Went on a Thursday night about 6pm was seated right away. The server was friendly. Food came out in a decent amount of time. Steak was delicious. The mashed potatoes had skins which I don't love but they were good. I also had a house salad. Overall had a good dining experience.

If you are looking for an elegant place to enjoy a special dinner, this place checks all the boxes. The atmosphere is quite classic, warm and inviting, with a refined touch. The staff is top notch, true professionals. We were greeted at the front by a smiling, welcoming face. It continued from there. Our wait staff was attentive, polite, and treated us we made there night coming in. The manger made the rounds, visiting the tables ensuring customers are satisfied. Plenty of parking. The food was cooked to perfection. The espresso rubbed rib eye was a complex mix of flavors. The blended nicely on the pallet, each bite better than the last. Brussels sprouts are hard to pull off, but they knocked it out of the park.

This nice Steak and Seafood restaurant is located in the Cool Springs Mall area. It has a warm and inviting interior. The service was very good and the food was delicious. They have wood fired grills and a full bar. They serve lunch until 4:00 and then they have a separate Dinner menu, but I think you can get some Dinner items for lunch. They have apps, Salads, Sandwiches, Signature Steaks, Seafood, Chicken, Salads and Desserts. The food that we had was big portions served hot and fresh and came out in a timely manner. We've been here many times over the years and it always been consistently good overall. It's a good date night spot.

We came here on a quick audible call after having jot had a bit out to eat for quite some time based on dietary desires...but this would be on plan so we decided to get a steak....here's what we found: Ambiance: Connors is nice, not overly fancy by any means but comfortable and has ample mood lighting to make it a romantic place if so desired. Service: we were sat right away and our waiter was nice. He gave us some time for our son to arrive and then we all ordered. Food took exceptionally long for 2 steaks (that's what you come here for) and a burger. My steak arrived super well done after being ordered medium rare and when I advised they took my plate and I waited, and waited. After my family had pretty much finished eating they brought me another plate - this time with the veggies cold and the steak was medium rare but it was the wrong steak. Clearly this was a bad night for the kitchen and wait staff communication and as for the manager who brought me the 2nd plate - no apology, no comp even a dessert for the trouble. Sometimes bo matter what it's just not going to go your way. Food: Despite the kitchen and wait staff snafu The steak was good. Veggies were cold and I didn't want to send something back a 2nd time as it was already an issue. Price: For the service we received and the problems definitely not worth the money I had to pay. Will probably not return and the service and quality of food is available at a few other places for equal to if not a bit less than here. Despite adversity keep Munching!

Excellent food, service, prices and ambiance! I have dined here on four occasions and it has always been great. The inside is welcoming and spacious. They have a nice area to accommodate groups for special dining events. They have a large bar area, great happy hour specials and the drinks are good. The Bloody Mary mix is made in house. The menu has a variety of food options and the prices are very reasonable. They have a great lunch special menu. Our party had a variety of items including steak, fish and chips, chicken piccata, etc. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Will definitely visit again.

My crab cakes were what I would call bland . My wife didn't finish her prime rib . The others at the table had a good experience with their plates though . My sweet tea was more water than tea and if you held up to the light you could see right through the cup . The men's room smelled of urine and the trash receptacle was full at the door when leaving the restroom. The manager did come by to make amends with a desert for the wife's prime rib , but we declined . Over all I don't see the value or any reason to return

Service was excellent. Ambiance was loud and lighting was dim. Very it's setting to me. That didn't affect my rating. I'm from out of town so maybe it was just what I am used to, but everyone at my table thought the water was awful tasting. My coworker had bones in her Salmon and my lobster tail was over cooked. 3 other coworkers got steak and they had zero complaints.

Connor's bar is the best kept secret on a College football Saturday night. Go see Alex! No one was at the full bar, with a fair wine list. The food is excellent; the prime rib is thick cut, but is like butter in the mouth. The Chilean Sea Bass Oscar is the best anywhere; it melts in the mouth and the sauce is excellent! Plenty of free parking out front.

I was in town for business and my in-laws picked me up at my hotel and brought us all here for a midweek dinner. It's in a complex with other stores and restaurants and at first my father-in-law had trouble finding the place through GPS. We arrived and were promptly seated. We had the spinach dip app (very nice) and although I don't eat as much beef as I used to, I got the strip steak with a side of sweet potatoes. My father-in-law got the prime rib, which is his favorite. Everything was prepared well and the service was friendly and efficient. This appears to be a small chain with several locations in the South. It probably wouldn't be my first choice, but I would go back if invited.

We ordered the ahi tuna stack, ribeye with brussel sprouts and mac n cheese, and prime rib with Caesar salad and creamed spinach. All tasted great. Service was also good.

Ask the Community - Connors Steak & Seafood

Is the steak at Connor's good? I've been there, but never ordered steak. (I typically cook steak in an iron skillet at home, but that is not an option tonight, as we are meeting others for a celebration.) TIA!

I wish the rest of the meal had been on that same level. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp boil and specifically asked for the Cajun butter on the side. Everything in the boil seemed extremely overcooked. The eggs had the green ring around the yolks that you get when they've been boiled far too long, the corn was so tough and overcooked that it was nearly impossible to eat, and the sausage tasted very cheap and also overcooked. The shrimp were the biggest disappointment. Several had a green goo inside that was incredibly unappetizing, and after seeing that, I could barely continue eating the meal. Even the Cajun butter was disappointing. It tasted like butter mixed with the seasoning packet from instant ramen rather than a flavorful Cajun butter. I really wanted to like this place, especially since the appetizer and oysters were good, but my entrée was honestly awful. For a restaurant specializing in Cajun seafood, I expected much better quality and preparation. I left having barely eaten my dinner and feeling like the entire boil was a waste.

