I'm a 55 year old crippled man, I have a 5th wheel trailer that I want to get rid of. So I called Blue Streak Towing to see how much it would cost me to haul it off, the driver came out and looked where the trailer was he called his boss he talked to me and said that they can haul it off for me but, I have to put a down $400 deposit, do all the paperwork now, so all they have to do is haul it off. Thank you so much for the care you took transporting my Versa. The daily driver's starter took a dump so I rang AAA, estimated an hour. BST was assigned for my tow and arrived 15 minutes earlier then expected in a sparkling newer RAM tow truck. The driver (Chris) jumped out and got my information from me, snapped a few pictures and inputted the vin; took about 3 minutes. Hooked it up and loaded it in about 7 minutes. I hopped in the cab and we were off, 5 minute drive. Got to know the driver a bit, he grew up in the bay just like myself so we had a hoot talking about all the changes we've seen. He's been towing 25+ years! Drop off took about 2 minutes. Now my Nissans a little beat up so I wasn't expecting too much but the care this man took was as if he was handling super cars; readjusting if the bumper was getting a little too close to the ground and double checking straps/chains truly put me at ease. They were very quick to come pick it up and to make an offer, not so much with returning it. It has been OVER TWO YEARS that I have been asking to have it returned. I have been repeatedly lied to each time I make contact with them. I requested to have the vehicle returned in January 2021. Bob responded by offering to purchase the vehicle as his father "fell in love with it". I advised that it could not be sold and requested that it be returned. I was told that some vehicles had to be moved around and it would be a couple of weeks. Several months later, I called again asking that it be returned. I was advised that it would be returned Thursday of that week. Nothing. For TWO YEARS I have made phone calls and sent emails requesting that it be returned to no avail. Each contact has either been completely ignored or I have been lied to about when it will be returned. Finally, I sent a certified letter advising that if the vehicle is not returned by 4/11/23 that I would be forced to pursue legal action. Two weeks went by with no contact and no vehicle. Today, 4/12/23 I contacted Law Enforcement who made contact with Bob in my presence. This man had the AUDACITY to become irate and state that I am wasting public resources over the matter. Bob irately stated that this is an overreaction and that he was unable to return the vehicle due to recent storms that caused mud and flooding. Sir, we have had two dry summers since the time I asked for the vehicle to be returned. Please don't conduct your business with the assumption that everyone is as brainless as you are. From my conversation with AAA this was the ONLY company in the Placerville area willing to accept my 46 mile tow during a heat-wave. I placed my request at noon and did not have an eta until 5:25. The repair shop in Sacramento closes at 5. I called their dispatch to see if there was anything they could do to get my car delivered before the shop closed and they made it happen! I was surprised at the bad reviews. I have had a lot of tows over the years and Blue Streak (also G&O, and Extreme) are the best. Blue Steak ALWAYS shows up and always does what needs to be done. I've had other companies never show up and never text me to let me know they won't be there. Blue Streak never complains about how difficult it is to access my car it tight spots (like other companies). I've had other companies refuse to tow me because of some gravel... Never with Blue Streak. I have always been treated well by Blue Streak and are relieved when they are the tow company that gets called for me by AAA... Let me preface this with, this review is mainly for Matthew. While up in Apple Hill, my brakes went out on the side of a mountain road after I had just had them replaced the day before. I called AAA who dispatched Blue Streak Towing. Matthew immediately called to let us know he was being inundated with calls at that time but would get to us in a couple hours and just wanted to ensure we were safe. He called back again to confirm location and let us know he was on his way. There were 4 of us total (2 adults, 2 children) and it was starting to get dark. He only had room for two people in his tow truck but wanted to make sure we were all safe. He made sure we got a ride to a local restaurant before leaving AND he contacted AAA dispatch to order us a Lyft all the way back to Lodi (72 miles away). He then took our car back to his tow yard to store it for then night and left me with his cell number. We contacted him the next day