Was finally about to hit this spot, one of the few bagel spots around Northern Washington I haven't checked out. Mostly street parking around here, I never have an issue but I often come in off-hours. Might be tough or need to go a bit farther during rush hours. The vibes here are amazing! Lots of well-curated local pantry goods, merch, cozy indoor seating and extremely warm and friendly service. As for the bagels, they're very OK. Extremely tough outer skin with more chew than I'd like and the interior is fine in terms of flavor and subpar in terms of texture (I want something fluffier or more pillowy inside). I tried a pastrami sandwich there where they add pepperoncinis and it gave it a surprising acidic quality that I liked but probably wouldn't get again. Worth coming for the vibes alone andd to check it out for yourself at least!

The atmosphere was adorable and had plenty of fun items to purchase. We tried the everything bagel with jalapeño and bacon cream cheese. Service was quick too. We would go back if we were in the area.

We finally swung by Howdy Bagel on a Wednesday morning and were able to get inside without much of a line which is rare here! The atmosphere is very cute and I love the ambiance here. We ordered both the sausage and bacon breakfast bagels and both were super delicious! I personally think their rosemary sea salt bagel is the best bagel they offer and would go back to order just that over and over again. The workers were kind and efficient and the food was wonderful. As we waited the shop began to fill up quite quickly so I'd say typically, expect a wait or even a line out the door to get them. I'd say they are the best breakfast bagels/sandwiches you can find in the area!

We've been wanting to try this bagel place ever since seeing the long lines of customers wanting to get inside. So. Today was the day. It's definitely a place that has a loyal following. It was bumping at 11:00 on a Thursday, they showed a pleasant display of their offerings. I ordered a dozen plain bagels. Nice chew, soft inside. But I'm glad I didn't have to wait in some long lines, I'd been disappointed. The bagels are good, if you're in the area give them a try. But don't wait in long lines for them, I don't think they're that good.

Totally worth the Hype! We went on a weekday and there was a short line. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. The bacon egg and cheese hot sandwich was the winner! Definitely coming back for this! Fresh made to order. So scrumptious! There is some seating inside. All the customers are so sweet and willing to share their space. What a wonderful morning we had. Americano was great too. We also took home half a dozen of an assortment of the bagels and a tub of the scallion cream cheese spread. All of the bagels have a wonderful texture to them. I can't describe it properly. My favorite is the Rosemary Sea Salt. Head to Howdy!

I love Howdy Bagel! I never imagined myself dreaming about bagels... It's such a cute, quirky space, with its decor centered around everything bagels and queerness (get it, "everything bagel" ;) anywho...). My tried and true is their lox in a box with their rosemary sea salt bagel. Their Euro-lox tastes luxuriously rich and buttery - not intensely salty and pairs well with, well... everything they have on it - piquant pickled onions, capers, fresh dill, and fresh lemon dill cream cheese that I always end up taking a small tub home! It's relatively a long wait on the weekends where the line goes out the door and down the block, waiting anywhere from 45 minutes to one hour. But I find myself waiting for their bagel sandwiches time and time again! You truly have my heart Howdy Bagel!

I've had my eye on this spot for months after seeing it all over instagram, and I finally made the trip. Went in on a Saturday and, yes, there was a line, about 20 minutes but totally worth it! I ordered the Lox in a Box and my bf got the Hot to Go, and both were delicious. The bagels are hearty, filling, and they don't skimp on toppings. You really get what you pay for. The shop itself is adorable, cozy vibes and even some ingredients for sale. Staff were friendly, helpful, and kept things moving. Safe to say we'll be back soon to try more of the menu.

Say Howdy to possibly the only line longer than Costco gas that you will happily wait in any chance you get. My go-to order, after trying most items, is a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich on a rosemary sea salt bagel, with 6 loose bagels to go and an almond milk latte in my own travel cup. The lox in a box is a close second and always amazing. The merch is to swoon for, and the vibes in this shop overall are just SOO vibey. Come and get a taste for yourself.

I LOVE BAGELS!!! I am so sad that there are no bagel place like this in Honolulu. This place is super popular and there can be a crowd. When I arrived it was just before lunch time and the line wasn't out the door yet! It was very fast and they have some cool products to look at while you wait. I got the special $13 curried clucker open faced sandwich. It had curried chicken salad with micro greens and pickled grapes. Pickled grapes?!?! so good. I got it on a rosemary salt bagel that was nice crispy and chewy. I would probably like more micro greens but over all it was so yummy.

