, it tasted real. Not fake and from a plastic bag like other coffee places. It was warm and perfect. This place is right across the street from my work so I visit it from time to time. I think I've only had one bad experience there and they corrected it immediately. The staff is very friendly, the food is good, and the coffee is excellent. I'm particular about my beloved coffee, and its hard to find a place without burnt coffee (cough Starbucks) or weak flavored, its coffee tasting coffee and I don't know another place with a better cup of Joe. read more

Overall it's a nice place to go to for "breakfasty" food and drinks (coffee, smoothies, teas, energy drinks) very good variety, but sometimes I'll go and it tastes amazing, and another time I'll go and it's different or not as good as the last time... Also their customer service can be hit or miss, like sometimes you'll come in and feel welcome and they're super helpful and friendly, and another time they'll look slightly annoyed that you're there... So imo I'd say they need to work on their consistency and making sure all their baristas are on the same page about everything cuz I have a feeling they're not? Also, making the customer feel welcome so they would want to come back again. It's happened enough times that, that's why I'm giving it 4 stars but other than that they're a pretty interesting establishment to visit. I give their menu a solid 8/10. read more

The biggest downfall other than the burnt coffee was the employees talking crap about their own coffee shop, and just sitting on their phones. I did love the aesthetic of the couches, wood tables, and board games, but not kid friendly with employees saying the F word every few seconds. I had to leave a review because the service was so remarkably bad. I was there for at least 15 minutes (I stopped tracking after that) for 2 iced americanos. Nothing in them. 3 people asked me if I wanted cream in them (and I kept saying no). I was also asked 3 times if I ordered iced americanos and/or what my order was. When my order was finally handed to me, not a single word was said. No effort to smooth things over or offer of a sincere apology for the poor service. That was actually the worst part. I understand there was an air show and things were busy, but an apology would have been appreciated. Also want to add that, as a military spouse, being treated so poorly in a place with all the military and law enforcement appreciation items covering the walls was especially disappointing. read more

Two individuals mentioned Monday Military discount but one said it's not a thing (this was a week apart). So perhaps just more consistency in policy, or perhaps write it by the register. The coffee is very good though I prefer the high quality tea and the Chai is their very own exclusive creation. The smoothies are delicious (when I actually get a sip) and a hit with my children. DON'T GO HERE!! The sandwich was AWFUL and the cheese SQUIRT something out as I bit into the sandwich. My friend bought a lemonade and it tasted like sour pee also for some reason it was carbonated. This is a small, quiet and cozy place with lots of seating available. It's so convenient right off the highway. It's a great place to just relax, chat, and study/work. They have board games too! They offer variety of food and pastries as well. We got the egg sandwiches, an Americano, and a Twister mocha with almond milk (white and regular chocolate). All were good. The mocha was super sweet, even though it was order half-sweet, so I'd definitely recommend doing half-sweet. It tastes just like a hot chocolate. Their pastries looked good for a grab and go. I generally prefer hyper-local places without drive-thrus and who make their own drink creations, but this was fine as we waited for my dad to be done at KP down the street. Let me tell you, one thing they do effortlessly on the west coast is fresh fresh fresh. This sandwich had a fresh tomato slice, onions, fresh spinach and slices of avocado atop the juicy ham bacon & scrambled egg. Finished with a cheese pull and a soft English muffin. Okay, so if I could give a 3.5 stars I would. Nothing is terribly wrong with this coffee joint. It's just not the greatest I've ever had which is why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star. The breakfast sandwich with veggies is my favorite. We had our life group meeting here so there were about 15 drinks or so. It took almost an hour to get all our drinks so that was a bummer, but again, not the end of the world. The staff is generally friendly. I really love the overall theme of the place. They turned a tragedy in the community into a tribute so I thought that was really honorable. I wouldn't go out of my way to get here, but if you're nearby it's definitely a place you have to visit at least once. read more

Reason for the name of this place is the sad history of the place when it was a Forza, on Nov.29th, 2009 a low-life thug walked in here and in cold blood murdered 4 Lakewood Police Officers as they were having their Coffee, there is a nice Memorial here for them, and they renamed the street in honor of them and all the Police Officers that Serve to protect us from thugs like that. Now to the pleasant stuff, they have real good Coffee and smoothies here, probably the best in the area and would highly recommend it. The best place to go and study when u really need to buckle down on a paper. I've been going here for months. The baristas are all so kind and eventually they know your usual. I went in here in the evening and getting a coffee drink was simply out of the question that late in the day. However they do serve food which was the main reason why I came here. I live in the Central neighborhood of Tacoma and this place was in the Parkland area so it was a bit of a drive but good for residents nearby. I got a grilled cheese sandwich with three different kinds of cheese with a kind of a Chipotle spread. The sandwich wasn't bad but it didn't knock me off of my feet either. The taste in some if my bites seemed synthetic. Not sure who the guilty one was on that, the spread, cheese or bread. It was Washington state's first 80 degree weather weekend and we were headed to Packwood Lake from Seattle to backpack when we decided to fuel up with caffeine for our 3 hour drive. Blue Steele just happened to be right off i5 along the way and our group stopped in. I ordered the "Logger Breakfast Sandwich," which was a simple sandwich made of: English Muffin, Egg, Ham, and Cheese at a bangin value of $4. As we were getting ready to drive off, I took my first bite and turned my car off. My god... I thought to myself, the egg is so fluffy and good. A second glance of it saw the beauty of this simple sandwich and I couldn't discern where the fluffy egg ended and where the cheese began. It. Was. So. Good. My girlfriend got the "Rainier Breakfast Sandwich" ($5) which consisted of what the Logger had with the addition of fresh spinach, avocado, tomato, and a sauce that ties it all well together. Once I scarfed down my sandwich, it was at that point that another friend who initially didn't get anything decided to get one for herself. I decided to join her for a SECOND sandwich, opting for the Rainier Sandwich this time. We came in again, praised the two chefs for their fluffy eggs and ordered more sandwiches. We even took a menu and followed them on Instagram. Later that night around the campfire at Packwood Lake after a mushy semi satisfying Mountain House dinner, talk around the fire turned to reminiscing about the simple delicious sandwiches we had earlier in the day and all was in agreement we found something special before gazing off in deep thought at the bright moonlit night. Going forward, Blue Steele has solidified itself as the go-to stop on the way to the Rainier area. Looking forward to more of it! read more

Horribly slow I had a 30 min lunch asked for a cold sandwich and waited 14 minutes when it WASNT busy and then they didn't even tell me it was done until I came back to the counter and asked if I was forgotten .