and he had one of his colleagues tow our car back to our mechanic here in Lodi. Bob was so generous with us. Someone in our apartment complex called a tow truck because we had forgotten to hang the disabled placard from the rearview mirror when we parked in the disabled spot. Once we figured out it was towed by Blue Streak, we called and explained the situation to Bob, who offered to waive any fees/charges if we came out and proved the placard was in the car, which we did. I fully expected to have to pay all the normal tow fees since the placard wasn't properly displayed - and Blue Streak would have been well within their right to enforce that. I used them out of necessity for a 100+ mile tow when Triple A coudnt service me due to the wildfires in the area... Told me they would show at a certain time never did. Good thing they allowed me to leave the keys and eventually they got to it. Didn't get my vehicle until 2 days later. Granted it was 100+ miles away but at least be honest upfront on when you can get it back don't say same day... I forget the drivers name but he wasn't too professional... Our insurance called this company on Friday for a pick up on Monday. I called Blue Streak at 10am and confirmed the pick up. They were supposed to be here by 11am. The boss told me they still had an hour left before they would be late. It's now 1pm, I called and the guy said oh you don't need to be there...they never left. I told them I'd find another tow company. Call Extreme Towing, they are professional and quick. I used them before several times. I told our insurance company to use them instead. I had mention to Dave when I talked to him on the phone that I was concerned about the 30 minute ETA, because my kids were hungry and I had planed to eat in Tahoe. He assured me that the driver would be there within 30 minutes. The driver was there in 28 minutes. But to my surprise Dave had sent some chicken, some rolls, and four bottles of water with the driver for my family. I called him to thank him and he said that he was having dinner with his family when I called could not let my family be stuck on the side of the road and be hungry. I broke down in my Jeep on Monday, July 5th, on Ice House Rd, on my way to Look Lake with the dog, for some fishing and camping. My Jeep had other ideas, on the way up the hill, after I let Dexter out to pee, I fired it up and it would not go into gear. I was lucky to get it in gear after a bit, and even more lucky to be about 2 miles away from the Ice House Resort, where I was headed to get water and beer, before continuing to Loon Lake. As I rolled into the parking lot, it would not downshift, so I coasted into the lot, and parked under some shade. AAA took my call, contacted their local contractor, and then the call was given to Blue Streak Towing! They could only tow me to their yard, locally, but could not get me and the Jeep back to Livermore until Wednesday, at the soonest. Between the holiday and Covid, they just didn't have the personnel; I persistently called AAA, and they stayed in contact with Blue Streak. AAA finally gave me the contact, ( Kristi), and the direct number, so I could call them directly. Tuesday, about mid-day, I was assured by the Supervisor at Blue Streak that he would have my Jeep delivered to Accurate Auto Care in Livermore, and, that I did not have to be there to show my AAA card, or my drivers license, which is SOP. AAA had very nicely assured Blue Streak that as a 44 year member , that I would take care of the tow charge, above what AAA covered. A friend drove up Wednesday to get me, Dexter, and all my gear; and my Jeep showed up at the shop Thursday, the driver called me ahead of time to let me know, and it's all good. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My engine in my car blew on the way to Sacramento. My car was transferred to a local shop in Placerville, CA. Once they confirmed the motor was blown I called my insurance company to have it towed 84 miles back to NV. At first it appeared that everything was going smoothly. Until that evening whale I was waiting to meet the tow truck driver. 18:00 I received a call asking me to leave my keys with my car. The driver stated they were running an hour late and would pick it up. I thought this was odd because I expected to have to sign some kind of paperwork. However, after a traumatic day I followed the instructions. 