This was a really great place to stay. Staff was amazing the whole time. Checked in and took my belongings up with a cart, didn't even realize they had luggage carts. The unit itself was nice. I just wish it had a little more space for the living room and kitchen area. The bed was nice and large. I had the ac on the whole time, but the vent to the room isn't the best so it was hot sometimes even with the ac on 67. Some ceiling fans would be a nice addition to the room. The kitchen had everything except a pizza pan and pizza cutter. I also wish there were 2 more Tupperware containers, but we made do. We played bingo one of the days, and rented movies on a rainy day. Swam a few times in the pool closest to our building. We played mini golf the day we checked in with some friends. It was a lot of fun. We went to watch Frozen on one of the movie nights also. The only issue I had was the first night, people were blaring music next door while my daughter was trying to sleep, so security took care of it finally. I was able to order shampoo and conditioner and more towels easily. One of the days, I left my car lights on and my battery died, I was lucky enough that security was able to jump me and it was fine after that. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I read reviews on multiple places and booked it anyways. It was only for two nights with a park visit in between. The only complaint from the two teens was that we weren't staying for longer. Staff: very friendly Location: super convenient Kitchen: small but updated King suite: almost 900 sq ft. Clean, comfortable, perfect Pools: very inviting Fitness center: was used twice for a run on the treadmill, perfect since it was beastly hot outside. We were in 2-119 I would absolutely recommend this place. The ability to cook simple meals and to have extra space with two bedrooms/bathrooms with a washer/dryer was so convenient.

    Nasty

Terrible, outdated and very dirty! Furniture is so old you almost hit the floor when you sit down, beds are really uncomfortable, not worth the money at all

Nice enclosed porch area. Spacious kitchen and living room. With 2 beds and 2 baths.

The first room we were given smelt really bad and gave my son hard breathing. We asked for a new room and they were quick to resolve the issue. The new room did not smell. The linens were clean. The apartment was clean and roomy. It is a nice suite with two bedrooms, living room, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. 4 pools, 2 hot tubs. mini golf, tennis, basketball, arcade room (but it is small) golf frisbee I believe. A mini market!. It was nice. We enjoyed the room, the privacy, the pools and hot tubs and the experience. Our only issue (the smelly room) was quickly resolved and that says ALOT. Would definitely stay again.

A dump!! The 1970's/1980's are calling! So much for the reviews I read before picking this place...this place is no more than 2 stars on its best day...I gave it one star to even out the obvious mistake postings made here. I should have gotten into a MUCH nicer and newer complex at the same price or maybe a little higher but it would have been worth it. LOTS of kids. Don't come here for quiet.

Booked this resort via my job. It's a benefit they offer. Booked for a really good price at the end of August of 2015. It seems this is when all the schools around Orlando go back into session so the price was much cheaper at that time. Location: Place is about 5 minutes away in a car from downtown Disney. There is plenty of stores around for market shopping and also plenty of restaurants. We walked to the market and back, no problem. It's about 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes away from Universal. Plenty of Uber drivers to pick you up as well. Actual resort is clean and up to date, nothing too fancy just right. We stayed in a two bedroom two bath "room" - they are more like apartments. Ours had full washer and dryer in there. It also has dishwater, microwave, refrigerator and electric stove. You have dishes and cooking utensils included. Very nice, there were two immediate pools by our room that had a handful of people the times we went. Not crowded at all. They also offer shuttle service to both Disney world and Universal. Service The night we arrived was past midnight, they checked us in quickly and had security drive us to our room. Each time we went in there we were helped and everyone seemed professional and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We dropped our bags with the front desk. When we finished our delicious meal (best spring roll I've had in my life), our room was ready. The room was a good size and comfortable if a little on the tired side. Also, after much searching we discovered that our room had no mini bar which was kind of annoying. We weren't able to take advantage of the pool situation because it was unseasonably cold while we were there and even though it's heated, swimming while it was 40 degrees did not seem appealing. We did use the gym facility which was expansive and very well equipped. I would recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Disney but it's not necessarily on par with other Four Seasons Hotels.

I was stunned by how beautiful this place was, and how throughly it made me feel like I was in a little enclave of New Orleans. It was quaint and quiet. When we were walking around there was even a horse-drawn carriage making its way down the street with passengers. (Note that the streets aren't open to traffic, just the carriages and maybe small vehicles that the resort employees use.) The lobby is beautiful and very large. There's a gift shop connected to the lobby, and also a little arcade area further back by the bathrooms. On the other side of the entryway courtyard is the quick service restaurant, Sassagoula's, and the coffee shop (the latter is where you'll get some delicious Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets). My favorite part was the splash pad and pool area. Not for myself, but because of my daughter. They have an amazing pool area. There's the larger pool, which has a serpent-shaped waterslide. Adjacent to that is a smaller splash pad area designed for kids. That splash pad area is HUGE! There are two water slides, one of which is enclose all the way around and is significantly the lager of the two. Opposite that is a smaller waterslide that is open and more appropriate for small children, like my toddler. There are a bunch of other water features like a few little water spouts that move around 360 degrees. There's a little wading pool that doesn't go deep, not even a foot, but fun to sit in and splash. There's also a huge water drum, filled up by a pipe at the top and when there's enough water it spins and releases all the water. That was a lot of fun for all the kids playing around. There was a downside. It may simply be the room that we were in, and it didn't feel small exactly, but if I recall correctly there were no drawers in the room. There was a little bathroom/sink area that had some shelves and a few hangers, but that's not really practical. If I was to consider staying here again, that might be a factor in my decision, because I if I stay here for more than three nights I like to be able to unpack my suitcase, not live out of it. Having said that, I did like this resort quite a lot. I would indeed consider staying here again, especially since we only stayed a single night. There's boat access to at least one park, which is helpful, and we took an Uber to Animal Kingdom. The pool/splash pad alone is a big pull towards this resort (the beignets don't hurt, either!), so next time we make it to Disney Port Orleans will be on my short list.

