    Hawaiian omelette
    Lori G.

We came here based on reviews and we're a little disappointed. It took a long time to be waited on and food just OK. We shared a Hawaiian omelette with rye toast and a biscuit with gravy. The gravy seemed like it was from a can and everything was just rather bland. The best thing was the rye toast. The potatoes were good but they had no seasoning. Actually we didn't taste seasoning anywhere in our breakfast. If you like good basic fare without any seasoning, this is the place for you.

My boyfriend and I came here around 9:20am as we were waiting for an event nearby that started at 10am. As we entered, it was super packed and there was a large party waiting to be seated. Luckily, the waitresses noticed us and told us that a party of two could be seated right away. We were seated at a booth near a window which was cute and intimate. We were offered coffee right away and it's wonderful that the servers here are always wandering around at coffee at the right times to refill as my boyfriend never had an empty or cold cup of coffee. When we were ordering, we were told that they were backed up on orders but we didn't mind since we had time. I got the SOS full order with a side of grits with my boyfriend got the Mary Mary's breakfast bite. The grits were a good size but it wasn't really worth getting. I feel like they should add cheese on top for the price too. The gravy was great with my breakfast plate and my boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast bite. We'll come back once we try some of the other spots around as there are quite a bit a few diners in the Spanaway area to which one is our favorite but so far this is not a bad spot for those who enjoy American breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service here is definitely friendly no matter who comes by. They greet you with such kindness and bid you farewell with the same amount. They are also pretty good about checking in at the right times. The interior here feels very classical retro American diner. The bathroom here was clean and well-maintained.

Nice solid breakfast joint. My family and I decided to try Mary Mary's for a late Sunday breakfast. We arrived around 1130 and were seated quickly. The food came out fast and we had fantastic service. Will definitely come back again!

I've been hooked on this place since my brother introduced me to it. He goes in a few times a week. It's that good. The waitresses get to know you and even remember what you usually order! Always super friendly staff. Some of my favorites are their patty melt, mushroom burger, chili burger, and ham & eggs breakfast. Their waffles are awesome too, as well as their pancakes. Some cooks aren't that good at cooking eggs the way you want them but they're still tasty. Sides prices are higher than most places. They close early afternoon, but you can anything on the menu as early as you like. Only thing I've never liked here is their fish & chips, fish is always cooked way too long and is too crunchy. I'm not a fan of folded omelets, so I rarely order them here, but when I do, the taco omelet is my favorite. My brother loves their chicken fried steak! And they will actually deep fry your home fries if you ask! Yep, drove by this place for years before I stopped in! Weekends get packed in the morning and parking can be tricky. Trust me, eat here ONCE and you WILL be back!

This is like a hidden gem for breakfast lovers. It looks small on the outside but quite nice and spacious. Love the service there and the breakfast food was super yummy. Interesting decor on the walls and love the wall dedicated to fallen officers.

This is a classic dinner with friendly service. Beats all the franchise breakfast places like Dennie's.

We came in at a good time as there were two tables with two chairs available so we were immediately seated and given waters and menus. The staff here are great about checking in often and being pleasant. The bathroom here is clean and they even have a changing station inside. The restaurant is clean and the staff come to refill or grab dirty plates quite often. My boyfriend got the lavender latte and two eggs and sausages while I got the smoked honey ham eggs benedict and a rose lemonade. I forgot that the specialty lemonades are not free refill but they do give you a lot. The lavender latte was soothing and the rose lemonade was light. The food came not too long after and the portions here are huge. My boyfriend's order came with a side of blackberry jam that was fantastic. I believe it is housemade and I need to see if they sell it because it is some of the best jams ever. Even has actual pieces of blackberry! They gave me so much ham and the hollandaise here paired well with everything, I even had a bit of jam with it and the flavors were simply divine.

Since we were passing by and totally new to the town and surrounding, we just google/yelp but we are so glad that we picked this one over others. The owner/barista was incredibly kind and welcoming. We both have specific dietary preferences and usually prefer drinks with very low sugar. She took the time to listen carefully and recommended something that would suit our taste. I honestly couldn't believe how perfectly she balanced the drink--it had just the right flavor with minimal sugar, exactly the way we like it. What really stood out was her hospitality. The shop itself was neat, organized, and very clean, which immediately made the experience feel comfortable. When she handed us our coffees, she made sure to check that everything was according to our taste and preference. That personal touch meant a lot. Their **menu also looked very unique**, with some really interesting drink options that you don't usually see at typical coffee places. If we ever drive through that route again, we will absolutely make it a point to stop at **Coffee Kitchen**. I truly feel the town is lucky to have small businesses and people like this who care so much about their customers. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I prefer hot tea with a drop of lemon and honey combination, which Cowgirl's has plenty of options for. That's what drew me to their place. Since it's not too close to Tacoma, it doesn't seem to be very crowded, especially during the times I've gone. Of my five visits, I've only had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes once. Overall, I find their servers to be fast and friendly. In the past, I've had their hot coffees, particularly lattes, a couple of times. They were all exceptional, but most recently, I've tried their signature drinks from the Red Bull Bomb - Lotus Energy menu. For me, it was the Wild Flower flavor. I can't even lie; this drink exceeded my expectations. Second disclaimer: I'm not necessarily a Red Bull person, but it was very subtle thanks to the refreshing flavors of lavender, blackberry, and blue lotus. I finished the drink within the record time of 10 seconds. I don't know if it was because I was thirsty or if it was just that great, but I chose to believe it was the latter. It's definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Spanaway area.