20:30 Called tow company to ask them if my husband could meet them in NV and how they expected payment. Discovered they hadn't even picked up my car yet. They said they would move it first the the next morning because there drivers were tired anyway. The driver did not notify me of where it was going to be stored, but made it sound like they were on there way to pick it up then. 13:00 (next day) called to see if they were almost to NV so I could pay over the phone. The driver asked "me" where my car was. I said "I thought you had it." Quickly back tracking the driver said " oh yeah." They asked our location, I gave it to them and they said the would leave Placerville within the hour. I was confused because I thought they were already on their way to NV and estimated an arrival time T my house of 10am. I OKed that they left within the hour, because it would still be daylight and I wanted my car home as soon as possible. 18:10 Called to get an ETA on my vehicle since it should have been delivered around 16:00- 16:30 and was informed it hadn't even been dispatched out yet for the 84 mile transfer. By this time my car should have been back in NV. It wasn't though! Company assured me that it would be on the road in an hour. Since it is a two hour dive I figured I would see my car around 20:30 at the latest. At this point I was upset, but I said "fine!" I just wanted my car home. 18:30 The driver called to advise he was on his way to pick up my car and would be leaving Shingle Springs in the hour. We asked were he was picking up my car up from, since I assumed it was on the flat bed truck ready to come home since it should have arrived back in NV at 10am. The driver said it was at Bonanza Auto Dismantlers. (Ideas began flooding my head that the tow company had taken my car there to strip it of parts because they knew it had a blown motor). Between 18:30 and 23:00 multiple phone calls were made to my insurance company, me, my fiancé, and the tow truck company trying to figure out where my car was. Once I was told it was stranded on the freeway with a blown tire. Then I was told it was in another part of California 3 hours away in a southern direction. Finally, I called my local NV policy dispatch and reported my car stolen. The officer showed up right at the time the tow truck driver "magically appeared at my house." The kicker to this situation was that after my car was delivered, we made arrangements to pay them via credit card. The driver told us he needed half in cash and half in a personal check. We refused! The driver stated at that time (23:00) that he wasn't given any money to get back home and the tow truck was out of gas. The following day, this company was reported to my insurance company! On Nov 9th my truck broke down and I had to call AAA they sent blue streak towing. When Mathew perks the tow truck driver arrived I handed him my drivers license first then my AAA card then I got told since my plates are expired he can't tow it with AAA so I had to pay $275 for a mile tow. I never got my drivers license back, we searched everywhere and couldn't find them. He even got into my vehicle to search for it. He was the last one to have them and denied it and on top of that he was getting into my car while smoking a cigarette and blowing smoke everywhere inside. When I called the lady who answered took my number and had a supervisor call me back. I called because I want a refund for having to miss a day of work to go into the dmv to get a new drivers license( I'm literally asking for $30 which isn't much but it's $30 that I don't have) He just said he wanted to see the video that I took of his driver smoking in my vehicle and said he would later contact me but as he said on the phone he doesn't see why his driver would take my items when my name and picture is on it. Currently on day THREE of waiting on them to tow my car 10 minutes away to a collision shop my car was supposed to be at on Tuesday. It's now end of the day Thursday. Last night on day 2 of no tow, I finally called asking when they heck they were planning to get my car. They knew exactly which car was mine and said they'd been busy and gotten a late start and that if it wasn't picked up that night, it would for sure be done the next morning. This morning came and went. Unreal how horrific this place is. It does NOT take 3 days to tow a car 10 minutes away!!!! AAA contracted this company to make a long tow of 140 miles to San Jose. I had been stranded since 5pm the day before and AAA was having a difficult time finding a tow company. Blue Streak agreed to tow my vehicle to San Jose, but it would be a delayed tow so they would be picking it up and storing it in their yard until they could deliver it the next day. I had to arrange a ride home since I couldn't ride back with the car. They were supposed to pick ip the car at 8pm. My ride home arrived at 6:30. I called the "office" at Blue Streak and they told me to leave car unlocked and the key under the floor mat. I wasn't totally comfortable doing this as I car very much about my car, but it would only be 1.5 hours and I was eager to get home considering I had been stranded on the road for over 24 hours. I call Blue Streak at 8 to confirm that