Honestly, I was underwhelmed. But what I took away is that if must be really challenging to make a New York bagel. So no shade on B for making such an effort. I had unreasonable expectations, I'm from NYC and the only place that's ever been able to compare is Noah's and they don't even have that here. This was my 3rd visit... and I got the avocado toast on an everything bagel and the red-bull mimosa. Both hit the spot. However, what I really want to comment on was the service. They were packed, a continual line the whole time we were there to order, eat, and shop at a nearby bookstore. It was a Saturday after all... each customer was still greeted and treated with the same respect and courtesy even though you knew these ladies had been through it already that morning. This place is amazing! There's not one bagel you can get that you will be disappointed by. They are so soft and so flavorful and the cream cheese is to choose from our just divine!! I'm so glad my sister and I stopped here on our trip! We were just driving through from the airport heading to our destination and wanted a quick pick me up, and we couldn't have picked better! This has become one of my go-to places for breakfast/lunch in Gig Harbor! B's Bagels and Butters have the best bagels ever. I love all of their bagels and how they have such a huge selection of flavors(and also a rotating monthly flavor)! I've tried multiple flavors- jalapeño cheddar, pumpernickel, whole grain everything, everything, 4 cheese, garlic, onion, egg, truffle parmesan, spinach (monthly special), beet (monthly special), Thai chili sesame (monthly special), and all of them have the perfect texture and great flavor. My all time favorite is the jalapeño cheddar and the monthly specials listed above. You can tell that each bagel is made by hand, each bagel has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I've enjoyed the curry chicken salad and the Bagel and Lox. I think it's awesome how they use locally caught wild salmon I've also tried their monthly drink specials and that's always been delicious. did someone say bagels? having grown up in l.a. with a myriad of jewish delis and bagel places , i'd say i'm picky and discriminating about my bagels but these were the real deal! there was a line out the door sunday morning and i suspect that's the case every weekend for those in the know. they had a good selection of flavors you'd expect and then some surprises (ie. chocolate chip, creole everything.) we just got bagels to go but they offer sandwiches, cream cheese spreads and beverages and it was impressive how dialed in they were in terms of efficient service. the line moved quickly and we were on the road with our purchase. later that day i decided i needed to check how chewy and flavorful these bagels were, and my method for doing that is to literally eat one plain, pulling it apart. it was great on both the outside and inside and had good flavor for an onion bagel! since then i have had a sesame and a garlic and they, as well, were quite good! they have a cute selection of women owned small business gift items on shelves as you walk in and also a self serve beverage case alongside some small tables and a couch area. i didn't purchase anything but bagels but i was drawn to a couple of the wooden cutting/cheese boards with designs engraved upon them. this is a place to know about when in gig harbor! if you have a huge crew on vacation or are aboard a boat or heading out on a multi hour day trip, this might be a necessary stop to stock up to please your crew! read more

We stood in a line for about 15 minutes before we put in our order. The line was out the door, but once you're inside it's a small cafe style set up with a few tables to eat and hangout at. We ordered two bagel sandwiches, chicken curry salad bagel sandwich with truffle Parmesan bagel and a breakfast bagel with egg, bacon, cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel. Supper busy on a sunny Saturday morning. My daughter had bought a 1/2 dozen the other day and dropped them at the house so we decided to stop by for breakfast. The line moves pretty quickly. As odd as it sounds, the Old Bay bagel is really tasty! I was dubious at first, but loved the flavor with a shmear. They also have the usual bagel flavors: salt, sesame seed, onion, pumpernickel, etc. I have always been partial to sesame bagels and salt bagels and B's versions don't disappoint! We ordered the burrata toast on an egg bagel, the monte crisco, and just a bagel with a shmear. We also tried the matcha latte and a mocha (both with oat milk). We recently drove over from the Seattle area on a Sunday afternoon and had heard such good things about B's that we were really wanting to try them. Knowing that by 12:30pm they would most likely be sold out (we couldn't arrive any earlier due to a work commitment), I messaged them on Instagram the day before to see if we could order ahead. They were so helpful and responsive and said yes they could definitely set aside 2 bagels for us at our designated time! We were so happy to arrive and find that they did indeed have our bagels and were able to make us the most delicious sandwiches with them! I had a multigrain bagel which I added scrambled egg, cheddar, and arugula to and my husband had the Vendetta 2.0. Both were so fresh and delicious. I also got a 12oz latte which was fantastic as well! Aside from the food being good, the customer service was very friendly and helpful! Also I am happy to say that the bathrooms were very clean - that is always a relief to see in someplace where I am eating! We happened upon B's Bagels after a quick google maps search for "bagels" along our route to the Olympic National Park. I was pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to a cute storefront with a line out the door. As we were waiting to order, we watched pans of warm bagels be brought out fresh from the oven and placed in the baskets lining the front wall. I ordered the salt bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese, and it came out still warm from baking. My boyfriend ordered the sun dried tomato bagel with the vegan scallion cream cheese. We were both very impressed by the tofu based cream cheese --it was fabulous! Do note that while B's Bagels were absolutely delicious, this isn't your classic chewy bagel. I can't believe it's been a year since they opened and I just finally got around to checking them out! First off - the bagels are legit. Fresh made, soft and fluffy. Everything a good bagel should be. They had a great selection as well! We tried their breakfast bagel sandwich and while, as mentioned, the bagel itself was great the rest left something to be desired. I'm not a fan of liquid eggs, plus they were a little over cooked. And the avocado on mine had seen better days. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't great. The bagel deserved better for sure. The place is a little small, but they are doing their best with what they have. I think they could ditch the little retail area of non-bagel related things and open it up some. And it would be nice if they had some drink options other than coffee. Even just bottled water would be nice. My final note is that a bagel shop should really have more than two flavors of cream cheese....I feel like I shouldn't even have to say that. But I do. Really, they only had two. Cannot recommend enough. I would consider myself a frequent patron, eating here about once/week. I would eat here every morning if I could! The bagels are delicious (jalapeño cheddar, garlic, onion, everything, plain, all yummy!) The staff are friendly and remain calm cool and collected despite this place being EXTREMELY busy during peak hours. They even remember my order from previous visits! AND remember the small pup cup for my tiny pup! The food is FRESH and CONSISTENT which can be hard to find. The portions are huge and definitely worth the money. I found this place by accident when visiting my dentist next store after visiting the Post Office. I stopped in for a bagel and decided on a jalapeño and cheese toasted with nothing on it. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture, whoops. I haven't had a bagel that good for a couple of decades. I walked in & was promotly greeted by the nice young lady in the picture.