I was so excited to finally try Howdy Bagel. It was worth the wait in line on a rainy day. I ordered the Grit City on an everything bagel and a cardamom latte. There are a few tables inside if you can snag an indoor spot. They collaborate with some local and small businesses, too, and I can't wait to come back and try some of those items.

I have to admit, I've been skeptical about Howdy for a while. I love the vibe, I love the scene, and I love how beautifully they support the LGBTQ community. It's just that I'm from NYC and have found their bagels a little bit... chewy. As in....hard to chew. I don't know if it's just that I have a weak jaw but I have had some serious struggles getting through the crust at times. But on my most recent visit, I took a to go order of lox in a box and it took me to bagel and lox heaven. Pickled Onions are seriously one of my favorite things in the world and, as my photo shows, they're in abundance on this open faced sandwich.So... consider me a 100% convert.

Yum yum yum!!!! Such a cute bagel shop! Love the aesthetic and theme, you can see all the details in the decor, wrapper, and wallpaper! First time here & the cashier was so friendly and nice! I got the Grit City Lox: hot smoked salmon, scallion shmear, pickled red cabbage, raw red onions, cucumbers!! I love the combo so much. Got the freshness of the cucumbers with the pickled cabbage. Definitely would go again for the sandwich! There was a line out the door. Seems like a really popular spot.

Cute little place when walking in! It does get busy there were people after people coming in after us. This was our first time here and asked what was popular. They recommended the sausage egg and cheese and they had a special for this week called the kewpie cowboy here for a limited time it had spam it in I really liked it more than what sausage. Would definitely come back and try more of their items also had a vegan menu!

I was excited about the deli, but 90% of it was cold items that needed to be heated up. They looked good, but didn't make for a good car snack. I only saw gluten free chocolate cupcakes, but had hoped for more. We saw this little sandwich shop we hadn't seen before and decided to check it out. The atmosphere is very nice, casual, and comfortable. It looks like it would be good to sit and do homework, have lunch with some friends, or go to a casual brunch with family. There are lots of seating choices: a couch and comfy chairs, high tables and stools, and regular tables. One table had a puzzle started you could work on and there were lots of games and books you could use. You order at the counter, they deliver food to your table and there is a place to bus your own table. The beverage menu included coffee and alcoholic beverages. They offered sandwiches, crepes, pastries and soup. We ordered coffee, a pastry, soup, and order of crepes to be eaten there. The coffee was fine served in a nice mug. The cookie was large but packaged in a plastic bag that would have been ok if we had been a to go order. But we were eating there so we either had to put it directly on the table or on the plastic bag. The tomato soup was very tasty, creamy with a little kick of spice. It had occasional chunks of tomato and visible pieces of basil. All of this goodness was overshadowed because it was served in a small ramekin, the type cooks use to portion food when they are preparing a recipe. It appeared we were getting a large taste of soup instead of a cup of soup. For some reason I assumed the savory crepes would be fresh and warm, but instead my order was made with premade cold crepes loosely wrapped around the mostly cheese filling. Taken as a whole we left disappointed. The atmosphere was nice enough that I will try this place again and try something else. I hope for better because it looks like it could be a great place to eat and hang with friends.

But then we looked cross the street on 1st, where there used to be an Anthem, and even though it was already 6pm, this sandwich shop was still open and...there was a BINGO game happening. Whaddya know? So we took a peak in and they were not only serving sandwiches but they also had a cooler full of microbrews and kombuchas, beer on tap, wine, and a whole list of cocktails made from prosecco and other non-hard liquors like Amaro. Truly something for everyone. So we gave our order to the sweet human at the counter and took our seats I'm not kidding, my Amaro sour was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while in Tacoma and so were the pretzel sticks. I want my cocktails cold, tart, and refreshing with a little kick of funk or herbs and I want my pretzels salty. You wouldn't think that's such a high bar to clear but you'd be surprised. Sandwich Starr nailed it. Our Zatan sandwich was tasty but even though the bread felt a little stale. Otherwise the decor is kinda '90s coffee house and they've got bingo! Overall, this is an odd spot but the drinks are really good and it's got heart and it's the heart that makes it Tacoma.