they picked up my car. They tell me they are delayed and it'll be another 2 hours. I call them at 11, they seem irritated by me calling. They tell me it is being picked up right now and taken back to their yard then a driver will take it to me at 9am the next day. I am happy it is safe and I go to bed. I call them the next day at 11am. They tell me the driver will be leaving at around 1pm. That's fine with me as long as it's coming. The driver calls me at 5pm to tell me he is ready to drop it off. He drops it off and I chat with him. He tells me he picked up the car right before he left to deliver it to me from the parking lot I had left it the night before. They lied to me and never brought it to their yard. They left my car unlocked with the keys in it all evening, all night, and most of the next day. They are dishonest and completely disrespectful of other people and their property. The driver was a nice guy but the people in the "office" are absolute garbage and nobody that you want to do business with. read more

At 9:53am My roadside assistance text me that Blue Streak Towing would pick up my car and me, and tow it to the subaru dealership at ETA of 11:19am. At 10:59 i get a call saying they are 20mins out. At 12:20 I call Blue Streak Towing saying noone gas shown up and asking for an ETA. The man who answered the phone said "the car had already been picked up an hour ago." I told him it has not, im in it right now. He became short with me and told me he would call me back. (This should be illegal saying its picked up when not) At 12:50, 30mins later, I call Blue streak towing again to ask what was going on. He was rude, and unhelpful to me, saying they are running behind and it will be "a while" before they can come out. He says i can leave my keys in the car and dont have to be there when they show. I told him i need a ride with the car to the dealership so im not stranded. He told me someones coming with a truck when they can, but in a short and rude way. At 1:00 I decided to call my roadside assistance back to tell hem the situation, they had in their system the car has been towed and the service was complete, No, it wasnt. (again the company is lying to roadside assistance saying their company has fullfilled the job when really no one has shown up) They said tehy would call blue streak and put me on hold. They said blue streak will be there in about 25mins. At 1:45, I call my roadside assistant letting them know they still havnt come and that i would like to request a different tow company come get me. They put me on hold and call blue streak. She gets onb the phone saying are you sure you want to cancel, they are 20 mins away (ya right i heard that the last few hours) I cancelled the tow. This company is accepting jobs that they cannot service in the time they say they will be there. If this company was behind and busy they should not be accepting the roadside assistant requests for the tow and allow a tow company who is available to handle the job. This is very unprofessional service! I am going to be writing to Consumer affairs as well as consumer complaints. I urge that anyone who has experienced this kind of neglect and disrespect from this company should do the same. Then maybe their actions will change with enough feedback. This company is acting in a fraudulent manor lying to the roadside assistant company saying they have handled customers when they really haven't and the people are still stranded waiting for them! As others have mentioned in their reviews, this business is very unprofessional and a waste of everyone's time. When we needed a flat tire changed on our motor home 15 miles away, our Insurance Company called Blue Streak Towing and were told they would be there in 60 minutes. When that time passed, I tried calling Blue Streak and got their voice mail, and their mailbox was full and not accepting messages. That should have been our first clue. Calling the Insurance Company back, they were told some story from Blue Streak that they did not have the right jack and had to turn back. Then when I kept hitting redial, I got someone at Blue Streak that said the Insurance Company gave them the wrong size vehicle rating and they had to turn back to their shop. Blue Streak was given the correct vehicle weight and size in the beginning. After about 15 phone calls and the ETA changing to add another 22 minutes, 38 minutes, 25 minutes, it took Blue Streak over 4 hours to drive the 15 miles to get to us, only to have the driver show up in a ratty, wreak of a small pick up truck with about 5 tools and the wrong size jack. After 3 hours, luckily the Insurance Company had another towing company from farther away also dispatched. After about 40 minutes, Blue Streak was finally somehow able to jury rig a way to jack up the motor home