A Wonderful Experience at J. Alexander's After Leaving Bonefish Grill…read more After leaving Bonefish Grill, I considered stopping at Red Lobster, but there was only one car in the parking lot. Across the street, I noticed J. Alexander's, where about 15 people were walking out smiling, and the parking lot was still fairly full for 8:45 PM. That was enough to convince me to give it a try. I walked in and was greeted immediately by the host, seated right away in a booth, and within 30 seconds, my waiter came over to ask what I would like to drink. The service was attentive and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I ordered the crab cake, which was what I had originally planned to get at Bonefish Grill, and I have to say it was one of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten. It came with a choice of coleslaw and fries, or I could substitute an amazing tomato salad. The tomato salad was simple, elegant, and delicious. I placed my order at 8:51 PM, and by 9:15 PM, my food arrived fresh, hot, and unbelievably delicious. If you're thinking about dinner, avoid Bonefish Grill and Red Lobster and make your way to J. Alexander's instead. You won't regret it. Everyone was friendly, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. After the disappointing experience I had at Bonefish Grill, J. Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

Minutes Later -- Still Completely Ignored…read more I walked into Bonefish Grill around 8:00 PM expecting a normal dining experience. Instead, it took approximately seven minutes just to find a host and get acknowledged. The hostess eventually sent me to a booth in the bar area. Then things got even worse. I sat there while employees walked past me without saying a word. At one point, six employees were standing at a table directly behind me folding silverware. Six employees -- including the same hostess who had just sent me to the booth -- were right there, and not one of them acknowledged that I was sitting there. No greeting. No "We'll be right with you." No offer of a drink. No one even asked if I was ready to order. It is now 8:30 PM, and I am STILL sitting here without anyone coming to check on me. What's especially frustrating is that I was prepared to order a drink, an appetizer, and an entrée. I came into this restaurant ready to spend my money and enjoy a meal. Instead, I was treated as though I didn't exist. At this point, I'm leaving and will have to find a fast-food restaurant. I've traveled and eaten at restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't understand how a restaurant can operate this way. Bonefish Grill isn't in Houston for whatever reason, but after this experience, I think I understand why this particular location may be struggling. When six employees can stand directly behind a paying customer, including the hostess who seated them, and nobody thinks to say hello or offer service, this isn't just one employee having a bad day. This feels like a management and leadership problem. Restaurants don't lose customers because of one bad night. They lose customers when employees stop caring and management allows that behavior to become acceptable. Bonefish Grill management: your customers are not invisible. I wasn't asking for special treatment -- just basic customer service.

Ambiance was nice as always. Not too loud but was pretty busy. We had maybe a 5 minute wait once we checked in for our reservation. Our server was the sweetest on a Saturday evening and she was so knowledgeable about their different wine options. He asked her to pick a good red wine that was middle of the road and her option blew him away. It was very good. I got a red sangria and was pleased with it, I prefer mine to be sweeter though. Their bread was delicious as always, crab dip was very good! Wish I had more. Their Caesar was much larger than expected so we shared it but it was good. I opted for the filet medallions Oscar (not pictured) which was good and ordered them medium. Honestly they weren't cooked consistently at all but still very good. Some pretty rare and maybe one out of 4 were actually medium. The ones too undercooked I just took home and ate the next day with eggs. Wish it came with a little more asparagus though. Whipped potatoes are very good! Overall enjoyed my time here and after all: two glasses of wine, two sangrias, bone in ribeye, Caesar, au gratin potatoes, filet medallions Oscar, whipped potatoes and crab dip we had a bill of around $225.

I went with the filet mignon, paired with a baked potato and a wedge salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning--definitely the highlight of my meal. The baked potato was massive and tasty, though it could have used a little more butter and sour cream to really take it over the top. Service was excellent throughout. The staff was very attentive, consistently refilling water glasses and checking in to see if anyone wanted another mimosa, which added to the relaxed brunch vibe. All in all, a solid first brunch visit. Good food, great service.

We arrived a little early so we could sit at the bar and enjoy an Old Fashioned before the rest of the guests arrived. It's a classic, old-school bar with so much character! Once we got to our table, we were greeted with some warm, toasty bread to get things started. For an appetizer, we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were large, and the cocktail sauce was perfect! Now, here's a must: Order the salad bar! It's legendary! For my entrée, I went with my usual Filet Oskar, sooo good and cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the filet and the fish, and everyone loved their meals. Since it was Mom's 90th birthday, she had the Peppermint Ice Cream, which is her favorite! And here's the really sweet part. Our waitress, Sylvia, noticed that I had birthday candles sitting off to the side. Without saying a word, she discreetly came behind me, took the candles, and put them on Mom's ice cream! Then they worked their magic. They came to the table, took a few pictures, and gave us the photos in a little paper frame to take home. What a wonderful memory from such a special birthday! And back to Sylvia, she was amazing! She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, helped us while ordering, kept our water glasses filled, and always greeted us with her beautiful smile. This is why Sperry's is legendary, the food is great, but the service is what makes the experience truly special! If you're celebrating a special occasion, or you just want to have an amazing meal with amazing service, what are you waiting for? Get your reservation in! Cheers!

We always get the jumbo lump crab cakes for our appetizer because they are the absolute best! For our drinks we got the vodka martini with blue cheese olives, and an old fashioned. Both are great! For our lunch we got the Reuben with shoestring fries, and the Cajun grilled mahi sandwiche with sweet potato fries. Both were terrific. We were both way too full to get dessert this time around. Our service was spectacular as usual and the atmosphere is similar to the belle meade location. We loved everything about it and we can't wait to go back.
