Our LS1 Trans-Am would not start after our Mexican Dinner in Diamond Springs, so we contacted Extreme Towing. R.C. Rolled up in a huge flat bed International tow truck and he loaded up Salty-Dog the Trans-Am and strapped it down with big chains and 4 yellow safety straps. The truck was warm and cozy, and Snacky asked R.C. to tell some fun towing stories. This guy is an awesome Driver, and saved the day for us!!! On our drive home from Burning Man, the water pump on our bus went out and started making a horrifying noise. Good lord, what were we going to do? A massive van, towing a trailer with all manner of nonsense strapped to the outside. Matt from Extreme Towing showed up and said, "Oh, don't worry, this is easy." Waaaaaaaaaay too expensive. $500 for a tow. Crazy! Didn't even have time to cancel and use AAA for FREE. They really hook you and won't refund you. The only thing they have going is nice drivers. I am soooooo grateful for Extreme Towing and especially Dispatch Nicole and driver AJ. I was locked out of my car on a Sunday at noon. My AAA said a driver could be avail in 2 hours (not from Extreme)... I was okay waiting because I knew it was a busy day on Highway 50 and we were in a remote area. The company called me and basically told me they couldn't do it after all (dang!). I ended up finding Extreme on my own ... and Nicole was quick to say they could do it and referred back to AAA to redirect the call. These guys are amazing. Quick, professional, with excellent customer service. The price wasn't too steep either. The driver, Sam, was super personable and knew exactly what he was doing. I had been dreading finding a towing company and having to deal with waiting around all day, but from the time I called Extreme Towing to when the job was complete it only took about an hour and a half, and an hour of that was round trip drive time. Coming out the river mind it's a dirt road well some how my 2018 Chevy 2500 got off the road. Was broken down and arranged a tow from AAA. AAA could not be there until after 4:00 a.m. . After waiting some time I called Extreme Towing instead. I was told it would be 45 minutes and $250. I confirmed that I was going to cancel my other tow and have them come since it was only going to be 45 minutes. Confirmed four times that it would be 45 minutes. After an hour and a half I called back and then was told the driver fell back to sleep. 3 hours passed! My car was loaded on the tow truck after 4:00 a.m. I should have just kept AAA. The driver was nice though, although I would rather have not heard about his politics and stuff non stop. read more

When I saw Extreme was assigned, I knew they would be a solid based on reputation. Owner said he interviews the two drivers n both said they didn't steal . Well am I surprise at the response ? No! This review is long, long, LONG, overdue! But unfortunately I lost the business card Sean had given me and just found it now. Better late than never, but sorry guys this took me so long! These guys are the greatest, and their service is the best I've ever received. My mini cooper reversed backwards at a gas station, slamming into a tree, and ended up wedged on top of the concrete outlining the gas station. Simply hooking it up and pulling it off would have damaged my entire underside. These guys went out of their way, Sean and his boss (apologies, can not remember his name), to manage to get my tires onto planks of wood and lift my car up, so that they could properly roll it off the concrete guard without totaling my car. They took their time, and the process took about 3 hours, but they were friendly and as careful as they could be. Ultimately they finally were able to get my up and onto the towing truck without any further damage caused beneath my car. Since I was stuck in El Dorado Hills, Sean gave me a ride back to my apt which was about 30 minutes away, and carefully placed my car in the parking lot while giving me advice and making sure I was okay. So BRAVO TO THESE GUYS! They went out of their way and above and beyond in taking care of my car, no matter how long it took or how tired they probably were. Plus giving me a free ride home.