The tree-lined pathways, the peaceful golf course views from Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, and those newly refurbished rooms? Chef's kiss. The updated design keeps it classy and calm while still giving you that subtle Disney magic. We stayed in The Paddock section, which is such an underrated gem. Close enough to walk to the main building, but with its own pool and splash pad -- and let me tell you, my son absolutely LOVED that splash area. It's the kind of setup that makes you feel like you're in your own little neighborhood within the resort. We took full advantage of The Artist's Palette for quick service, and it delivered. Fresh, flavorful, and plenty of options (even for the little guy). Saratoga quick service is low-key one of the better ones on property. The resort itself is just beautiful. Big, yes -- but in a peaceful, scenic way. Perfect for long stroller walks, coffee in hand, pretending you're living your best upstate New York horse-racing life. And the proximity to Disney Springs? Elite. We took the walking path over and had dinner at D-Luxe Burger because sometimes a burger and fries just hits different after a resort day. There's a lot to love about this resort. The jogging trail and overall scenery are genuinely beautiful and make it feel like a relaxing escape after long park days. The freestyle soda machines were a nice perk, and the food quality exceeded expectations--it felt thoughtfully prepared rather than typical cafeteria-style resort food. Our room was very clean, which always makes a big difference, and the variety of transportation options to the parks was convenient and flexible. For what we paid, the value felt fair, especially considering the amenities. The pool area was also a highlight, and throughout our stay, the employees were consistently professional and helpful. The on-site laundry room was another underrated bonus--it made it easy to head home without a pile of laundry waiting. That said, there were a few drawbacks. We did notice gnats occasionally making their way into the room, which was frustrating. Transportation to Magic Kingdom in particular was inconsistent--the bus took a long time and caused us to miss early entry one morning. One bus driver interaction also stood out, as we were repeatedly corrected about our stroller not being "fully folded" (even though it was), along with strict direction on where we could stand or sit. Additionally, depending on your room location, the walk to Centertown Market can be quite long and inconvenient. The resort is also a bit far from any off-property convenience stores if you need to grab last-minute items, and the lack of a fitness center may be a downside for some guests. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, this was a fun and enjoyable place to stay. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would recommend it--and would stay here again.

It was also extremely busy during our stay, although the staff did a great job and were consistently friendly and helpful. We were "upgraded" to a pool view room which gives you a view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epoct. The biggest frustration was the elevators. They were slow, crowded, and there just didn't seem to be enough of them for the number of guests. We spent a lot of time waiting. The free shuttle to the parks was a nice perk and made getting around easy. The pool area is also very nice, but the best lounge chairs are reserved, and many guests claim chairs early in the morning by leaving towels or personal items on them, even when they're gone for hours. The bar overserves people. As a Hyatt Globalist, breakfast was included each morning. You can choose either the buffet or one entrée from the menu. We opted for the buffet, and while it wasn't anything exceptional, it had a good variety and was satisfying. The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout our stay, which was disappointing. Room service was reasonably priced, but the food was just average and nothing memorable. One thing that could definitely be improved is the entrance gate. If one car is checking in, everyone behind them has to wait, even if they're already registered. It creates unnecessary backups. The resort fee felt high for what was actually included, especially considering the internet issues and some of the property's shortcomings. We got a good room rate, which helped offset the cost, but the added fees made the overall value less impressive. Overall, it's a decent place with excellent employees and some nice amenities, but there are enough operational issues that I'd probably look at other options before staying here again.

Last day was a let down, The previous afternoon I went to the front desk and requested a late check out the next day if it was available. I was told we were approved to check out at 12:30. The next morning I went into my Disney app and noticed that it still showed an 11am checkout, when I called the front desk they said they had no record of it and I would have to check out at 11am, I told them we already made plans that morning around the 12:30 checkout so they would have to honor it. 2 phone calls later I was told that due to our reservation being part of a group it normally wouldn't be allowed, but they would make an "exception". Look, if you weren't able to do that as part of a group maybe your desk staff should see that when they look up our reservation on their iPad and it shouldn't take 2-3 phone calls the next morning to get it sorted out. Annoying and honestly a pretty poor lack of communication. Would I stay here again ?? No. It's fine as far as Hotel's go but for me falls below the expectations the Disney experience should offer. Clean and fun in places but VERY spread out and with some glaring issues.