and change the tire. He took our information and left. He never checked the tire pressure. Meanwhile, Extreme Towing from Placerville showed up about the same time (from further away mind you) and he stuck around and checked the air pressure on the tire and made sure everything was ok before he was on his way. I would not recommend Blue Streak to anyone. Very unprofessional. They were not truthful to the insurance company and they kept extending the ETA knowing full well they would be unable to meet the timeline. If you are in the Placerville/Plymouth area around Highway 49 and your Insurance Company says they will call Blue Streak, tell them "no way" and request Extreme Towing. Trust me, you will save yourself a lot of time and headache. I wish I would have asked who they were calling and checked Yelp reviews first. My bad. read more

Negative stars are more like it.... We had the unfortunate experience of being dispatched to Blue Streak Towing through Jaguar Emergency roadside assistance. Jaguar states they will send you a text confirmation with the Tow Company and ETA; and has promised our text was received shortly after hanging up the phone with Jaguar. Our initial call was placed with Jaguar at 9PM on a Thursday, the text confirmation showed an ETA from Blue Streak of 11:30PM. Fortunately for us we weren't broken down on the side of a highway somewhere, we literally broke down in our driveway. I had phoned the number that was sent to me in my text and had the pleasure (sarcasm) of speaking with Bob, the dispatcher. I wanted them to phone us before arriving in case we fell asleep; in all my life I have NEVER received an ETA from a tow company three hours after the call has been placed. When I made the simple request to Bob to phone prior to arriving, he began to tell me that they were working the CHP dispatch that night and that the 11:30PM ETA was inaccurate and that it would be more like 1AM, I asked again if he could call in advance and told him that we needed the vehicle at the Service Department in the morning for an appointment, he said, it would be even later, "more like 3AM and it would be best to just pick it up "First thing in the morning so you can make your appointment." He gave me some more instructions on how and where to leave our car and the key and told me that he would call "the moment it was picked up first thing in the morning and also when it arrives" at the Service Department. We left the car as instructed and left at 7AM for work, the morning goes on and no call from Bob. 10AM; I call and there is no answer, I leave a message asking if the car is picked up and note that we never received a phone call. I call the Service department, they don't have it either. 11AM, call Blue Streak and talk to a women, she says that "Bob left a mess of paperwork that she is sorting through" and that someone would be by "right away" to pick it up, she also mentions that they are picking up another car around the block from me....interesting...kinda seems like Bob put me off so he can get his already scheduled pick up to avoid making two trips.... 6 HOURS LATER!!!!! My car makes it to the service department, WAY too late for any work to be done! I'm out a car for the entire weekend thanks to Brown oops! I mean Blue Streak Towing! WAY TO GO BOB not only are your ethics obsolete, but your word and integrity are non-existent. read more

Warning: I would avoid this company if at all possible and even 1 star is overly generous. They are a contracted provider for Mbrace (Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance). After 4 hours of excuses for being late, they never arrived, and to make matters worse, lied about having to "deal with a fatality" apparently trying to make me feel some guilt. I guess they're not aware of the internet and our ability to look up traffic incidents in real time through CHP--guess what, no injuries in the county this AM. The next excuse was that apparently "their truck broke down" but was on it's way. That was 2 hours ago. Can't imagine how they could fix their own truck at all really? Also bear in mind that at no point did I ever receive a phone call from them...had to initiate all contacts. Mbrace as well is aware of this fiasco and should really rethink their contractors. My new car's stock rims and tires were stolen and left on retaining wall boulders and slammed to the ground. My insurance sent another tow truck company and they sent 3 drivers with the wrong equipment to get this car off the ground. Called for a tow at 1:00 for a dead battery in my car. My roadside assistance dispatched Blue Streak with an ETA of 1 hour. Once it had been an hour, I tried to reach Blue Streak Towing directly. "30 more minutes" is what I was told 3 times. Finally after 3 hours they arrived. I ended up having to leave my car overnight at the repair shop since I was so late getting it there. A 3 hour wait time would have been no problem since I was at home. However since it was only suppose to be 1 hour and then was 3, it caused a ton of disruption in my day. The only positive is that the driver himself was very friendly. I felt bad for the guy- he got here when he could. His dispatch should have communicated the wait time better for me so I could plan accordingly. Thank god I wasn't on the side of the road. read more

