Full Biscuit Breakfast (I already ate the eggs but comes with 2)

My friends and I did a pickup order here Sunday morning. I would recommend putting your order in in advance because we still had to wait 15-20mins too. I got the Full Biscuit Breakfast which came with 2 biscuit and gravy, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage links, and hashbrowns. It was all very good!! Would definitely order this again.

The food was decent their Matcha banana drink was really good so I decided to get another drink and then they serve me a 16 ounce after I paid for a 20 ounce and I tried to talk to them. They said that they were low on cups so it's just less ice same amount of drink and I decided to go back up to the register because I didn't sit right with me that seemed unfair like I should be charged for a 16 ounce since it's a 16 ounce drink why am I charging for ice and she got the owner and it was the same person I talked to you and she said the same thing so I'm really disappointed with their service and will not be coming back since they cannot fix issues and I will not be paying for ice.

Great spot to order out or find in. Service fast and there is ample space to have parties of 4-6, who want to eat then linger to visit. Waffles hit the spot and tried my daughter's hash brown breakfast that was very tasty.

We were at the VA Medical Center for an appointment and wanted some place close for a mid morning breakfast. This came up at the top of the list for Yelp so off we went. Easy to find, right on the main street with a nice large parking lot. You enter and the very nice person at the counter who is standing in front of the huge menu on the wall takes your order, gives you a number and then you find a seat and they bring out your food. It was a Monday morning and they were not super crowded but there was a steady flow of customers. Our food came out quickly. They have many made to order coffee drinks as well as fountain drinks out of a dispenser. My husband got an omelette with lots of meat that came with has browns and a biscuit. I got the veggie one which also came with hash browns and a biscuit. All were very tasty. We were were wishing we lived closer since there were several items we would have loved to try

Had a nice meal here after coming for the first time. The service was friendly, and the restaurant a typical diner type spot. Food was average to us. The gravy was a bit watery, and the bacon seemed a bit saltier than most I've had.

Pretty good! Went in for brunch on a Friday. Wasn't very busy. Order at the front get given a number stand and pick your table. We both got the breakfast sandwich combo. Comes with a biscuit sando with scrambled egg, thick cut bacon and a couple slices of perfectly melted cheese with a side of harsh browns. What I wasn't expecting was the sausage gravy on the hash browns. Lol I noticed that after I ordered it and was about to walk to the table‍ it was good but mouth was expecting ketchup biscuits were perfectly tender. They also had some scones in the case that looked really good!! Super friendly & attentive staff too!!

Super casual breakfast spot with lots of mouthwatering plates. Their specialty is the buscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy has bits of sausage throughout. And the waffles were very good too. Seating is on both sides. You pay at the register first, then take a seat. There was no wait on a Sunday morning thankfully.

We came in at a good time as there were two tables with two chairs available so we were immediately seated and given waters and menus. The staff here are great about checking in often and being pleasant. The bathroom here is clean and they even have a changing station inside. The restaurant is clean and the staff come to refill or grab dirty plates quite often. My boyfriend got the lavender latte and two eggs and sausages while I got the smoked honey ham eggs benedict and a rose lemonade. I forgot that the specialty lemonades are not free refill but they do give you a lot. The lavender latte was soothing and the rose lemonade was light. The food came not too long after and the portions here are huge. My boyfriend's order came with a side of blackberry jam that was fantastic. I believe it is housemade and I need to see if they sell it because it is some of the best jams ever. Even has actual pieces of blackberry! They gave me so much ham and the hollandaise here paired well with everything, I even had a bit of jam with it and the flavors were simply divine.

The hostess/server asked us if we wanted anything to drink and I asked for water and coffee. I was surprised that she came out with a carafe of coffee!! All for me!! I guess it saves them time from going around the room refilling eveyones cup. We took a little time to look over their extensive breakfast offerings. They do offer senior items but it didn't say what age qualifies as 'senior'. Maybe 55? 60? Not sure. I ordered a pancake and my daughter ordered a vegetarian omelette with hash browns. We just decided to share our food. The omelette was packed with onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and cheese and was very good. The hash browns were crispy, just the way I like it. The meal also came with your choice of toast, biscuit or sourdough and my daughter chose the sourdough. She said it tasted old so she didn't take a second bite of it. The pancake was yummy. Really no complaints about it. The exterior and interior of the restaurant lives up to its name. The building is a big red barn. The interior is all wood and I think they only have booths. It was a delicious breakfast in a nice setting.

My bill was $88 and some change. I tipped $20 in CASH so on the receipt I wrote "cash" on the tip line then the total ($88.xx) on the total line. I woke up the next morning to an additional $20 tip added to my credit card for a total of $108 on my card + the cash tip. I immediately called as soon as I saw the charge (10am) and the woman who answered the phone was extremely catty. She took my number, told me the manager/owner was out and would return my call within a couple hours. I gave it until 12:45, called again, and was told he was still out. Between my husband and I, we had to call SIX times to get ahold of a manager/owner. It took 7 hours to get hold of the manager/owner Kevin -- who was apparently grocery shopping for 7 hours according to his staff. Initially I was only asking for the extra $20 the waitress had taken from me back but after having to disrupt my entire day and deal with this horrible experience for subpar food, we asked for a full refund. I woke up this morning (8/21) to a $0.00 credit being returned to my card. LOL We own a restaurant and have a combined 30+ years experience in food & bev. This experience has been shameful on Homestead's part. The subpar guest experience was not enough to complain about on its own but it has been INCREDIBLY frustrating to take time out of our busy schedules trying to get ahold of someone to fix this issue. While the tip refund is appreciated, we are in the right to ask for a full refund. At this point, we will be disputing the entire charge with our bank and will never return.

Without a doubt this is one of Tacoma's best dining experiences. Chef Shawn's team is small but mighty. The staff that we encountered were all super kind and attentive. He walked around chatting with everybody personally, showed off dishes as he walked through the restaurant, and was even happy to let diners take a peek at his kitchen (how does he make all this magic happen on TWO CAMP STOVES?!) The menu isn't massive, but everything on the menu is executed with precision and grace. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted but I've had my eyes on the Lobster Bomb for years. My husband got the "Tiny Burrito" which is quite literally the size of a newborn. The Lobster Bomb was excellent. Generous chunks of succulent lobster and the hollandaise was perfect! Subtle on the lemon flavor as to not overpower, but still rich and creamy. I tried my husband's burrito and the chorizo gravy is stellar. You could easily share this with 1-2 other people in my opinion. It lasted my husband two leftover meals! The restaurant itself is small but it's cozy and feels like you're at home. No frills, nothing over the top, nothing trendy. Just a relaxed vibe with lots of authentic touches from Chef Shawn. While this was our first visit it definitely won't be our last.