Rooms worked for our three generations with two big beds per room plus sofa bed. Costly--two hotel rooms as much as a big house in other resort destinations. That is Disney these days--expensive. Fantastic pool area and we found all the employees to be great. Easy walk to EPCOT and its amazing fireworks and great dining options. Easy shuttles to other key Disney sites and a decent Market. Many eating and drink options at the Beach Resort, but Beaches and Cream waits were way too long. Lobby abuzz with all the Disney families. Our girls had their first arcade experience and loved the Minnie, Goofy, Donald breakfast at Cape May Cafe.

You can actually walk to the park and enter at the International Gateway. We requested a single balcony not knowing what that actually was. We didn't think that every room had a balcony and we were disappointed to find that it was not a full balcony but just a small space that one person could stand on, not even sit. As far as the rest of the room, we had 2 queen size beds, a desk, TV, closet, bathroom with separate area for the sinks and then the toilet and shower. There were no dresser drawers since we had benches at the ends of the bed. We also had a little table near the door to set things on as well. It did also have a mini fridge which was a nice touch. The theme of the resort feels like a beach relaxation vibe. They have a quick service, a buffet style restaurant, an ice cream parlor restaurant also serving food, a quick service and bar by the pool and a lounge. You can easily walk next door to the Yacht Club and visit all of their food options as well. Our favorite thing about Beach Club was the pool. It is the only sand bottom pool at Disney and it is massive. They have their own small lazy river with tubes and an entire area for children. The pool does require a wrist band so they will verify you are actually staying at the resort. There is a bar/quick service located outside the pool area. They do have waiter/waitress service in the pool area. We absolutely took advantage of this. Overall we loved it and would stay here again. We also really enjoy the yacht club next door. If you are looking for a deluxe resort, I would highly recommend trying the Beach Club.

A Birthday Wish Come True: Magic and Mediterranean Charm at Suite 8882…read more If you are looking for a place where "European chic" meets "Disney Magic," look no further than Disney's Riviera Resort. We recently visited for a birthday celebration during the April Spring Break rush, and while the parks were bustling, the Riviera remained our peaceful, pixie-dusted sanctuary. As DVC members for 18 years, we've seen our fair share of resorts, but the Riviera continues to prove why joining the club was the best decision we ever made. The Enchantment of Suite 8882 We stayed in a one-bedroom suite (Room 8882), and to say it was spacious is an understatement. Even though it was just the two of us, this room could have easily hosted a whole "mouse-sized" army of five. The layout is pure Disney genius: Hidden Magic Beds: The living room features two hideaway beds that appear out of nowhere. One is tucked under the TV, and the other--a double--is hidden behind a stunning piece of wall art. For the Fans: As a huge Beauty and the Beast and Mickey/Minnie fan, seeing Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip, and Mrs. Potts on the wall art was a total "Be Our Guest" moment. The "Royal" Bath: The bathroom setup is perfect for families (or an executive getting ready for a big day). With a standalone soaking tub and a separate enclosed shower/toilet area with two sinks, no one is ever stepping on each other's toes. Five-Star Amenities & Views The room was outfitted with everything a "Home Away from Home" needs--full kitchen, laundry (with soap!), and plenty of light. We especially loved the balcony, which offered a sweeping view of the courtyard, the lake, the Caribbean Resort, and the Skyliner gondolas gliding toward Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's the perfect spot for a morning coffee before the parks "open up the gates." World-Class Service The cast members truly went above and beyond. From the warm welcome at registration (complete with a birthday pin!) to the incredible service at Topolino's Terrace and Primo Piatto, the hospitality was top-tier. Even the personalized welcome message on the two guest room TVs made us feel like the guests of honor. A Pro-Tip for Travelers: The Grocery "Snag" We did run into one minor "Goofy" moment with our Amazon grocery order. Important Detail: If your order contains alcohol, Disney staff cannot accept it on your behalf if you aren't physically present. Our flight was delayed, and the order was rejected. We simply re-ordered for the next day (sans alcohol to be safe), and the staff was wonderful about delivering everything straight to our room once we returned from the parks. Though the parks were crowded, our stay at the Riviera was a dream. Whether you're celebrating a birthday or just looking for some high-end relaxation, Room 8882 at the Riviera is where the magic happens!

I thought Disney's Riviera Resort was nice. It's themed after the French and Italian Riviera and…read morethe architecture of that area, so it has a bit of an upscale atmosphere. It's a big resort and, during our visit, it felt quite crowded. For example, Le Petit Café and the nearby seating areas (like the Voyageurs Lounge) were full of adults mostly working on their laptops. I believe the shop here, La Boutique, has Riviera-exclusive items--including some high-end clothing and resort-branded art--that you can't find anywhere else at Disney World. The highlight for us was Topolino's Terrace on the 10th floor. They serve Mediterranean cuisine and offer a great Character Dining experience at breakfast and fine dining at night. In terms of transportation, the Disney Skyliner has a station here with lines to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. We took the Skyliner from EPCOT, which was convenient. There's also direct bus service to Magic Kingdom, which we utilized as well.