This was hands down the best towing experience I've ever had! Mainly due to our driver, David. He turned a terrible night into a fun one!! My friend and I got a flat tire 20 minutes outside of Tahoe, so we were basically stranded on highway 50 at a family motel (very hidden might I add). He called us to assure that he was going to find us no matter what, and he did!! He was the best tow truck driver I could have ever imagined. He told us jokes literally the whole way home (2 hours away), which was so entertaining. I seriously can't thank David enough for being our hero of the night. Needed my AWD infinity moved to dealer under warrenty. The insurance company sent Blue Streak. Warrenty co. required and requested a flat bed. Well.... I get a medium wrecker. The driver tells me their flat bed is broken, but no big deal, he'll dolly my car. This is where it becomes a problem. I call the warrenty people. They put the owner of Blue Streak on the line and he decides to argue about this with me. No customer is right. In fact, he refuses to get off of the phone when asked by me and the warrenty people to hang up. Great customer service! The truck looked like crap and I really liked the oil stains it left. NEVER RECOMMEND A TOTAL NO SHOW!! Called for service was given a 3hr wait. After they didn't show up I called and went straight to voicemail. Totally ignored and blocked anyway of communication... While on a trip up to Tahoe, I had some car trouble and needed my car towed back to Sacramento. I called this company and they agreed to do the job. I was given an hour to an hour and a half estimated time for the tow truck to arrive and he showed up 2 and a half hours later. After giving him instructions on what to with my keys and such when he arrives in Sacramento, (since I was going to to continue heading to Tahoe), he took off. A couple hours later I received a text message with photos of my car from a family member. The tow truck driver dropped my car off with it facing the wrong side of the road, and also with the keys left in the ignition. Caution, worst service and con job. They say in their ads they remove cars for free, if titled and registered. But they still managed to make me pay anyways. Blue Streak Towing has an "F" rating with the better business bureau. They should be way to embarrassed to keep a profile here on Yelp. By all means they take the cake when it comes to defining the word "FLAKE!!!" Gave them 2 different chances on two different days to come...they never showed, never called to cancel and sent all my calls to voice mail which were never returned. If they can't keep their word to show up or at the very least give updates they should never be trusted to tow something of value and liability. I would never, ever, recommend these guys! We waited 4 hours to have my corvette picked up and taken 6 miles up the road on Grizzly Flat road. They were called by the insurance company approximately 2:30! I was given an arrival of 5:30pm! REALLY!! I decided to be patient and not go ballistic. 5:30 I got ahold of dispatch and was told they would be on site at 6! I then get a message from the insurance company, this towing company could not get to me until 8:30pm! I have been sitting on the side of the road for 5 hours! I called their dispatch and cancelled the call! I then called Another tow company In Placerville and got service in 35 minutes! Never ever use this company!! We have sent messages to the insurance company and will in meet with our insurance agent about the horrible experience! read more

Do not use this company! Dodge Lifetime warranty sent them out with a 80min ETA which I was shocked with. Then at 3.5 hours later they had to call Sam's towing out of Sac to tow my car 3 miles. So my 80 min wait for a tow of 3 miles turned into a 4.5 hour wait. Blue Streak tow is by far the worst tow company EVER! read more

My car broke down on Wrights Lake Road. I waited 3 hours, the tow company said to leave the car and they would get it to the dealership. 24 hours later, after the tow company and insurance company could not locate my car, I drove 70 miles to where I left it. The tow company said they looked for an hour, they must have a vision problem, or more likely an honesty problem. I would not ever use or trust this company. read more
