Nice location with convenient parking. Intimate setting but a little loud for just personal conversation unless sitting beside each other instead of across the table. It gets rather busy so I would recommend reserving a time. Service was just okay and could have had some improvement. Food was excellent! Full of flavor. We demolished everything including dessert.

From the moment you walk in, North Italia hits you with an upbeat, lively vibe. It's clearly a popular spot--there were several people waiting for tables--so reservations are highly recommended. We went early and snagged seats at the bar to kick things off with cocktails, which turned out to be a great move. The bar staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel welcoming right away. I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye--excellent. Smooth, well-balanced. In the summer months, the outdoor seating is a great option too. Once seated at our table, we dove into appetizers. There were four of us, so sharing was the name of the game. The White Truffle Garlic Bread was a standout--warm, aromatic, and downright addictive. We also ordered the Italian Meatballs (two per order), so naturally we got two orders. Big flavor, perfectly cooked, and definitely worth it. Add in the Wild Shrimp Scampi and the Calamari--both cooked just right--and we were off to a strong start. For my entrée, I went with the Ricotta Cavatelli. It was rich and comforting with just a subtle hint of lemon. I usually lean toward spicy dishes, so this was a departure for me, but as a crab lover, I really enjoyed it. That said, if you're looking for heat, this isn't the dish for you. We also had the Sunday Night Lasagna...on a Wednesday. Rules are meant to be broken. It was hearty, flavorful, and absolutely delivered. Dessert was a must--and North Italia did not disappoint. The Tiramisu is non-negotiable. The Salted Caramel Budino was so good. The Hazelnut Torta? Fantastic. And the Salted Caramel Gelato--just get it. Trust me. Last but definitely not least, our server Matt was amazing. Great personality, attentive without hovering, and really added to an already excellent experience. North Italia delivers great food, a fun atmosphere, and top-notch service. A place I'd happily return to again and again.

I love this North Italia location! There was parking right by the front door, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was SO attentive! I ordered my go-to, the heirloom beet and chicken salad. It was delicious and brought to our table quickly. I tried the Hugo Spritz, and I really enjoyed it.

Made a return trip and was not disappointed. Friday night and it was busy the whole time we were there, so reservations still suggested. We started with the Classico Board, it was the perfect size for the 3 of us! Good variety of meats, cheeses and a little bread to go with! I had the Strozzapreti, which is chicken, spinach, mushrooms, pine nuts and a cream sauce over pasta. Very good and given that I enjoyed that previously mentioned board, I took a box to bring a bunch of it home. Lest you think that means I was full.... I somehow managed to find room to split a dessert. We had the Salted Caramel Budino, which was a lovely presentation but also very good! The espresso fudge hidden in with the banana was so well balanced (ie. not too banana-y!). And the pecan toffee gave the perfect crunch. Good end to a great meal. Server was excellent and attended to us sufficiently to make it feel like a nice special meal!

Excellent service. Enjoyed this place very much. We had 6 and although they were busy they accommodated our group. Excellent selections as well as a great wine list.

31 Oct 2025. I'm a frequent diner here, and while the food and service can be inconsistent, I keep coming back for the flavors -- the dishes are always packed with taste. The only downside is that the pasta portions can vary quite a bit from visit to visit, which can be a letdown. The ambiance is cozy and dimly lit, with plenty of seating available. On busy days, the quoted wait time is usually 20-30 minutes, but it's often shorter than expected. There's also plenty of parking either street side are the free garage behind the building.

Well....here we are again and yet another birthday celebration to be had for one of my daughters. This time we made a reservation for North and here is what we discovered on our food adventure... Ambiance: Typical more upscale but with a laid back vibe with clean lines and a causal but appropriate theme for what I would call a semi-Italian fare restaurant. Service: Our waitress was pleasant and seated us promptly upon our arrival. The booth only sat 6 (a little cramped) but they added a chair at the end for our birthday girl so we could all be together since we were a party of 7. Drinks were refilled regularly and she was attentive but not pushy nor absent! Food: All of the dishes were hot and all of the pasta dishes were tasty. Pizzas were also very good especially the ricotta and sausage pizza. Cacio e pepe arancini was less than tasty - it was significantly overfried however I guess you take that chance when you order a fried dish (which was my mistake as I was just wanting traditional Cacio e pepe but they didn't offer that. Price: High for the portions and for the quality however it's on par for most of the quasi italian restaurants around. We did not have drinks this evening but a glance at the menu also put those on par with everywhere else. Summary: If you're looking for a solid place to get some pasta or a particular dish for a nice evening out or a celebration of sorts then you will be satisfied here at North. keep Munching!

North Italia is one of our favorite Italian restaurants we like to go. We first tried this restaurant in Irvine, CA. We were so excited they opened a location in Franklin.

I've never had a meal here I didn't love, and I've tried at least half of the menu over the past year. The cocktails are delicious and refreshing. Pizzas, salads, and entrees are so good. The salmon on the arugula salad is a light, healthy, satisfying meal, and the Pomegranate Mule is perfectly balanced and tasty.

Best place we ate in Franklin! So many gluten free options -- nearly everything can be adapted to be gluten free!! Staff was super helpful answering all my questions and was able to help me find a dairy free pasta option too!! Everything tasted fresh and yummy! The vibes were a mix of upscale and fast casual, which I think is perfect!

Good Sunday brunch, good service, really good food, with large portions.including the Chicken Parmesan, the Ricotta Cavatelli and the White Truffle Garlic Bread. The Tiramisu is exceptional with chocolate beads, and has solid ladyfingers. This is a full bar and a diverse wine list in an open bistro setting.

(Supposed to be) crispy cheesy bread that felt too soggy
    Shemesh Y.

I travel a lot to this area, and this used to be my favorite place. But my last 2 visits were... meh To start, we asked for bread and olive oil, and were told there was no bread, but we could get a cheesy bread (sounds good, right? ). We got a soggy bread with some whipped buttery ricotta on top, and (American) mozzarella. Yikes :/ The bolognese sauce (still tasty, but watered- down in texture and had very little meat) was disappointing. The salmon (a bit over fried/burned, but well cooked in the middle) came with bland Israeli couscous. I would have wanted more veggies there or a pasta with more sauce.

Went home and made my own dinner. Your arugula salad is in the trash.

What pasta dishes can be made dairy free? Also, one website mentioned they had dairy free mozzarella, is this true or false hope?

Hello! We can make every pasta dish dairy free, with exception of our anolini pasta dish. We unfortunately we do not have dairy free mozzarella. Hope this helps!

We love coming to North Italia on Friday afternoons for happy hour, however, we thought that the bar side was only for 21 and up, is it? Some families with children are ask to be seated in the main area and some are not.

Under 21 are welcome at the bar! We will follow up with the staff to ensure everyone knows the same policy. Thank you for your question!

Do you have thin crust pizza?

If you've been to Italy, I would say this is the classic Italian thickness. It isn't thin like New York City pizza, but not thick like Chicago style. A good in between...

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

That patio also makes bringing the pups a lot easier. As with all Neighbors, they are all about sports and with walls and walls of TV's, you cannot miss the game or event you are after! Food and drink here are solid. If you have never been to Neighbors, it is true sports bar food with wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, pretzel bites, etc...and a few house specialties, but mostly your standard stuff. And that is not a bad thing, while simple, they do it well and I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered here. Service is friendly and good, but efficient is questionable as they recently introduced a flag based system where you put your number card on your stand and when your server notices it, they come your way. My only issue is this takes the natural check-in's of service away and while the idea is good in theory, execution is still a bit clunky as we had to seek out our server twice after having our card displayed for several minutes. We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better.
